[00:00:34] and Lee's experience is called My Doppelganger. Lee says,

[00:00:40] I'm a new listener to your podcast and have enjoyed each episode. I was hesitant to bring up

[00:00:45] these experiences because I understand that one should never see their own doppelganger.

[00:00:51] I am in my 30s now but I'm well aware that there is a doppelganger of me that seems to follow me

[00:00:56] wherever I go. It started in middle school where kids would tell me that they saw me in a store

[00:01:01] or doing extra-curricular activities. My mom didn't approve of me going by myself anywhere at that

[00:01:07] age, so I certainly wasn't at a store and the only activity I did was track but the activities

[00:01:13] that I was found participating in were cooking, music and other classes. I always thought to myself,

[00:01:21] well, whoever she is, at least she's making it easy for me to talk to people. But instead of

[00:01:26] people continuing to talk to me, they actually avoided me because they thought that I was fooling

[00:01:31] around. In high school, My Doppelganger was seen by teachers on the days I wasn't at school.

[00:01:37] There were two classes that said on my report cards that I was present in attendance and participating.

[00:01:43] I asked my teacher if this was an ongoing joke since kids from my middle school were also at my

[00:01:47] high school, but my teacher explained that I had actually been there, raised my hand for attendance,

[00:01:53] and that I did my work as I normally did. In my 20s, I moved to Minnesota and had several

[00:02:00] friends in different states that I stayed in contact with on the internet. They too had said that

[00:02:05] they had seen me waiting on a train with a bag, and when they called out to me to see what I was doing

[00:02:10] in their state, the girl simply looked at them and then proceeded to board the train. They were

[00:02:16] confused as to why I would be in their state and not come to see them. The most recent event

[00:02:22] occurred with one of my new health workers coming to visit me and help me with some forms.

[00:02:27] We had never met, but the day that he arrived, I let him through the door, and he stopped and said,

[00:02:32] I've seen you, we've met haven't we? You look so familiar. I just stood there, so used to this

[00:02:38] by now, and I said, you must have seen My Doppelganger, huh? And this is when he went quiet.

[00:02:45] He then came inside and was trying so hard to figure out where he had met me. He then asked me,

[00:02:51] you go to music festivals, right? Or you're involved in the music industry? Or groups?

[00:02:56] I shook my head and said no, I would be way too overwhelmed. I do like music, but no, I don't go

[00:03:03] to large events. Throughout the entire meeting, he continued to have a puzzled look on his face,

[00:03:08] and he had told me that we had spoken before and that we had hit it off. Apparently she sounded

[00:03:13] just like me as well. At the end of the visit, I joked and said, now we've met, but if we meet anywhere

[00:03:20] else, be sure to say hi. Thank you for reading my Doppelganger story. I've never met her. I've

[00:03:28] always wanted to despite the warnings because it seems like she always stays close by, but make sure

[00:03:34] we don't cross. Whoever she is, I hope she's living a happy life.

[00:03:42] Now this next experience of the night also comes from Lee and this is what they had to say.

[00:03:48] Hello Nick and fellow listeners, I wanted to open up a little bit more. I have a lot of experiences,

[00:03:54] but I'm just generally not an open book kind of person. I'll share a few more stories and if you

[00:04:00] want to know more, please ask. Story 1 A detail I did not talk about in my Doppelganger story is that

[00:04:07] I have always been told that my mind and spirit are way too open. I often can tell the future very

[00:04:13] easily and describe features and where and what someone is doing without me being there. Sometimes

[00:04:19] the information gets so loud I have to ask the person to please take care of the noise. In one case,

[00:04:25] I could hear running around and it turned out to be my friend who lives in New Mexico and had a

[00:04:30] niece who was running through the house. So that's me, just a splendidly open-minded girl who can't

[00:04:37] handle spiritual or psychic information as it's handed to her. So onto my story. It was the summer

[00:04:44] of 2015 in Minnesota and my then husband and I went to bed. That night I had a dream that I was

[00:04:51] waiting on a bench for someone. I felt fidgety and uncomfortable on the bench. I decided to go

[00:04:57] into the restaurant that was behind me and was greeted by a waiter who asked if I wanted to sit

[00:05:01] down. I initially said, no, I'm waiting for someone. After I waited for some minutes and this

[00:05:08] person didn't show up, I decided to take a seat and was looking around. Everyone there seemed

[00:05:14] to know me. They were smiling and saying, hi Michelle. I was confused and I told the people in my dream

[00:05:20] my name isn't Michelle, but the people kept calling me that. Finally I'd had enough and the person

[00:05:27] I was waiting for also showed up. He drove up but would not come in the restaurant. I then got up

[00:05:33] and left the restaurant and I got into his car. I remember not being able to make out his face

[00:05:38] but being so sad, so powerless. I remember him telling us that we were going to go somewhere special

[00:05:45] but I felt dread instead. I remember in the dream saying goodbye to my daughter, sisters and my

[00:05:51] niece. I was supposed to be home by now to see them come home from school. I knew I would not make

[00:05:57] it home and was saying tearful goodbyes in my heart. When I woke up I was so confused and my husband

[00:06:05] said that I kept saying the name Michelle. Michelle. A couple days later it was a lovely summer day

[00:06:12] and we decided to go out and find a trail to walk. I remember we decided to take some paths we hadn't

[00:06:17] taken before. During the walk my husband stopped and went dead silent. I was busy looking at the flowers

[00:06:24] and foliage when all of a sudden he said, honey look I turned around thinking that he had seen a deer

[00:06:32] and didn't want to scare it but in front of him was a bridge continuing the path.

[00:06:38] On the bridge was stapled a missing person's paper. A woman in Minnesota had gone missing.

[00:06:43] She was watching the kids after work and had not returned home. Her name was Michelle.

[00:06:50] I screamed and started crying. I understood right then and there that Michelle was showing me her

[00:06:55] last few hours here on earth. I told Michelle thank you for using me as a way to express her agony

[00:07:01] and love for her girls and that I hoped that she was okay. However in my heart I knew full well

[00:07:08] that she wasn't alive anymore. I hated thinking that way but I did not believe a living person

[00:07:14] could inhabit me the way that she did within my dream. Later we came home in silence and a week later

[00:07:21] Michelle's body was found in a ditch. The man she had gotten in the car with drove her a couple hours

[00:07:27] away from her house and murdered her. He was her boyfriend.

[00:07:33] This is my second story. This takes place in 2016 in Minnesota. I was in my bedroom with my cats

[00:07:41] browsing my phone with the light off. I think it was about 8 p.m. because I was browsing funny memes

[00:07:46] before going to sleep. On my bed was my cat Dante. Dante arose from his sleep and started

[00:07:53] staring at my bookcase. I shown my light at the bookcase and didn't see anything. Dante then

[00:07:58] stepped at the end of the bed and tried to reach out to something with his paw. I just laughed and

[00:08:03] said, what are you doing you old man? Go to sleep. Suddenly I heard the sound of my music box

[00:08:10] start winding up. Life rose. I didn't dare shine my light on it and I waited to see if somehow

[00:08:16] it was unwinding from someone else in the apartment winding it up. I wasn't sure why it would be

[00:08:22] unwinding suddenly but I figured that this had to be the case. The music box then went silent

[00:08:28] and I blew a deep breath out and I went back to my memes. Suddenly the music box now started winding

[00:08:35] up. I couldn't speak. I was horrified as I was listening to my music box wind itself up

[00:08:41] and then let itself go. I can't remember the song it played but I screamed. My husband then rushed

[00:08:47] in the room and I screamed, the music box, the music box. And at this point Dante was running

[00:08:53] around on the bed as if trying to catch whatever this thing was in my room. My husband picked up

[00:08:58] the box and said what are you screaming at a music box for? It wound itself up and started playing

[00:09:05] I said. I was now in tears at this point and he said, well maybe there's someone here that

[00:09:11] just wants to play with you. Someone meaning a spirit as he knew how things happened with me.

[00:09:17] However, I didn't care. I didn't want to wait and find out. We disposed of the box

[00:09:22] and I never bought another music box ever again. Thank you for taking the time to go through my

[00:09:45] and Hunter's story is called Shadow Apparition and an out of body experience.

[00:09:53] Hi Nick, I would like to start by saying thank you for the platform and community that you have

[00:09:58] created with your podcast. It means a lot to people who feel like they can't share their experiences

[00:10:03] with family or friends. I absolutely love the podcast as it gets me through work and I have

[00:10:08] something to look forward to in the mornings. I have three stories that I wanted to share with you

[00:10:14] and the listeners today. I have suffered from sleep paralysis my whole life and I experience it

[00:10:20] at least two to three times per month. Since this is the case, I guess you could say I'm fairly

[00:10:25] used to it by now and can usually get out of it quickly by either wiggling my fingers or even my toes.

[00:10:31] When I have sleep paralysis, 98% of the time I don't see or hear anything unusual. It's just

[00:10:37] annoying to have to try and get out of it but most of the time I just try and go back to bed.

[00:10:43] The first experience that I had with this thing happened in January of 2023 in my apartment.

[00:10:50] I was lying on my couch in my living room with a TV on watching Netflix and I must have fallen

[00:10:55] asleep at some point because I remember opening my eyes and looking straight at my TV which was

[00:11:00] now off but in the reflection there was this person standing behind my couch. I immediately tried to

[00:11:07] get up and face this person which I assumed was a robber standing behind me but I then realized I

[00:11:13] couldn't move and I said to myself, sleep paralysis right now? Seriously? Knowing I couldn't do anything,

[00:11:20] I stared at this person behind me and the more I looked at it, the more it became clear that what

[00:11:25] I was actually looking at wasn't someone. It was something. Its body looked human and was this

[00:11:32] pitch black you could gaze into. The best way I can describe it is like the end portal from

[00:11:37] Minecraft, the way you can almost infinitely look into it and see no end. I could only see its

[00:11:43] upper half since the couch was covering the bottom half and it was wearing this almost teal button

[00:11:48] down shirt with the top three buttons undone as well as a tie. Now as I stared at this thing,

[00:11:55] I never felt scared, terrified or even in fear for my life at any time but I did feel like a lifetime

[00:12:01] had passed me by. Then all of a sudden it was gone and I realized that I could move once again.

[00:12:08] About two weeks later I had to get my appendix removed because I got appendicitis. This is relevant

[00:12:14] to the end story. My second story includes this same entity but I got a better look at it this time.

[00:12:21] In June of 2023, I went to bed around midnight watching YouTube trying to fall asleep.

[00:12:26] I woke up at about 2 a.m. realizing I had to use the bathroom. Before I got out of bed,

[00:12:32] I petted my cat who loves following me everywhere I go no matter the time of day.

[00:12:37] I then stood up and looked down at the floor waiting for my cat to start following me like he usually

[00:12:42] does but he didn't this time. However, I was too tired to think anything of it. As I walked toward

[00:12:49] my door I felt almost disoriented and dizzy but I had just woken up. As I opened my door,

[00:12:55] I was still looking at the ground trying to avoid the light coming down the hallway from the kitchen

[00:13:00] and as my door opened I just had this feeling to look up and as I did I swear on my mother

[00:13:06] that this thing again was just standing in front of my door and staring at me

[00:13:11] at which point I made eye contact with it. Its eyes were just like its body but an even deeper

[00:13:18] pitch black color and voidless. From my peripheral vision I could make out almost something like a

[00:13:24] bone structure yet had eye sockets and a jawbone like a human skull. Now after staring at it for

[00:13:30] like 10 seconds I just set out loud, oh okay and I then turned around and I shut my door

[00:13:37] forgetting I had to go to the bathroom. As I was walking back to my bed I saw the strangest thing.

[00:13:43] Yes, even weirder than seeing a pitch black humanoid being. My body was lying on my bed

[00:13:49] with my cat sitting next to me with its head looking down at me. Out of nowhere I get this overwhelming

[00:13:55] feeling to go and lay down inside of my own body. After I lay down I sat up and my cat was just

[00:14:01] staring at me showing its teeth and growling. Now when I tell you that he is the sweetest thing

[00:14:06] on this planet it was completely out of character for him to do this. I then reached my hand out

[00:14:12] and I started petting his head and he instantly stopped and laid his head down on my leg like nothing

[00:14:17] happened. About three weeks later I totalled my car, bruising my ribs and I sustained a concussion.

[00:14:26] My final story happened in August of 2023 and it starts the same way as my second story.

[00:14:32] I went to bed at night and I woke up at about 2am having to go to the bathroom but as soon as I stood

[00:14:38] up I felt compelled to look outside of my window. I live on the second story of my apartment building

[00:14:44] overlooking the parking lot and garages of the complex and standing right in front of my assigned

[00:14:49] garage was this same being, wearing the same button down shirt and tie but now I got a clearer

[00:14:56] look at its lower half. It was wearing these light blue bell-bottom jeans covering its feet.

[00:15:02] I could just feel it staring at me and then it did something I hadn't seen it do before.

[00:15:08] It started almost floating toward my apartment doors. I knew it was floating because when it moved

[00:15:13] it was smooth and it didn't bounce up and down like when you walk. I then just slowly turned around

[00:15:20] and once again I saw my own body lying down in my bed and I once again had the same overwhelming

[00:15:26] urge to lie down in it and when I did once again I was sitting up and confused. I started

[00:15:32] freaking out and convincing myself that something terrible was going to happen to me but thankfully as

[00:15:37] of October of 2023 nothing has happened. Thank you if you share this on your podcast. I would

[00:16:38] This next experience of the night comes to us from Fizzita and Fizzita's experience is called

[00:16:45] Was it the Shadow Man? Fizzita says,

[00:16:49] Hi Nick and just started listening to your podcast on Apple Podcasts. Your listener's stories about

[00:16:54] the Shadow Man triggered a memory that I would like to share with you. I live in Ontario Canada

[00:17:00] and when I was in middle school about 25 years ago I was part of a Hall Monitor Club.

[00:17:06] As an end-of-school year treat the school arranged for the club to head out to a cabin near Lake

[00:17:11] St. George for a week as an appreciation for the work that we did during the year. One night in one

[00:17:17] of the dorm rooms some of the girls decided to play Light as a Feather, stiff as a board. We formed

[00:17:23] a circle and had one of our classmates lay in the center of it. We then took our index finger and

[00:17:28] middle fingers of both hands and we placed our fingertips just under the outer edge of her body.

[00:17:34] We closed our eyes and began chanting. Light as a Feather, stiff as a board.

[00:17:41] At that moment the room felt changed with an energy as we continued to chant and I could swear

[00:17:47] that we started to feel our classmate lift off the ground. All of a sudden I had an uneasy feeling

[00:17:54] and I didn't want to continue playing. After the chant ended I decided to head back to my room

[00:17:59] entering the Hall Weiner the back of the cabin there was a door with a frosted glass window

[00:18:04] that let out onto the property and into the wooded area and this is one wave of panic hit me.

[00:18:11] I saw what looked like a shadow figure standing outside of the door. I quickly rushed into my room

[00:18:17] and I pulled the covers over my head until morning.

[00:18:24] Our next experience comes to us from Lucy and Lucy's experience is called

[00:18:28] Potential Shadow Person

[00:18:32] Hi Nick, I have been interested in the paranormal for a long time now as members of my family

[00:18:37] have told me stories about their experiences since I was a child so I have always been more on

[00:18:42] the believing side. I recently found your podcast and I think the format is great to learn

[00:18:47] about others' experiences. The experience I had was when I was a child about nine or ten years old.

[00:18:54] I am now twenty but I remember it clearly and I have not told many people in the fear that they'll

[00:18:59] laugh at it or convince me that it's not real. I was at my local cinema for my friend's birthday party

[00:19:06] It was me, my two friends, my friend's sister and her friends. We were the only ones in the theater

[00:19:12] apart from one other group who sat on the other side. I should also say that my friend's sister

[00:19:17] said a few rows in front of us. Now during the film the older girls came over to me and my friends

[00:19:23] and they said that they had just seen something on the floor, on their row, that looked like a pair of

[00:19:28] legs. We were all confused yet scared as we knew that the girls hadn't moved or that no one else

[00:19:34] was sitting near them so we walked down to see what was there and I saw exactly what they described.

[00:19:40] It was a shadow of a pair of legs. I couldn't see the body as they were lying on the floor but they

[00:19:46] looked very dark even in the darkness of the room. My friend checked to see if it was someone's coat

[00:19:52] but it wasn't 3D. I was frightened so I went back to my seat yet I couldn't concentrate on the

[00:19:57] rest of the film. The girls kept turning around to say that they were still there throughout the film

[00:20:03] yet at one point they had gone. I was relieved yet confused as I wondered what had happened.

[00:20:09] However, they hadn't gone, only moved yet no one saw them move. Now I don't know if you would see a

[00:20:16] shadow move but this was a very dark shadow and the fact that they had moved confirmed to me

[00:20:21] that it couldn't have been a trick. Later when we were leaving the cinema I saw that they had

[00:20:26] moved over to the fire exit next to the screen and I could make out the leg-shaped shadow on the floor.

[00:20:32] The exit looked pitch black so I couldn't make out if there was a body but my friends said that

[00:20:37] they saw the same thing as well. Even to this day I get scared going inside the cinema

[00:20:43] as it's an old building but I couldn't find anything online about it being haunted.

[00:20:48] I don't know what it could have been at the time but now I realize that I may have seen a shadow

[00:20:54] person. Our next experience comes to us from Lauren and Lauren's story is called

[00:21:02] Shadow People. Lauren says,

[00:21:06] Aberdeen Scotland 2009. I had been in a deep sleep but had woken up in the early hours of the

[00:21:13] morning and struggled to get back to sleep. I rolled over and noticed there was a shadow in

[00:21:18] the shape of an arch on my bedroom wall. Now I didn't think much of it so I rolled back over

[00:21:22] and tried to get back to sleep. I then encountered the same experience every night for the next week or so.

[00:21:29] One night I decided to put one of my spare pillows where the shadow usually appeared as my bed

[00:21:34] was against the wall so the pillow stayed in place. I then laid on the other side of my bed

[00:21:40] and I fell asleep. I woke up throughout the night and found the pillow lying on the floor

[00:21:45] and in a state of panic I ran into my mom's bedroom and I asked her to come and lay beside me

[00:21:50] to see if she saw the shadow too. My mom did see the shadow which to my relief meant that it

[00:21:56] wasn't all in my head. The following day I decided to move my room around and for years there was

[00:22:03] no more shadow sightings. However, on the night of my 21st birthday in 2011 my boyfriend had been

[00:22:09] staying with me. The next morning he told me that he saw a shadow in the corner of my room.

[00:22:15] I kind of laughed it off and said that he must have seen the poster on the back of my door.

[00:22:20] However, from that night on I experienced a shadow standing in the corner of my room.

[00:22:26] There has been one on the light switch and on one occasion I saw a small hunched over figure

[00:22:31] like an old woman. I could make out her forehead, nose and chin on my wall.

[00:22:39] Now I've had a few friends stay over and one in particular mention that she had woken up throughout

[00:22:43] the night with the feeling of something softly tickling her arm. Thinking that it might have been

[00:22:49] me trying to freak around she turned around to tell me off. However, I was sound asleep on the

[00:22:56] complete opposite side of the bed. I hope you enjoyed tonight's episode and before I leave you
