344: It’s Trying To Get In, Men In Black, Disappearing Child & Crawling Shadow

[00:00:41] This first encounter comes to us from Ruben, and Ruben's experience is called Unexplained Visitor. Ruben says, I love your podcast and I'm a believer in all things paranormal. I have one experience that I had in my childhood that cannot be explained.

[00:01:00] I post this because I'm hoping someone has experienced something like this before. I grew up in western Canada by the coast. In the early 1980s, when I was 6 or 7, I would often walk home with my older brother to and from school.

[00:01:17] We would walk by this open power line corridor. At the time, it was open to the public and had a noticeably worn trail going from the road right down the middle and disappearing off into the woods. On this particular day, it was overcast, but wasn't raining.

[00:01:33] I was walking home with my brother who was 2 years older than me, along with a friend of his who we can't recall the name of. Maybe he will hear this story and reach out with his own account.

[00:01:45] I can't remember a time when we ever stopped along the way as we were always anxious to get home. However, on this particular day, we stopped and stared at a teenager who was walking off

[00:01:55] in the distance with what appeared to be a younger sibling that was wearing a bright orange raincoat. They were walking casually out from the woods only to stop maybe 20 feet in the open.

[00:02:08] They then turned toward each other and the older teen knelt down to say some words to the younger child. Then after a moment, the older teenager stood up and took a few steps back.

[00:02:19] Then the child wearing the bright orange raincoat appeared to be on fire for a moment. And then he was fully engulfed. Then he was completely gone all in a matter of seconds.

[00:02:32] My first thoughts was that this was not a child and in fact had just been beamed away to a nearby cloaked ship. However, when we looked, we saw nothing in the sky. We all just stood there in shock.

[00:02:46] The teenager then slowly made his way back toward the woods, not in shock, but it was as if he had just said goodbye to a friend. To this day, we all recall the same event with the same details.

[00:03:01] I often return to the area where this happened and it hasn't changed much except there is now a large fence blocking access and there is a no trespassing sign. I know this could be a number of things, whether it be witchcraft, aliens or some other unexplained creature.

[00:03:19] It made no sense to me then and still makes no sense to me today. Hopefully posting it here will get me some answers. This next experience of the night comes to us from Cindy and Cindy's story is called UFO and Men in Black.

[00:03:41] My experience happened during the late 90s in rural Pennsylvania. My best friend and I were driving to my house one afternoon. The road there has several winding S-turns and every once in a while, someone unfamiliar with the area will miss a turn and drive straight into the field.

[00:03:59] As we made our way to my house, we saw an old man and a car in the field and assumed that he had just missed a turn, so we stopped to help. He was just standing there looking up at the sky.

[00:04:10] We approached him and then looked up to see what he was staring at and there was a triangle shaped UFO hovering above us. It had blue lights at every point and was rotating slowly, but there was no noise. It just silently rotated there in the sky.

[00:04:28] After a few minutes, it stopped. There was a bright flash and then it was gone. It didn't fly away. It just wasn't there anymore. I remember the three of us quietly returned to our cars, but no one said anything.

[00:04:42] It was like we were all in shock and trying to process what we just saw. It was at this point that I noticed it was now evening and the sun was setting in the sky.

[00:04:52] I don't think we were standing there for that long, so had it simply been later in the day than I realized, or did we experience a time lapse? At this point, we finished the drive to my house in silence and the only acknowledgement

[00:05:06] we made to each other was to ask each other if that really just happened. We all saw the same thing, so it was very real. About a week later, we were driving to the Coventry Mall. Anyone familiar with the area will know exactly where I'm talking about.

[00:05:23] There's an uphill on-ramp to get onto the highway, and there's barely a merge zone, so you really have to watch for traffic. I pulled onto the highway and noticed four black SUVs behind me. They were very close and driving aggressively.

[00:05:38] I thought I had accidentally cut them off, so I turned down the next ramp to go to the mall and all four SUVs followed us. I turned right and then they turned right. I turned left and they turned left.

[00:05:52] I told my best friend I thought that we were being followed, and she suggested that we drive to the back section of the lot. Here they were doing construction, so there was no real reason for anyone to drive over there.

[00:06:03] At this point, we kept driving, and they kept driving too. We were definitely being followed. In a bit of a panic, I pulled into a parking spot and we ducked down into our seats. Three of the SUVs hung back and waited, while one SUV followed us.

[00:06:21] There were two men in black suits, wearing sunglasses. They both stared at us as they slowly passed by in front of our car. We just stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity. Finally, they rejoined the other SUVs and left the parking lot.

[00:06:36] This is when I noticed that they all had blue municipal plates. Had I cut them off and they decided to scare us to teach us a lesson, or was this somehow connected to the UFO sighting the week before?

[00:06:50] I never saw either of them again, and to this day I wonder if I saw some secret government project or perhaps something else. I suppose I will never know. This next experience comes to us from Robert, and Robert's story is called Ghost or Shadow Entity Robert says

[00:07:15] I haven't told many people about my encounter and thought your show would be the best place to share it, since you have an understanding audience. Around the second week of January this year, I was using a weight room in a school that I work at.

[00:07:30] We were on vacation at that time and I would arrive at night and work out, since I have access and have the entire place to myself. As I was placing a large plate onto a bar on a squat rack, I saw a figure come in through

[00:07:43] the doorway I was facing. It was maneuvering between the exercise machines in a crouched or tackling position. It was moving quickly and closing in on me fast. I couldn't make out any detail and saw only a solid black figure.

[00:07:59] As it approached the other side of the rack I was at, I jumped away, pushing off the metal plate in front of me trying to give myself distance from what I thought was a person trying to attack me. In that instant, it vanished.

[00:08:13] As my heart was pounding, I looked around and saw no one. I didn't know what it was I had seen or what its intentions were, but I did continue using that gym area without seeing anything ever again.

[00:08:26] A little background about the place is that it's known to be haunted and everyone who has worked there for a while has stories. So far, I've only had minor experiences. I worked alone at night while the campus was closed.

[00:08:40] I'd see shadows moving out of the corner of my eye, sounds of doors slamming, unexplainable pounding noises, lights and equipment going on and off randomly, and uncomfortable feelings in certain areas. I had two daytime workers tell me that they had heard a child's voice call out, Papa! Papa!

[00:09:01] right next to them in a garage area of the school when no one else was around and children couldn't enter. They were both frightened by it and believed what they had heard. I had also talked to a Cuban woman who claimed to be psychic.

[00:09:15] She told me of spirits that she would see in certain rooms in different buildings, and she warned me not to give them the attention that they wanted and that they were trapped or lost. She mentioned that one spirit was a young boy.

[00:09:30] I don't know the history of this area except it was a structure since 1970. And before that, it was open desert. Our next experience comes to us from Brittany, and Brittany's experience is called Possible Dogman

[00:09:49] Hey Nick, just like so many of your other listeners, I too would like to tell you that I enjoy listening to your podcast, and thank you for giving us a safe place to talk about our paranormal experiences.

[00:10:03] I heard a story submitted to you while binge-listening to your podcast that reminded me of an incident that I had when I was in my early teens. I even sent a link to that particular story to my mother and sister, who agreed that it

[00:10:15] sounded similar to our story. This one episode featured the Dogman. A little backstory about me, I have always loved and believed in the paranormal. I've had too many experiences not to believe that supernatural beings are real.

[00:10:32] I live in North Alabama, which as you probably know is the Appalachian region. This is widely known to be a hotspot for cryptids, ghosts, and other scary creatures. This story takes place approximately 14 or 15 years ago. I'm sorry, but I can't remember the exact year.

[00:10:50] At the time, I was 13 or 14, and both my mother and my former stepfather worked late shifts. My mother usually got home around 12 or 1am, and then my stepfather would go to work around 11pm, so there were usually a couple of hours where my sister and I were alone.

[00:11:08] On this particular night, my mother had arrived home from her job at around 1230am or so, and she allowed my sister and I to sleep with her. She had only been home for about 15 minutes, and we were lying in bed talking when we began

[00:11:22] to hear a woman screaming in the distance. The scream was like she was being murdered. We looked outside the window, but we couldn't see anything, and after a few minutes of hearing the screaming and wondering if we should call the police, we decided to just lie down again,

[00:11:38] figuring that the sound could have been an animal yelling at the nearby farm that was just behind our home. We had only been lying down again for maybe two minutes when the French doors in our living room began to shake like someone was attempting to break into them.

[00:11:54] There was also this awful sound of some type of creature roaring, for lack of a better term. Now, I should also probably mention that these French doors were approximately 8 to 10 feet off the ground.

[00:12:06] We lived in a double wide, and the door handles were not able to be easily reached by even a grown man, at least not without some sort of step or ladder. Looking out the bedroom window into the direction of the doors, we were not able to see anything,

[00:12:21] so we decided to go into the living room and see if we could see anything from there. However, even though it sounded like the doors were going to be busted down at any minute, the doors were not moving at all on our side. Strange, right?

[00:12:35] I mean, how does that even happen? Needless to say, we were terrified and dashed back into my mother's room and locked ourselves back in. She then called my stepfather and begged him to come home, but he couldn't leave right

[00:12:47] then and told her to remain in the bedroom with the door locked. The rattling of the doors and screeching continued for another 10 minutes before my mom finally decided to turn on her car alarm. The moment the car alarm started blaring, the sound stopped, and all was silent once

[00:13:05] again. Following that night, we would intermittently hear the distance screaming again, but we never had any other form of attack or whatever that was happen again. Like I said earlier, we have had numerous other experiences, but this one was probably one of the most terrifying.

[00:13:27] This next experience comes to us from DM, and DM's story is called Animal Instincts. Hello! I have only recently found your podcast and am binge listening each day to and from work. I have something I would like to share and thought your listeners who are dog lovers

[00:13:46] may find this interesting. My ex-husband was an alcoholic and a heavy smoker. This combination had a very unique odor, and I could smell him way before hearing or seeing him. He recently passed away, and it was two days after they pronounced him dead.

[00:14:05] I was at home watching TV with my dog Bo curled up beside me. All of a sudden, Bo sat straight up with his hackles up and made the most terrible growl I've ever heard while staring straight toward our kitchen.

[00:14:17] My first thought was one of our other dogs had startled him awake, and there was about to be a dog fight I would need to break up. But then I smelled it. That odor that always followed my ex coming from the direction where Bo was looking.

[00:14:32] I watched Bo, and it was like he was looking right at something, and it was moving as Bo was tracking it. That's when I got angry, and Bo's head paused as I called out my ex's name, and I told him

[00:14:44] that he wasn't welcome in my home or our children's home. I then vented and said things that I wanted to say for years. At the end, I said to never come back and visit me, our children, and our grandchildren should

[00:14:57] we have them, and I told him that he lost that privilege. This whole time I was venting, Bo kept staring at the same spot, and doing a low, warning growl. As fast as it happened, it was over.

[00:15:12] The smell was gone, and it was like a switch was turned off with Bo. He snapped out of his protective stance, and laid back down beside me, and fell asleep. Time marched on, and I had to say goodbye to Bo. He didn't want to leave.

[00:15:27] I had to whisper in his ear that he didn't have to protect me anymore, and that he was a good boy. The vet looked up at me at that instant, and told me that he was gone.

[00:15:39] She believed that he was fighting to stay, as the procedure shouldn't have taken as long as it did. I don't know if I believe in the paranormal or not, but I do know one thing. I trust my dogs, and their instincts.
