279: Unearthly Origins - Ch 2: Military Encounter of the 4th Kind, Bizarre Lights & Extraterrestrial Activity

[00:00:04] Tonight, I'll be taking a look at multiple eyewitness accounts involving strange lights in the sky, possible alien activity in a home, and an amazing encounter on a military base in Germany. These stories and more, all coming up on this edition of Unearthly Origins.

[00:00:42] Thank you for joining me, and welcome. I'm your host, Nic Ryan. Before we start tonight's show, I want to thank Haze for their support. Your generosity helps to make the show possible. And now, let's begin with our first listener story of the night, which comes to us from

[00:01:02] Cassandra. And Cassandra's story is called, GI in Germany Cassandra says, I have a friend stationed at a military base in Germany. I'm not going to say which one because I don't want to get him in trouble.

[00:01:19] He shared this with me as he is afraid of repercussions from his superiors, and he gave me permission to share it with you. We're going to call him George. George was on the night shift doing his best not to fall asleep.

[00:01:33] They had done several drills earlier that day, and he was exhausted. It was 3.30 in the morning, or 0300 military time, when his eyes registered that there was more out there than just the soft glow of the lights in the distance.

[00:01:48] Peering in what used to be empty darkness, he spotted a low-flying craft roughly five feet off the ground. It was triangular in shape and seemed to blend into the sky at first. As it drew closer, George realized what it was he was staring at.

[00:02:05] It was large enough to carry three or four people, and the skin of the ship was marked with multiple runes. He said the skin seemed to flow like water around the craft, shimmering in the lights around it.

[00:02:18] He had initially drawn his sidearm, ready to challenge some unknown persons trespassing where they shouldn't have been. It then came to a stop before him, no more than ten feet away. He couldn't understand why, but he slowly lowered his weapon, returning it to its holster at his side.

[00:02:36] As the ship moved to roughly five feet away, George could see figures moving inside the craft. Not well, but he could see that they were persons all the same. At first a solitary beam of light fell to the ground at his feet.

[00:02:52] It then moved up his legs to the top of his chest before going away. Not long after, George saw a familiar sign, one that sent him into a state of confusion and anxiety. The craft began blinking the universal code for SOS.

[00:03:09] Glancing briefly over his shoulder, he found he was alone, as his partner was sleeping in the guard shack nearly fifteen feet away. Swallowing his fear, he stepped toward the craft. It seemed to open by pouring a section of the watery skin to the ground, allowing him

[00:03:25] to step aboard. As soon as his foot touched the liquid, it moved him quickly inside. The walls inside appeared to be made of the same watery skin, shimmering with every step that was taken. It was bigger on the inside, reminding him of the TARDIS in Doctor Who.

[00:03:44] He felt as though he was in a trance with just how beautiful it was, softly glowing lights where he assumed the flight controls were. Turning to find one of the beings standing beside him, he nodded his head as it indicated that it wanted him to follow.

[00:04:00] Passing the being to what appeared to be some sort of hospital area, he saw one of the entities laying on a floating bed. Its body was bruised and lacerated. He found himself wondering what had happened to the entity, and turned to look at the one

[00:04:15] that had escorted him there. The being made a gesture that they had crashed due to a human firing a weapon at the ship, and their equipment that they would have used to heal the being had been damaged.

[00:04:27] Looking closer at the being, he could see bruising on its light gray skin as well. Now George always carried a small first aid kit in his fatigues, something his fellow soldiers would tease him about.

[00:04:39] He pulled out some non-stick gauze pads and athlete's tape so that it wouldn't stick to the being's skin. He said the being's skin was cool to the touch, but he couldn't take his eyes away from its blood. George said that it was almost silvery in color, like mercury.

[00:04:55] The eyes of this particular entity were a faded blue, while those of his companions were almost black. George took this to mean that the wounded being was close to death from his injuries.

[00:05:08] Patching up the being with what little he had in his first aid kit, he stood up to see the other being holding out its hand. Unsure what it wanted, he placed the kit in its hand and offered it a smile. The entity then looked over it before nodding.

[00:05:23] George figured it wanted to take it in case it needed it again. It then made the motion for thank you in sign language before leading him back to the front of the ship.

[00:05:34] Waiting until it had lowered the skin, he stepped off and smiled up at the being as it closed the door. Returning to his post, he found that only a few minutes had passed since the craft had arrived, instead of the hour that he thought he had been aboard.

[00:05:49] Walking back to the guard shack where his partner was sleeping, he saw a Humvee pulling to a stop. Glancing over his shoulder, he breathed a sigh of relief to find the vessel was gone.

[00:06:00] Saluting the colonel as he stepped from the vehicle, he watched as the man walked over to where the craft had been and then looked around. He then left without saying anything to George. The next morning at 0800, George was called into the base commander's office.

[00:06:17] The man told him to sit before pouring George a cup of coffee. He drank it out of kindness, though he preferred tea. The commander cut right to the chase, asking George what he had seen that night.

[00:06:29] George knew that soldiers weren't allowed to talk about such sightings or engagements, so he replied that he had seen nothing. The commander then said, damn right you didn't, and had him taken to the hospital for a routine physical exam.

[00:06:44] Once they were satisfied with whatever they were or weren't looking for, they sent him back to his duties, where he kept his head down and told no one else about what had happened. Later that day, he had heard some of the other soldiers talking about failed equipment around

[00:06:59] three that morning, some going as far to say that the weapons had all been taken offline. That was cause for panic, as there are big guns, as George put it, that could cause great destruction if they were fired.

[00:07:14] Two weeks later, George was sent to Alaska, where he's been for the last several months. It was only Friday last week that he managed to send this from his phone, as he wanted to share his encounter.

[00:07:26] He's curious if there are others out there that listen to your show that might have had a similar encounter with entities like these, as he'd never imagined something like this could have ever happened to him.

[00:07:58] Our next experience comes to us from Chris, and Chris' story is called Lights in the Sky Chris says, Hi Nick. Me and my wife were outside looking at the stars. We live out in Payton, Colorado, and it's in the country.

[00:08:15] All of a sudden we saw a stream of lights going across the sky. It looked like a white train of lights in the sky. It went from one side of the sky, over our heads, and then just disappeared once it got over our heads.

[00:08:28] My wife and I saw it on April 21st at 2122 hours. Thanks for the show. That's awesome. Our next experience comes to us from Muffy, and Muffy's story is called Programmed by Aliens Muffy says, Greetings Nick.

[00:08:51] I listened to your show halfway to Texas, all the way from Virginia, and then all the way back home to Virginia. I've been told I was a witch by many people throughout my life, even by my own grandmother when I was only three years old.

[00:09:06] I think it's just a name for people who are in tune with certain abilities. I don't delve too deep, but once I did. Kind of. When I lived on a beach, my then-wife and I would lie out on the sand and watch shadow

[00:09:20] ships float across the bay at two, sometimes three AM. That's what my ex-wife called the cloaking UFOs. Shadow ships. One day I came up with an idea to scream at the shadow ships at three-something in the AM.

[00:09:36] I figured that I lived on a beach and it's super quiet, so maybe if I screamed loud enough, they'd help me. I screamed and even got emotional, yelling, Please! I need to get a clean sound so I can record my own music. Please help me!

[00:09:52] You see, I make music, and I couldn't find any information on the hardware for my new home studio, and online videos weren't as common then. After I went out and did my beach thing, I felt silly at first, but I later felt accomplished.

[00:10:07] I went straight to bed with quartz crystals on my body to amplify my intentions. I don't know how exactly crystals work, but I've used them my own way since I was three years old.

[00:10:18] The next morning, I woke up, removed the stones that hadn't fallen off of me, and I got out of bed. I did a 180 and then turned halfway around to put on my slippers, and that's when I felt like something was in my bedroom, standing behind me.

[00:10:33] Then I heard that grinding scrape squeal behind me, like the one you've played on your podcast that's a high-pitched, screeching type of frequency. It made me feel tingly in my body, but I knew that I wasn't in danger, so I said,

[00:10:48] Oh, okay, remembering how I yelled at the sky a night or so before. I grew nauseous after about 40 seconds of hearing the sound, and I asked it to chill out because I was going to throw up. It stopped instantly, and I was laughing in disbelief.

[00:11:04] I then called my ex-wife and told her. She asked me if I was half asleep, and I told her that I was standing and putting on slippers. She had witnessed things in the years of us being together, and she trusted me.

[00:11:17] I then plugged in my equipment, and it felt automated. I made some adjustments, and I spoke into the microphone. It sounded beautiful. I ran down to the beach and thanked the sky. Before that morning, I had always had some issues with my recording sessions, but since

[00:11:34] then, I've known how to use my recording hardware with no training. It wasn't like a crazy genius upload, but I think I was programmed. I think some extraterrestrials are helping. It's just one of my many asking-things-for-stuff adventures.

[00:13:24] In episode 267, you shared a story from Jordan about a triangle of lights that they saw floating in the sky about four or five years ago. I would like to take a moment to corroborate his story. I'm from a town in Kansas about an hour drive southwest from Leavenworth.

[00:13:41] I too have had a similar experience in that same time frame. It was at night and I was letting my dog in from outside when I saw it. There were three lights that created a triangle shape, and it was hovering in the sky.

[00:13:55] It seemed to hover over my house without making a sound for about 20 seconds when I went to go and get my parents. But when we returned, it was gone. I've been a long-time listener, and I enjoy your podcast. Keep up the great work.

[00:14:14] Our next experience comes to us from Colby. And Colby's story is called... Visitation from Extraterrestrials. Colby says, Hey Nick, I have listened to your show for a few months now, and I think you're doing a fantastic job keeping my mind distracted from all the craziness in the world.

[00:14:33] Also, this is the first thing I have ever submitted, so let's get into why I'm here. A few nights back on the 3rd of May, me and my wife were getting our bedtime ritual taken

[00:14:44] care of, starting with turning out the lights, turning the AC off, and ending with my finishing up some bedtime reading. I then turned out the light next to me on my bed stand. I am a very tidy person, and everything has its place on my nightstand.

[00:14:59] The only thing I ever leave next to me are my book, phone, glasses, some amethyst, and a flashlight. Every night I put my glasses on my book and turned the light off. However, this night was different.

[00:15:15] At 2.04 my wife's phone goes off with a loud vibration and music playing full blast as if she had an alarm set for that time, but no alarm was set. We instantly shot up in bed and exchanged glances at each other, and as I lay back down,

[00:15:30] I noticed that my light on my nightstand was still on. This light has a pull chain that is not easy to pull, and not only was my light on, but my book was across the room, and its bookmark was still on my nightstand.

[00:15:44] As I got out of bed, I also noticed that the furnace is now on, and again that's strange because every night I go around and make sure that everything is turned off. However, this night was different.

[00:15:57] I then walked out into the hall to find all of our lights are now on, and our furnace was set to 80. After I get everything shut down for what I guess is the second time for the night, something just felt out of place.

[00:16:11] It wasn't spooky, although it's not uncommon for me to wake up at 3am, but 2am is strange for me. As I shut my eyes, I drift back to sleep without any difficulty.

[00:16:24] Now I do suffer from sleep paralysis from time to time, and I'm very aware of how my body feels stuck and uncontrollable, even though there is no movement. So as I'm sleeping, my subconscious body still feels like it's restless, and I can feel it

[00:16:39] moving around as if I'm tossing and turning. That morning we woke up as if nothing ever happened, and as me and my wife talk about the events from last night, we couldn't actually recall falling asleep in the first place,

[00:16:52] and we usually talk to each other before dozing off. After listening to other people's stories about being visited by aliens, we realized that we had a lot of similar experiences, such as electronic devices and missing time. That's all I really have as far as extraterrestrials go.

[00:17:11] Thanks for letting me submit, and keep up the good work. Colby Our next experience comes to us from Sean, and Sean's story is called UFO Over Southern Maryland. Sean says, Good evening Nick and listeners.

[00:17:33] I am from Southern Maryland, a tri-county area making up the western peninsula of Maryland consisting of St. Mary's, Charles, and Calvert County. St. Mary's is home to the Petugent Naval Air Station, a military base with many layers of

[00:17:48] security, which employ all the most notorious contractors such as Rathion, Lockheed Martin, C-3, etc. There they develop the most cutting edge technologies in modern warfare. The base is under armed guard surveillance at all times, but within the base are even

[00:18:06] more secure areas, sectioned off with razor wire, watchtowers, and more elite security personnel. I used to deliver pizza years ago, and one night I delivered to a secure facility on this base. Even though I was obviously invited, upon arrival I was immediately stopped at the fence line.

[00:18:26] At least four automatic weapons were drawn on me by armored guards, and a giant blinding searchlight beaming into my windshield. There are without a doubt top secret projects being developed down here. To what end though is hard to say.

[00:18:41] There isn't much in the way of specific rumors, as the projects are highly compartmentalized, and the handsomely paid contractors know that even the slightest breach in security would cost them their jobs, if not prosecution. Until recently, I had never seen anything that would stimulate much mystery.

[00:19:00] I am used to seeing various aircraft on patrol and testing equipment. It's nothing to see a jet fly by just over the treetops or breaking the sound barrier high in the atmosphere. However, on November 3rd of 2021, I saw something which I could not explain.

[00:19:18] It was about 3am, and I was driving northwest on Route 5 to work through St. Mary's County. The night was clear with minimal traffic and nothing out of the ordinary. I was of course a bit tired, but clear-headed, prepared to take on another long day of work.

[00:19:36] Then all of a sudden, I saw it. A light, brighter than anything I've ever seen in the sky before, flying from south to north. There was no trail, no color, and no sound. Only one consistent, extraordinarily bright point of white light that cleared from one

[00:19:53] end of the horizon to the other, in about one second flat. There was no way to judge altitude or size, but the path was linear, not downward as you would expect from a shooting star.

[00:20:06] This in and of itself was puzzling, but I simply made note and continued on to work as there wasn't much to do about it. But here is where the story gets a bit more interesting. Exactly one week later, on November 10th of 2021, I saw it again.

[00:20:23] Right around 3am, around the same area on Route 5, again headed in a linear trajectory from south to north. It appeared to be the same bright white light clearing the horizon in an instant. I couldn't believe it. The similarity was undeniable.

[00:20:39] So I made note and continued on my way to work with my interest now truly provoked. What's even more astounding is exactly one week from that, on November 17th, 2021, it made yet another appearance. Precisely as before, the object shot from south to north at an astronomical speed at

[00:20:58] 3am around the same stretch of highway. The only difference this time was heavy cloud cover. You couldn't see the moon or a single star if you stood still, straining. This indicated that at least this time, the altitude was below cloud level, positively

[00:21:15] ruling out a shooting star for even the most staunch skeptic. There is no way a meteor could maintain a linear course at that speed and at that altitude. I again made note of it, but this would be all of the information I could glean from

[00:21:30] its flight pattern, as it would be the last time I saw the object. I can only guess that this was a project of the Naval Air Station, but its flight characteristics are unlike any aircraft I know of, except perhaps a missile of some sort.

[00:21:45] That raises more questions though. How was it silent despite supersonic speed? Why attach a light? Or could a thruster rocket appear clear white? Why jeopardize a civilian population when a missile test could easily be performed over water? And why such low altitude?

[00:22:04] I doubt we will ever get answers to these questions, but it is better to remain curious than to become complacent. Thank you for your time. Sean Our next encounter comes to us from Anonymous. And Anonymous's story is called... UFO in Mexico. My experience is called UFO in Mexico.

[00:22:33] I do not wish to use my name. Thank you. In the late 90s, I was in my late teens. I lived with my father in Mexico in a beach town, very known and touristy area.

[00:22:52] Right across the shore from us, it's an island that is also very touristy and that has an international airport. We lived very close to the beach. One night I was sitting there at around 8 or 9 p.m. sitting outside my balcony.

[00:23:10] I could see the lights from the island and I noticed the light flying over the island, but I didn't really think much of it because they have an international airport, like I said before. But after a few seconds, that light turned and started coming in my direction.

[00:23:35] And I still didn't think anything about that because I thought it was maybe a plane. But as it got closer to me in just a matter of seconds, mind you, this island is a few miles away from the shore. I noticed that this was no airplane.

[00:23:56] Instead, this was a disc-shaped object with lights spinning very fast. I was sitting down. I stood up. I was looking at it for a couple of seconds. It was approaching me and it stood spinning above me about 50 to 60 feet in the air.

[00:24:22] At that moment, I thought that I should go and get my father and let him know what was happening. The moment that I thought that, this disc took off at an incredible speed. There were a few clouds in the sky and I remember that it just went, poof!

[00:24:43] I know what I saw. This was no plane. This was a large disc object with lights like a UFO spinning in the sky. I will send some other stories later, but this is all I got for now. This was one of my first once-seen UFOs. Thank you. Bye.
