No Man's Land: Campsite Creatures, Beast in a Field & Entity on the Hill | 319

[00:00:00] Tonight, I'll be talking about an encounter involving a large black humanoid near the witness's home, a terrifying report of multiple creatures that surround a camper in the Pacific Northwest, and an astonishing case where multiple people have a close encounter with a juvenile Bigfoot.

[00:00:28] These experiences and several others are coming up on this edition of No Man's Land. Thank you for joining me, and welcome as always. I'm your host, Nic Ryan. Before I start tonight's show, I'd like to recognize all of my amazing listeners. I greatly appreciate your continued support.

[00:01:07] Now let's begin with our first experience of the night, which comes to us from Johanna. And Johanna's experience is called, Creature Sightings. Johanna says, Hello Nic, I wanted to thank you for reading my experience.

[00:01:25] It was kind of strange and cool to hear someone other than me tell my story. This time I wanted to tell you about some strange encounters that I've had. Me and my brother had a strange encounter in the woods just 100 meters from our house,

[00:01:40] the very same house I now own and live in. I was around 8 years old, and my brother was 10 years old. We got permission from our parents to go and pick mushrooms on our own for the very first time.

[00:01:53] We brought our book about mushrooms so that we would know which ones were safe to eat, and which ones weren't. Of course, we were not allowed to go anywhere off the road, but luckily there were often many on the side of the road.

[00:02:06] We were about 100 meters from our home and picking the typical Swedish favorite mushroom, the yellow chanterelle. We had gathered quite a bunch of them in a bucket, when my brother had looked up into the forest and was quietly trying to get my attention.

[00:02:20] When I looked up I saw a huge male moose in the woods about 8 meters away from us. For those who don't know, moose can be very aggressive and dangerous, and they sometimes

[00:02:30] attack humans, so as kids our parents taught us to climb a tree if we ever saw one. However, on that day, we turned around and ran as fast as we could. Now you may think that this is nothing special, just two kids running into some wildlife.

[00:02:46] But when we came home and barged in the door, locking it behind us, our parents asked what was going on. This is when my brother said, We saw a hunter in the woods, so we ran home. I looked at him in confusion and said,

[00:03:01] No, it was a moose, not a hunter. We then began to argue about it when our parents stopped us and calmed us down. You see, this memory had stuck with me my entire life. How could we have seen different things in the exact same spot?

[00:03:17] When I brought up this memory to my brother some years later, he had no memory of it. He said that I must have dreamt it, but I'm so sure that it happened. What do you think? My next two encounters, I think, are connected.

[00:03:33] The first one was in November, and it was still light out. The time was about 1300 hours, or 1 in the afternoon. Me and my spouse had been away to run some errands, when we decided to just have a stay at home evening.

[00:03:47] We were on our way home, and literally in our own driveway, about 7 meters from the house. This is when I look to my right, where there is a big old oak, a huge boulder, and then a hill with lots of smaller trees packed together.

[00:04:01] In Sweden, we call them sli. These trees are almost in a straight line, going down the hill to the left. So as I looked in that direction, I saw something weird. It looked like a tall black bipedal creature with long arms reaching to its knees.

[00:04:18] It was just standing there looking at us, but it seemed to be caught off guard because as soon as I saw it, it bent down to all fours, and then it darted away behind the hill and trees. It almost faded away.

[00:04:32] My only reaction was to stare and say, what? My spouse, who was driving, asked, what, what is it? I tried to look in the same direction again and again to see if I could debunk it, but

[00:04:44] then I said, I could swear I just saw some weird large black creature there, but then it took off. My spouse is also a fan of all paranormal things, and he got excited and asked lots of questions.

[00:04:57] We went inside because it was kind of creepy to see something like that in daylight. However, the days passed and we did not think much of it. On the 24th of December 2022, which is when we Swedes celebrate Christmas, my spouse actually saw something too.

[00:05:15] He wanted me to share his story as well, and for this, we can call him Jay. Jay had been at his mom's place to celebrate Christmas with his family in a city not far from home. I was at home with my family where we celebrated Christmas.

[00:05:31] So Jay headed home at around 1800 or 6 in the afternoon, and he reached home and parked his car in the driveway. Our driveway is flat. If you park your car without the handbrake, it won't go anywhere, which is what Jay did.

[00:05:46] He left one gear in, which makes the car stay in one place. He has parked his car that way for a year now. Jay parked as he always does and began to carry presents he had gotten from his family inside.

[00:06:00] As he got inside, Jay told me that he had to go and get two more bags in the car, so we left the front door open. Jay then went back outside to get the second bag from the car when he saw something in

[00:06:11] the light of our garage, about 9 meters away from the house. It's situated further back on the property behind and to the right of the house. The light on the outside of the garage is lit when it's dark outside.

[00:06:25] In the light, all the way over there, Jay saw what looked like a black figure passing by at a very high speed. It was taller than the garage door, which is about 2.1 meters tall, which is just under 7 feet.

[00:06:39] Jay stopped to see if he could see it again, but when he couldn't see the thing again, he thought that it was just his imagination playing tricks. He then went inside with the second bag and then went back outside to get the last bag

[00:06:52] from the car, and this was when he saw his car moving backwards toward the road. He ran out to it, jumped in, and then put it back in park, and as he looked around, he saw that the gear was no longer in first. It was now in neutral.

[00:07:08] He put the first gear back in, took the last bag, and then went inside. The car was luckily still in our driveway, and when Jay got inside, he locked the door and then asked, Is the second entrance facing the garage locked? I said, No, I don't think so.

[00:07:24] Why? Jay then went and locked the door before he replied with an excuse as to why he wanted to lock it. We sat on the sofa talking and opening the last Christmas presents before he told me what actually happened outside with the figure. And the car.

[00:07:40] Jay said, I don't want to scare you, but that's what happened, and that's why I wanted to lock the door. I looked at him confused, trying to come up with a solution to what happened. So I asked, Can't the gear just accidentally fall back to neutral?

[00:07:55] And Jay responded, It can, but that has never happened in the three years that I've owned it. We ended up deciding that that must have been what had happened, and the figure could have just been snow or something.

[00:08:06] However, maybe the figure that Jay saw was the same one that I saw a month earlier. Jay wants to add that his car has never slipped out of gear after that incident, and also

[00:08:18] wants to reiterate that our driveway is flat and level, which means that the car should not have been moving, even if he had left it in neutral without the parking brake applied. So we have ruled out that by now. What do you think?

[00:09:03] When it comes to the moose, to me it was pretty obvious what it was, but the fact that my brother saw something entirely different makes me wonder if we saw a shapeshifter, or if there just happened to be a moose and a hunter in the same spot.

[00:09:43] into farmers' fields alone, saying that there would be a terrible fate to small children who played in the fields, unsupervised. Me and my siblings always thought that she was just saying this to keep us out of trouble,

[00:09:56] but it wasn't until I was eleven that I realized what she truly meant. I had been with some friends on the outskirts of a field near the end of fall. I live in Canada, so the snow was there, but it wasn't too tall.

[00:10:10] However, the grass was taller than me, which was a good five or six feet. My friend who I'll call Hannah wanted to play hide-and-seek in the tall grass. This was a foolish mistake.

[00:10:22] However, we agreed and started playing, and I ran and hid on the outskirts and tried to stay quiet. We then heard a scream coming from the seeker, and we ran to make sure that they were okay.

[00:10:34] There was something a little ways off from us, although we couldn't see it very well. All that we could see was that this thing attacked a coyote, so we ran.

[00:10:44] To be clear, the wildlife in the area is really friendly to the point that I can pet a deer without it attacking me, so the coyote would probably not have hurt us. Later I heard my mom talking about a bunch of country dogs being found dead.

[00:10:58] I never did tell anybody about this out of fear that I would get in trouble, but after the incident, I never did go back into the farmer's fields again. I tried to contact Bella to get more details regarding what exactly they were able to see

[00:11:13] in the field and how they knew that it attacked a coyote, but I have yet to get a response. I'll post an update on a future episode when I hear back from Bella. This next experience comes to us from Mac, and Mac's experience is called Pacific Northwest Encounter.

[00:11:37] Mac says, Howdy Nick. Let me start at the beginning. I moved to the Pacific Northwest years ago from the south for work. The deep woods up here keep me consistently impressed with its views, so I'm always camping or hiking.

[00:11:54] Since moving up here, I have had two unexplainable encounters. I'll start with one, and if you're interested, I'll share the other. The first one took place on a camping trip on a lake near a large military base.

[00:12:08] I was getting ready to sleep in my hammock when a deep bellowing scream came from the opposite end of the lake. This was a small body of water, so it could be circled very quickly.

[00:12:19] Though familiar with many animal calls, I brushed off this unknown cry as another animal, and I shouted back like an idiot. A few minutes later, it called out again, but this time it was closer.

[00:12:33] I was worried that I had offended a territorial animal, and it was now coming to investigate. However, since it was now closer, it was clear that this was no animal that I've ever heard. No bobcat, no elk, no bear. Nothing.

[00:12:49] I'll say that I am a believer of the strange, and coming to the Pacific Northwest, I already had the image of Bigfoot in my mind. Anyway, I sat silent in my hammock, and then the call came closer, maybe halfway around the lake now.

[00:13:05] I took a chance and threw the rest of my firewood on the fire to keep it bright, and I grabbed my handgun from my bag. I laid in my hammock, now frozen. I guess you never really know how you'll react to the unknown until it's creeping toward

[00:13:20] you in the dark. As a half an hour passed, the call would sound, and it was closer each time. The only other noises came from my campfire. After an hour, the noise was right on the edge of the firelight. I know that something was there.

[00:13:37] Then, suddenly, another call came from the opposite end of my camp, and just as close. There were two. The calls then died from a yelling to a strange vocalization that I can only compare to Mongolian.

[00:13:51] I know it's a far-reaching comparison, but hearing two creatures communicate in the dark right outside the light of my fire was absolutely petrifying. I was more concerned with making sure they didn't know I was there than eavesdropping on their deep chattering.

[00:14:06] I stayed awake all night, gun in hand, and slowly watching my fire die. The creatures moved at the perimeter of the clearing all through the night, but they never came closer. They disappeared around daybreak, and I took the opportunity to load my car. And bail.

[00:14:25] I'm sorry there's no big reveal or gun battle for my life. I think they were just curious as to who dared call back. I won't be doing that again. Thanks for reading, and I love the show. Mac.

[00:15:46] Our next experience of the night comes to us from Dakota, and Dakota's experience is called Bigfoot Friend. Dakota says, Hello! I discovered your podcast when I was looking for something to listen to when I clean and I got hooked.

[00:16:03] I'm almost caught up on all the episodes and finally decided to share. During my listen I have yet to find someone who shares my gift. My gift is that I tend to attract the paranormal, magical, and cryptid, but on a heavy, almost

[00:16:18] friendly and magnetic nature, which is how I got roped into my high school's ghost adventure group. During my high school years, around the time I was 16-19, my friends and I used to go to upstate New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey to abandon locations, and either explore or

[00:16:36] talk to spirits. I always went along because of my gift, and I also loved that group a lot. This story takes place during August of 2017. My friends and I headed upstate toward Syracuse, trying to find any buildings we could hit.

[00:16:53] We ended up at some backwoods hilly area when we made the wrong turn, and decided to stop to rest and find where exactly we were. There was six of us in the group, four guys including me, and two girls.

[00:17:08] Me and one of the girls stepped out to get water from the back of the trunk of my friend's car and decided to lean and enjoy the view. As we are standing there drinking and looking around, my friend spots something very high

[00:17:20] up on one of the hills that we drove by. She tells me to look, and we both confirm that we do see whatever this is. Whatever that thing was, it was getting closer.

[00:17:32] My friend then calls for the rest of us to show them the black dot on the hill, and we all confirm that we see it. As it drew closer, we were able to finally make out what it was. It wasn't a human.

[00:17:46] It was tall, large, and hairy, almost like a bear, but it was standing on its hind legs. It was a good forty feet away from us before it stopped, and we stared at it. It was a young Bigfoot, and by then my other friend began to record.

[00:18:04] Bigfoot are somewhat prevalent in the area as the woods are heavy, especially upstate, so it wasn't a surprise. Plus we have smelled or even heard them on several of our other explorations, but here is a Bigfoot standing very, very close to us.

[00:18:19] We were both studying each other, but clearly not feeling threatened. My friend, let's call him Jay, was the eldest and the bravest of us all. He got in front of all of us, and before we knew it, he raised one of his fists above

[00:18:33] his head while looking at this young Bigfoot. To our surprise and amazement, after some time, the Bigfoot raised its fist up just like Jay did, both of them now standing and signaling to each other.

[00:18:47] They stood like this for maybe a minute before Jay told us to pile in the car, and that we needed to get home before the sun set. When we drove away, I looked back to find that the Bigfoot was now gone.

[00:19:01] I wish I was still friends with those people, as I would have done everything to get that tape, but alas, people drift apart. Thank you for enjoying my story. I have a lot more to share, both from those exploration days and my much, much younger days.

[00:19:19] Best wishes, Dakota Our next report comes to us from Olivia, and Olivia's experience is called Bigfoot Encounter Olivia says, My father has always taken an interest in cryptids, and it's something we've bonded over since I was a kid.

[00:19:40] I believe that much of this interest is a result of his own encounter years ago. My father and grandparents spent much of their time in the great outdoors. Whether it's fishing, mushroom hunting, or target practice, they're certainly familiar

[00:19:55] with the forests and lakes of the Midwest and parts of the South. They've had various encounters with wild animals such as bears, boars, snakes, and coyotes, so it's safe to say that they know their way around a forest.

[00:20:09] The one encounter that stuck with them, particularly my dad, was the story that took place in Arkansas in the 80s. My father and his family were spending an evening fishing the pond in a clearing near their house near the South Arkansas airport outside of El Dorado.

[00:20:26] This area of the country is very heavily forested with an abundance of wildlife, not to mention it's in close proximity to where the falc monster, aka swamp stalker, or the boggy creek monster legend took place, where an ape-like creature terrorized the locals.

[00:20:43] As they are fishing, they hear noises coming from the tree line, the sound of heavy tree limbs snapping and splintering. If you've ever been in a forest yourself, you'd know the difference in the sound of

[00:20:54] a small branch versus a small tree snapping, and possibly how much strength it takes to break a large tree limb. As they move closer to the tree line to see what was making all the commotion, they locked

[00:21:06] eyes with a creature that my dad describes as having a brownish-orange and black face that was similar in ways to an orangutan. It had a human-like shadow that was pretty big, but not the massive build they talk about on TV.

[00:21:20] However, it was still big enough to give your heart palpitations. My dad said that it looked back at my grandparents who were nearby on the pond. They only watched the thing for several seconds before returning to the house to grab guns.

[00:21:34] They went back to investigate, but couldn't find much due to the heavy and snake-infested brush. The one thing they're certain of is that it wasn't a bear. They had seen many before.

[00:21:46] None of the other animals native to that area had any resemblance to what they saw that day. Bigfoot My dad isn't scared of much, but what he saw that day still gives him nightmares.
