[00:00:04] Thank you for joining me and welcome. I'm your host, Nick Ryan. Tonight's episode is brought to you by my newest supporters, Julia, Mel, Colleen, Boozlecat, MC, and Daniel. Thank you for making the show possible.

[00:00:38] Our first experience of the night comes to us from Melissa, and Melissa's story is called, Extraterrestrial Experience. Melissa says, I have been psychic for as long as I can remember, so I have many stories. Thank you, Nick, for offering a venue for these experiences.

[00:00:58] In the summer of 1984, I woke up at 2am. My boyfriend, L, was sound asleep next to me. My children were asleep, with two of them on the second floor along with me. My second oldest son was in the loft, and my eldest son was on the first floor. I always left my bedroom door open so I could hear my children, and so they had easy access to me. This fact is important.

[00:01:23] I heard a humming sound, and I thought, oh, I know who this is. I could see the edges of a UFO hovering over my house. I immediately began to worry about just one of my children, who I will refer to as N.

[00:01:36] There was an alien hovering next to my bed, and level with my head. This being felt female, and when she spoke to me, I could hear her voice telepathically. She had the typical large, slanted eyes with small features for a nose and mouth, and it seemed like she had some kind of veil in front of her face.

[00:01:56] My body was paralyzed. I could hear a loud metallic pounding echoing from the top of my house, and down to the dirt cellar. I saw small beings that were either dressed in blue or with blue thick skin. There were many of them scurrying all through my house, and I asked the female what they were doing. She told me that they were inserting a beacon through my house that would signal others.

[00:02:20] I lived in a rural area on the highest peak of that neighborhood, and the river ran north to south across the road. I was very scared for my daughter, N, who was just down the hall. I did not want them to take her, and I was sure that they had taken her before. N was about six years old, and I told the entity not to take N.

[00:02:42] Then, I heard what sounded like the toilet flushing, and I wondered if N was up. My fear for her skyrocketed. I kept trying to get up, and I asked this being, why won't you let me up? She then asked me to look at the level of fear that I had, and she asked me what I would do with all that fear if she set me free. Somehow, this made sense to me.

[00:03:05] Suddenly, it was three hours later, and the sun was up. I sat up abruptly, and I woke L up. The humming was gone. L asked me what was the matter, and I was still so scared, my body felt like lead. So I asked L to go and make sure that N was still in her bed. I turned as he left the room, however, and L had to open the door as it was now closed.

[00:03:29] That evening, I put my younger daughter to bed. N was a sleepwalker. About an hour after she went to sleep, N started walking down the stairs, and I met her to guide her back to bed. When I reached N, she said, Mommy, they told me to tell you, and she repeated this three times. I asked her what they said, and she then woke up confused and said,

[00:03:52] I can't remember. Our next experience of the night comes to us from Ricardo, and Ricardo's experience is called Stepfather. Hello, Nick. I have had many paranormal experiences throughout my life, so I'm going to begin with my very earliest memory of my first experience.

[00:04:16] The date was 1995 in a small town in West Texas called Fort Stockton. I was five years old and the youngest of five siblings. Growing up, we didn't have much, and we lived in a two-bedroom house. My mother and stepfather would always stay in one room, and I would stay in the other room with my three brothers. For weeks, my brother Miguel, who was about 17 at the time and I, would be woken up in the middle of the night due to our blankets being pulled off of us.

[00:04:45] It got to the point where my brother Miguel began to lose sleep. Now, at first, we thought it was our stepfather David doing it. David was a bit of a joker and would usually like to prank us. Miguel eventually confronted David and asked him to stop pulling the blankets off of us when we were sleeping because the joke was getting old. However, David had no idea what Miguel was talking about, and he told him that it was not him.

[00:05:10] A few nights after that, at around three in the morning, Miguel and I were woken up as soon as the blankets were pulled off of us. We were half asleep, but we saw a tall, dark figure in the hallway that then disappeared into the kitchen. We called out to David numerous times until he came running out of the bedroom and darted toward the kitchen yelling at someone and then chasing it through the back door.

[00:05:32] The next day, David told us that he didn't see a man that night, but rather a large, shadowy figure that moved so fast that it wasn't human. David was not a small man and didn't scare easily, but whatever he saw that night really spooked him. A couple months later, we moved out of that house and into an apartment complex. I never knew what that thing was, but it could have been a ghost or maybe a shadow person. Miguel still speaks of it to this day whenever we get together.

[00:06:02] And we have a few drinks. If this story makes it to you, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read it. And I have a few more stories to hopefully tell in the future. Our next experience of the night comes to us from Richard. And Richard's experience is called The Smiling Face on the Poster. Richard says,

[00:06:28] Hi, I'm a huge fan of your podcast and have been listening to it while doing chores for a while now. I'm a South African and this experience happened to me when I was a kid. I grew up from a poor family and only got hand-me-downs from my older sister. I loved video games and technology at the time, and I always bought the monthly edition of a gaming magazine. This magazine always had a poster in it of a gaming character or even a movie character, depending on what was going viral at the time.

[00:06:57] My walls were filled with these posters. One day I got my sister's old phone as she got a new one, and I was really excited since this new phone had a camera in it. One night, me and a friend were discussing the latest gaming magazine, and he asked me for a photo of the latest poster that was in it. So I sent him multiple photos. He then sent me a message back asking me whose face was on the poster, and what app I used to add it. I was shocked, and I told him that there was no face on there.

[00:07:27] This is when I went back to my photos, and I saw a menacing face with no expression at the bottom of the poster. I ran crying to my family and showing them the picture of the menacing-looking face, but my parents thought that I was pulling a prank. I told him that I wasn't, so my dad said that he was going to take a photo of the poster, and if there was no face, he would take away my phone for a week. My whole family then went to my bedroom, and my dad took the photo. And what he saw made his blood run cold.

[00:07:57] There was the face, but its expression was different this time. It was smiling in such a way that it almost looked inhuman. My dad then ripped the poster off the wall, and he burned it outside. We also deleted the photos that we had taken, so that there was no evil left. This was more than 15 years ago, and I still remember the menacing face. I took multiple photos over the years, but I never captured anything like that in our house, ever again.

[00:08:26] We did have a lot of faint paranormal things happening in our house when I was a kid. I've been pulled off of my bed multiple times when I was younger, and I would always hear faint whispers. One time, I even felt something touch my shoulder at night, when I was alone. We eventually ended up getting our house cleansed, and nothing noticeable ever happened again. To this day, I still feel that there might still be some evil in this house, that hasn't showed itself since the cleansing.

[00:08:59] Our next story of the night comes to us from Amelia. And Amelia's experience is called, The Boy Who Follows. Amelia says, I've been listening to your podcast on and off for almost a year. I've been wanting to send in my story, but I've been a bit hesitant until now. I have a couple of stories, but this particular one has always stuck with me. A little backstory about me, I'm in my 30s, and I live in Australia, north of Brisbane, Queensland.

[00:09:29] Both my parents are deaf, but I am hearing. I am a middle child with one older brother and one younger brother. I am the only girl. This is somewhat relevant to the story I'm about to tell, but I'm going to leave out their names for this. Back when I was about 7 years old, we lived on the south side of Brisbane. One night, as I was just getting into bed, I had the sudden urge to look at my doorway. A little boy had peered around the corner of my door, and my first thought was that my brother was trying to scare me,

[00:09:59] since this was usually his typical prank that he would pull. So, I decided to jump out and scare him myself. I snuck behind the doorway, jumped out, and went, Rah! But he wasn't there. I was confused, and my parents were in the kitchen and saw me jump out, and they asked what I was doing. I said that I saw my brother trying to scare me, but they were puzzled, and they told me that he was asleep in his bed, and that they hadn't seen anything or anyone.

[00:10:29] Sure enough, I checked on my brother, and he was indeed asleep. Puzzled, I went back to bed, and I didn't think much of it. Fast forward to when I was 14. We had moved to Elbury in NSW, and we were visiting my grandparents' house. My grandma had an art studio out the back. That day, my dad was at work, and my older brother was also working, but my younger brother, my mom, and my grandmother were all in the art studio. I was alone in the house.

[00:10:59] I was going through the hallway and passing the kitchen to head into the living room, which also had a doorway, when I saw that same little boy peering around the corner. And again, for a split second, I thought that it was my older brother trying to scare me. I stopped in my tracks, though, because my older brother was 17 at the time, and this little boy looked to be about 9 or 10 years old. I cautiously walked through the doorway and peered around the corner, and he wasn't there.

[00:11:27] At this point, I knew that this little ghost boy was following me. Now, fast forward a few years later to when I was 16. My Nana had passed away, and this little boy came to me in a dream holding Nana's hand, and they both told me not to be afraid, but that he was there to watch over me and look after me. A few years after this, when I was 22, we had moved back to Queensland, but on the north side. My husband and I built a brand new house,

[00:11:56] and I was pregnant with my first baby. I was about 11 weeks pregnant when I saw the little boy once again. He was peering around the corner of the hallway whilst I was in the kitchen, and I just knew that he was warning me about something, and I had a bad feeling about it. Two weeks later, I lost my baby due to an infection. I haven't seen the little boy since, but I know that he's around, and I've never been scared when I see him.

Now, please stay tuned, and I'll be right back after these brief messages. Our next experience comes to us from Anonymous, and this is their story. Hi there Nick, I hope you're doing well.

[00:13:20] I have just found your podcast as of a month ago, and I wish I had found it sooner. After listening for over a month, I'd like to share my paranormal experience. It's so good to be part of a community that I can share my experiences with other like-minded people where there is zero judgment, and everyone is so supportive. My experiences, along with my other family members who I was living with at that time, occurred in late 2010 and early 2011, and at this time, I was nine years old.

[00:13:50] My twin brother was also nine, and my older brother was eleven. I'll just refer to them as my brothers as well as my mom and uncle, as I am not comfortable publishing their names, as well as mine. I grew up in Christ Church, a city in the South Island of New Zealand, and we lived in a relatively old two-story building built in 1920, which was down a quiet street in the eastern suburbs of Christ Church. I know that sounds super cliché, but it's the God's honest truth.

[00:14:20] I have always been skeptical about the paranormal, but I am certain that I, along with my other family members, had paranormal experiences in this house. I can't quite remember how long we lived in this house before a couple of things happened that we could not explain, but I will try with my best ability and start with my older brother. We had just finished school for the day, and a short time later, when we got home, my brother was in need of the bathroom, which was located upstairs, and to the right of the top of the stairway.

[00:14:50] A couple minutes passed, and later, he came running downstairs into the lounge room, visibly scared, and we asked him what was wrong, to which he replied, the toilet roll just randomly started rolling paper onto the floor, and I hadn't touched it. Now, I didn't believe him, and neither did my mom nor my twin, and we all just brushed it off as a wind gust doing it, as the house was old and prone to creaking and funny noises. My older brother was frustrated that we didn't believe him,

[00:15:19] but eventually he calmed down, and he convinced himself that it was indeed just the wind. Fast forward a couple of weeks, and I was asleep in my bed, and for context, this room was located upstairs to the left of the staircase, and it was the second bedroom down the hallway. For some particular reason that I can't explain, on some nights I awake in the early hours of the morning, but I can easily drift back off to sleep because of how tired I am. However, on one particular night,

[00:15:48] I was awoken to the sound of light footsteps on the carpet pitter-pattering up and down the hallway. It wasn't loud enough to where the floor would creak, but enough to hear someone walking on it back and forth. I put it down to one of my brothers going to the bathroom in the middle of the night because me and my twin shared a room. As I tried to go back to sleep, I soon realized that there weren't any lights on, and I couldn't hear the creaking of the floorboards, but I could still make out the light footsteps on the carpet.

[00:16:16] It lasted only a couple seconds longer, and I was a little confused, but also very tired. I put it down as just being tired from school, and that I was just hearing things. At that point, I had forgotten about my older brother's encounter a few weeks prior, so it didn't concern me. I just went back to sleep, and nothing else happened that entire night. Again, we're fast-forwarding to the next encounter, and this time it was my older brother again. I remember this was around 9pm,

[00:16:44] because the sun was about to finish setting, and we were all doing our own things in our rooms. I can't remember what I was doing at the time, but I do remember my older brother was watching TV in his room, which was located in the fourth bedroom that was down the hallway upstairs. As I was doing my own thing, my older brother came running into me and my twin's room, terrified. He said that the TV that he had in his room randomly turned on, and it was playing static on the screen.

[00:17:13] Me and my twin ran into his bedroom to go and have a look, being quite confused, and we saw that the TV was in fact on, and displaying static. We turned it off, and we tried to calm down our older brother that was convinced that our house was haunted. We told him that it's such an old house that the electricals are old, and it's going to play up as we had power outages somewhat often, so it made sense to my twin and I that it was just shoddy electricals. We then unplugged the TV from the wall so it couldn't happen again.

[00:17:42] My older brother, who was now almost certain that something odd was going on in the house, reluctantly agreed, and tried to convince himself that it was just the electricals, so he tried to move on and forget about it the best he could. This would be the last experience that he ever had, and would have no more, as well as me. Fast forwarding again, and my uncle moved in sometime later into the third bedroom upstairs down the hallway. I can't fully remember what the date was,

[00:18:10] but it was sometime near Christmas of 2010, and I can't fully remember the exact circumstances on why he moved in, but as far as I remember, it was just because he needed a place to stay until he got back on his feet and sorted out his life. This is important to the story, as he will later on have an experience. In early 2011, my mom wanted to move more north into a more rural area, away from the city, as she was getting tired of living in such a busy area,

[00:18:38] and she wanted some peace and quiet. We had found a place to rent and were set to move there in early March, but on the 22nd of February, there was a massive earthquake that ruined the city. The surrounding suburbs in my area, as well as the east side, was one of the most affected. With no power or running water, the landlord of the house that we had found asked us if we wanted to move in ASAP, as it was not affected nearly as much and still had power and running water. So we moved in around three days later.

[00:19:08] Now I know that it sounds like I'm rambling, but this is important, as my uncle stayed living in the house for a couple more days till the lease was finished on the house, and all the occupants had to vacate. This is when my uncle had a paranormal experience. My uncle got a helping hand from a couple of his friends to help move some of his belongings that he couldn't move by himself, such as his bed and some drawers into a moving van and then taking it to a house where he was relocating to. He said that while he was upstairs in his room,

[00:19:38] preparing for the next thing to lift to take into the van, he could hear what sounded like a little boy laughing and talking in the hallway by the top of the staircase. His friends who were helping him soon came back up the stairs to help him, and my uncle asked them, What were you guys laughing and talking about? To which they both looked confused and said to him, Laughing and talking about what? We were outside loading the van. No one was laughing and talking. Well, my uncle was very confused and was adamant that it was them

[00:20:07] that made those noises, but they denied that they were in the house and that it was them. My uncle and his friends finished moving his stuff out and leaving the house empty, and that was the end of the paranormal experiences from then on. You'll notice that I haven't yet mentioned my mom or if she had any paranormal encounters in that house, and a few years later in 2016, me and my mom were sitting on the couch watching TV. I'm not sure how we got on the topic, but we started talking about the paranormal,

[00:20:36] in which my mom told me that she believes that she saw a ghost at the house that we lived at in Christ Church. She told me that one day she was walking past the bottom of the staircase to go to the lounge, and in the corner of her eye as she walked past, she saw a little boy sitting on the staircase about halfway up the steps. She said that she immediately took a look back at the staircase, and the little boy was gone. This immediately made me feel cold, and it shot goosebumps all over my body as I hadn't told her

[00:21:05] about what I had experienced due to me shrugging it off as nothing but my nine-year-old imagination. I told her about that night when I could hear footsteps on the carpet and about my uncle's experience with the talking and laughing, and she said that it now confirmed that what she saw was in fact real, and the house did have an entity that was living there. She did say that she never felt threatened by the ghost, and she never told me the story nor my twin or older brother, as she didn't want to freak us out and make us all scared.

[00:21:35] After putting all the pieces together, it all makes sense. The light footsteps, the giggling, and the talking. It all adds up to what my mom saw and what my uncle also experienced, as well as my older brother. I have not since experienced anything paranormal, and as far as I'm aware, my twin never experienced anything in that house. So I guess he's quite lucky. Thank you so much for listening to my story. I will always be listening to your podcast,

[00:22:04] and I thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I really appreciate it. I'm so grateful that I got to share it with like-minded people.
