[00:00:00] Before I begin tonight's episode, I just want to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everybody.

[00:00:06] This will be my last episode before Christmas, but I'll be back next week with all new episodes.

[00:00:11] Until then, I hope each and every one of you stays safe and healthy, and I want to remind you how much I appreciate each and every one of you for listening.

[00:00:19] Now, on with the show.

[00:00:26] Thank you for listening and welcome back.

[00:00:29] I'm your host, Nick Ryan.

[00:00:32] Tonight's episode is brought to you by my newest supporters, Mark, Solita, Lone Crimson, and Zoe.

[00:00:40] Thank you so much for making the show possible.

[00:00:59] Tonight's first experience comes to us from Zinnia.

[00:01:02] And Zinnia's story is called,

[00:01:05] Umbrella Tree.

[00:01:07] Zinnia says,

[00:01:09] Hello Nick, I hope you, your family, and listeners are doing well.

[00:01:13] Thank you so much for sharing my story on episode 376, entitled, Patio Swing.

[00:01:19] I was pleasantly surprised to hear it.

[00:01:22] The story I want to share is in a way a mimic story, and it took place in the same house as my previous story.

[00:01:28] I lived in this house throughout middle school and high school in the Philippines, and I don't think I shared the location the last time.

[00:01:35] My parents had the house built, so we were the first family to ever live in this house.

[00:01:40] The community was also new, and we were perhaps one of the first 20 or so homes that were built there.

[00:01:47] On more than one occasion, my siblings would come up the stairs to my room,

[00:01:51] because they heard me calling out to them when I never actually did.

[00:01:55] It was always just me, though never my siblings nor my parents.

[00:01:59] I never really gave it much thought.

[00:02:02] One time, my siblings heard my mom in the upstairs bathroom brushing her teeth

[00:02:06] because they distinctively heard her tapping her toothbrush onto the sink,

[00:02:10] which is a habit of hers,

[00:02:11] only to then realize that she was still at work.

[00:02:14] As a side story, when my mom was in college,

[00:02:17] her siblings and parents told us that one evening, while the family was having dinner,

[00:02:22] they heard my mom laughing at the front door,

[00:02:24] and they all said,

[00:02:25] Jay is here,

[00:02:26] but they were not expecting her because she was staying in an apartment in the capital while in school.

[00:02:32] They all ran to the front door to let her in,

[00:02:34] only to find that my mom was not there,

[00:02:37] as she was still in the capital, at least 50 miles away.

[00:02:41] Anyway, going back to the original story,

[00:02:44] one occurrence stuck with me to this day.

[00:02:46] It happened while I was in my room studying,

[00:02:48] and it was early evening.

[00:02:50] My bedroom is on the second floor,

[00:02:52] and the windows face our yard,

[00:02:53] which is on the side of our house,

[00:02:56] so it's more like a side yard than an actual front yard.

[00:02:59] I had my window open so I could hear the ambient neighborhood sounds,

[00:03:03] dogs barking in the distance,

[00:03:05] night bugs, etc.

[00:03:07] I was deep into my studying

[00:03:09] when I distinctively heard a female voice

[00:03:11] that sounded like my friend M

[00:03:13] calling out to me.

[00:03:14] It sounded like it was coming from outside my bedroom window,

[00:03:18] but from our yard.

[00:03:19] I looked up from whatever I was reading,

[00:03:21] but I didn't really move,

[00:03:23] and I just kept on listening to it.

[00:03:25] I was in disbelief because I knew it was not her.

[00:03:28] First off, she lived about two miles away from me,

[00:03:30] and neither of us could drive yet.

[00:03:32] I felt more annoyed than scared

[00:03:34] because I was cramming for a test,

[00:03:36] so I completely ignored it.

[00:03:38] I remember also noting

[00:03:40] that although it was M's voice,

[00:03:42] it had a sound of desperation to it.

[00:03:44] It did stop eventually after about 30 seconds

[00:03:47] of repeatedly calling my name,

[00:03:49] and at that point I moved on to cramming,

[00:03:52] and did not think much of it.

[00:03:54] Many years later,

[00:03:55] I shared my story with my sister,

[00:03:57] and she then asked me,

[00:03:59] do you remember that big tree in the middle of our yard?

[00:04:02] I said,

[00:04:03] yeah,

[00:04:03] but mom and dad had that tree cut down.

[00:04:06] She then said,

[00:04:08] well,

[00:04:08] the reason they had that tree cut down

[00:04:10] is because our neighbors have told mom and dad

[00:04:12] that they would see a lady standing under that tree

[00:04:15] when no one was home.

[00:04:17] Now, for context,

[00:04:19] our house is fenced in.

[00:04:20] The fence is made up of cinder blocks

[00:04:22] and spiky metal bars.

[00:04:24] The property also has a solid metal gate

[00:04:26] at least seven or eight feet high

[00:04:27] that also has spiky bars on top of it.

[00:04:30] The gate can only be locked from inside,

[00:04:32] so no one can really just walk up to our yard

[00:04:35] and unlock the gate.

[00:04:36] It's not like anyone can reach in

[00:04:38] and unlock it

[00:04:39] because it's a solid sheet of metal.

[00:04:42] This was the first time

[00:04:43] I've ever heard of this lady under that tree.

[00:04:46] Somehow,

[00:04:47] my sister attributed the mimic to that lady,

[00:04:49] and looking back,

[00:04:50] that mimic did stop

[00:04:52] when the tree was cut down.

[00:04:54] That tree did not come with the property.

[00:04:56] It was planted after we moved in,

[00:04:58] but it grew to a medium-sized tree.

[00:05:00] It is a tree called an umbrella tree

[00:05:03] or a talisay tree

[00:05:04] because the branches spread out

[00:05:06] like an umbrella.

[00:05:08] Who was she?

[00:05:09] Was she an elemental

[00:05:10] or even a lost soul?

[00:05:12] That was attached to the land

[00:05:13] or the tree?

[00:05:15] At this point,

[00:05:16] I don't want to find out.

[00:05:19] Thank you again, Nick,

[00:05:20] for this wonderful community.

[00:05:22] Blessings to you,

[00:05:24] your family,

[00:05:25] and your listeners.

[00:05:27] Sincerely,

[00:05:29] Zinnia.

[00:05:30] Our next experience of the night

[00:05:35] comes to us from Sissy.

[00:05:37] And Sissy's experience is called

[00:05:40] The Door Entities.

[00:05:43] Sissy says,

[00:05:44] Hello, Nick.

[00:05:45] I just stumbled upon your podcast today,

[00:05:47] and I've been listening from my desk all day.

[00:05:50] It's great to know that there are some positive stories

[00:05:53] about friendly entities,

[00:05:54] as I have always assumed that they are only there

[00:05:56] to make us fear them,

[00:05:58] and to not be friends.

[00:06:00] The experience I want to share

[00:06:01] is currently happening in my home,

[00:06:03] and I am not sure what to believe.

[00:06:06] It's a suspicion I have

[00:06:07] and would like to hear from other people

[00:06:09] who may be experiencing

[00:06:10] similar happenings.

[00:06:13] I live in southern Africa

[00:06:14] and have a four-year-old son

[00:06:16] who is nonverbal.

[00:06:18] We moved into our house

[00:06:19] about five years ago.

[00:06:21] From the time that he was a little baby,

[00:06:23] he has been staring at the top

[00:06:24] of different doors in the house,

[00:06:26] and sometimes just the bare wall.

[00:06:28] He's always looking up

[00:06:30] and never down.

[00:06:31] My husband does not like this at all,

[00:06:33] and would always try to snap him out of it

[00:06:35] whenever he catches him fixated on one spot.

[00:06:38] My mom, a devoted Christian,

[00:06:40] said that maybe he is staring at his guardian angel

[00:06:43] because he did not seem to be freaked out.

[00:06:45] My husband, however,

[00:06:47] claims that our son

[00:06:48] often has his freak-out episodes

[00:06:50] right after looking at the top of a door,

[00:06:52] especially the one in the living room.

[00:06:55] I have noticed this as well,

[00:06:57] but I have also seen him look chilled out

[00:06:59] even when he is fixated on the door.

[00:07:01] It's like whatever it is

[00:07:03] scares him sometimes,

[00:07:04] but not others,

[00:07:05] and it happens at random times of the day.

[00:07:09] I can't explain it,

[00:07:10] but this one night

[00:07:11] I felt immense fear come over me

[00:07:13] as I was about to go to the bed

[00:07:15] with my son.

[00:07:16] I could not get myself

[00:07:17] to go to the bedroom with him.

[00:07:18] It also didn't help

[00:07:20] that he was crying when I tried to.

[00:07:22] I said a prayer while almost in tears

[00:07:24] and a lump in my throat

[00:07:25] that I could not explain

[00:07:27] or get rid of.

[00:07:29] I then asked my husband

[00:07:30] to go to bed with us,

[00:07:31] and I prayed

[00:07:32] until we fell asleep.

[00:07:34] It's important to note

[00:07:36] that there was a young couple

[00:07:37] that lived there before us,

[00:07:38] and they too have a child

[00:07:40] that is now nonverbal

[00:07:41] at six years old.

[00:07:43] Could these entities be the cause?

[00:07:45] Do they not want our children

[00:07:46] to tell us what they are seeing?

[00:07:48] And why do these entities

[00:07:49] seem to cling on to the top

[00:07:51] of the doors?

[00:07:53] I have not always felt threatened

[00:07:55] except for that day that I mentioned,

[00:07:57] as well as a few others

[00:07:58] where my son freaks out

[00:07:59] from nowhere

[00:08:00] while staring at the top

[00:08:01] of our living room door,

[00:08:03] and I'm helpless.

[00:08:05] If anyone has any tips

[00:08:06] on how to get rid of an entity,

[00:08:08] I would really appreciate it

[00:08:10] if they would reach out to me.

[00:08:12] Thank you for this platform, Nick.

[00:08:14] I love your work.

[00:08:20] Our next experience of the evening

[00:08:21] comes to us from Logray,

[00:08:24] and Logray's experience is called

[00:08:26] The Walls Have Voices

[00:08:29] and UFOs.

[00:08:31] Logray says,

[00:08:33] Hello, Nick.

[00:08:34] I have many stories going back

[00:08:35] to when I was four or five years old,

[00:08:37] so I thought that I would break this

[00:08:39] into several segments

[00:08:40] for ease of telling.

[00:08:41] I need to give a bit of background

[00:08:43] before I start the stories.

[00:08:44] So here we go.

[00:08:46] I have crystal clear memories

[00:08:48] going back to when I was

[00:08:49] about six months old.

[00:08:50] I have at least one memory

[00:08:52] for each house or apartment

[00:08:53] that we lived in.

[00:08:54] We moved four times

[00:08:56] before I was four years old.

[00:08:57] My memories continue clear

[00:08:59] through my youth

[00:09:00] and still are easily recollected today.

[00:09:03] This is important

[00:09:04] because I have had strange things

[00:09:05] happen to me throughout my life.

[00:09:07] We moved to California

[00:09:09] when I was three

[00:09:10] and moved for our last time

[00:09:12] as a family when I was four,

[00:09:14] finally settling in Orange County.

[00:09:16] Our house had my parents' bedroom

[00:09:18] right across the hall from my room

[00:09:20] with the hallway stretching

[00:09:21] through the house

[00:09:21] to two main rooms

[00:09:23] and a kitchen.

[00:09:24] I remember when I was

[00:09:25] either four or five

[00:09:26] waking up one morning

[00:09:28] and hearing my mom

[00:09:29] calling my name.

[00:09:30] I got up to see what she wanted,

[00:09:31] but I found her in bed asleep.

[00:09:34] When I woke her up

[00:09:35] to ask her if she was calling me,

[00:09:36] she said no,

[00:09:37] and she told me to go back to bed.

[00:09:39] The next morning,

[00:09:41] I heard the TV running down the hall.

[00:09:42] I got up to see if the TV was on

[00:09:44] and everyone else was still asleep,

[00:09:46] and I found the TV was off.

[00:09:49] I need to mention

[00:09:50] that this was in the early 70s,

[00:09:52] and TVs took time to warm up,

[00:09:54] and when they shut off,

[00:09:55] they left a residual buzzing

[00:09:56] for one or two minutes.

[00:09:58] I eventually just chalked it up

[00:10:00] to the walls having voices,

[00:10:01] and I never had this experience again.

[00:10:05] I had one ongoing experience

[00:10:07] as a child

[00:10:08] that I found comforting.

[00:10:09] When I was two,

[00:10:11] my grandfather,

[00:10:12] with whom I was very close,

[00:10:13] died suddenly in his early 50s.

[00:10:16] Whenever I would think about him

[00:10:17] or wish that he was around,

[00:10:19] I would get a warm feeling

[00:10:20] that reminded me of his hugs.

[00:10:21] I truly believe that this was his way

[00:10:24] of letting me know

[00:10:24] that he was still watching out for me.

[00:10:26] I think that he also lent me his luck,

[00:10:29] as I won drawings in games

[00:10:31] where I had no business winning.

[00:10:32] So great was this luck

[00:10:34] that one time at school,

[00:10:35] a bully threw a rock

[00:10:37] at the back of my head.

[00:10:38] I bent over to look at something

[00:10:40] on the ground,

[00:10:40] and the rock flew

[00:10:41] where my head had been.

[00:10:43] I had no idea the bully was even there

[00:10:45] before he threw the rock.

[00:10:48] The last thing that happened to me

[00:10:49] in my early childhood

[00:10:50] was two distinct UFO sightings.

[00:10:53] I was an avid reader,

[00:10:54] learning to read by the time

[00:10:55] that I was four.

[00:10:57] Besides dinosaurs,

[00:10:58] I had a fascination with UFOs,

[00:11:00] planes,

[00:11:01] and even helicopters.

[00:11:02] I owned and read several books

[00:11:04] about each,

[00:11:05] and I would watch

[00:11:06] the original Project Blue Book

[00:11:07] that came out

[00:11:08] in the early to mid-70s.

[00:11:10] One day,

[00:11:11] when I was in the second grade,

[00:11:13] I was walking home from school,

[00:11:14] and I remember looking up

[00:11:16] at the sky.

[00:11:17] It was overcast

[00:11:18] with big puffy clouds

[00:11:19] all moving in one direction.

[00:11:21] Suddenly,

[00:11:22] I noticed an oval-shaped object

[00:11:24] moving in the opposite direction

[00:11:26] of the other clouds.

[00:11:27] I got scared,

[00:11:28] and I ran the rest

[00:11:29] of the way home.

[00:11:31] About a year later,

[00:11:32] I was sitting in the recliner

[00:11:33] in our TV room

[00:11:34] watching TV.

[00:11:36] There was a large window

[00:11:37] next to the TV,

[00:11:38] and I remember looking out

[00:11:39] and up

[00:11:40] to see a circular object

[00:11:42] slowly moving across the sky

[00:11:43] with a band of red

[00:11:45] and green flashing lights.

[00:11:46] At the time,

[00:11:47] it looked to be

[00:11:48] no more than 150 feet or so

[00:11:50] above our detached garage.

[00:11:52] It wasn't making a sound,

[00:11:54] and I couldn't resolve it

[00:11:55] being either a plane

[00:11:56] or a helicopter.

[00:11:57] It just didn't look or move

[00:11:59] like either one.

[00:12:01] When I told my parents

[00:12:02] and then came back

[00:12:03] to look for it again,

[00:12:04] it was gone.

[00:12:07] That's all for now,

[00:12:08] but I would be glad

[00:12:09] to tell you more of my stories

[00:12:10] another time.

[00:12:57] Our next experience

[00:12:59] of the night

[00:12:59] comes to us

[00:13:00] from Nick,

[00:13:01] and Nick's experience

[00:13:02] is called

[00:13:04] Getting My Attention.

[00:13:06] Nick says,

[00:13:08] About six years ago,

[00:13:10] my wife and I

[00:13:10] bought our first home.

[00:13:12] It is a large,

[00:13:13] rustic,

[00:13:13] 19th century colonial

[00:13:15] nestled in a village

[00:13:16] within a rural town

[00:13:17] of western New York State.

[00:13:19] My wife had taken

[00:13:20] a detailed look

[00:13:21] into our deed

[00:13:21] when we purchased,

[00:13:23] outlining that

[00:13:23] there were

[00:13:24] quite a few property owners

[00:13:25] dating back

[00:13:26] to the late 1800s.

[00:13:28] Admittedly,

[00:13:28] I have yet to look

[00:13:29] at this deed,

[00:13:30] which I should probably do.

[00:13:32] We always thought

[00:13:33] that there would be

[00:13:34] paranormal activity

[00:13:35] in our home,

[00:13:36] mostly due to its age,

[00:13:37] though we experienced

[00:13:39] very little.

[00:13:40] Nonetheless,

[00:13:41] I tried to stay true

[00:13:42] to the home's character

[00:13:43] when doing any repairs

[00:13:44] or renovations,

[00:13:45] as I have heard

[00:13:46] that this can disrupt

[00:13:47] potential spirit inhabitants.

[00:13:49] The only experience

[00:13:50] I have ever had

[00:13:51] in this home,

[00:13:52] however,

[00:13:52] is one of the strangest

[00:13:54] things that has

[00:13:55] ever happened to me.

[00:13:56] A few years ago,

[00:13:58] my wife and I

[00:13:59] were in the living room

[00:13:59] side by side

[00:14:00] on the couch

[00:14:01] watching TV.

[00:14:02] Out of the blue,

[00:14:03] I felt what could be

[00:14:04] described as someone

[00:14:06] touching my shoulder

[00:14:07] as if to get my attention.

[00:14:09] When I glanced off

[00:14:10] to my right,

[00:14:10] expecting to see my dog,

[00:14:12] I saw something

[00:14:13] much more

[00:14:14] indescribable.

[00:14:15] To my right

[00:14:16] and on my shoulder

[00:14:17] was a small part

[00:14:18] of my shirt

[00:14:19] being actively pulled

[00:14:20] outward and upward,

[00:14:22] as if someone

[00:14:23] was tugging at it.

[00:14:24] I literally watched

[00:14:25] in real time

[00:14:26] as the fabric

[00:14:27] was pulled

[00:14:28] and in a pinched formation,

[00:14:29] as if someone

[00:14:30] or something

[00:14:31] had two fingers

[00:14:33] clasped around it.

[00:14:35] After a few seconds,

[00:14:36] the fabric on my shoulder

[00:14:37] went limp,

[00:14:38] and I glanced back

[00:14:39] to my wife

[00:14:39] to say,

[00:14:40] did you see that?

[00:14:41] However,

[00:14:42] mid-sentence,

[00:14:43] I caught her staring

[00:14:44] at me white-faced,

[00:14:46] as she had seen

[00:14:46] the whole thing

[00:14:47] as well.

[00:14:48] We went back and forth

[00:14:50] for several minutes,

[00:14:51] debating over

[00:14:52] what could explain

[00:14:52] what we both witnessed,

[00:14:54] but we could not come up

[00:14:55] with any reasonable

[00:14:56] explanation.

[00:14:57] The only conclusion

[00:14:58] we could draw

[00:14:59] was that someone

[00:15:00] or something

[00:15:01] was trying

[00:15:02] to get my attention.

[00:15:04] To this day,

[00:15:05] I have never experienced

[00:15:06] anything strange

[00:15:07] in my current home

[00:15:08] or had anything like that

[00:15:09] occur again.

[00:15:11] Thanks for reading

[00:15:12] my story.

[00:15:12] I have many other

[00:15:14] past experiences

[00:15:15] and will work

[00:15:16] to submit them

[00:15:17] for consideration

[00:15:18] as well.

[00:15:23] Our next experience

[00:15:24] of the night

[00:15:25] comes to us

[00:15:26] from Indigo.

[00:15:27] An Indigo story

[00:15:28] is called

[00:15:30] Unexplained

[00:15:31] Object Movement.

[00:15:33] Hi Nick,

[00:15:34] I have been listening

[00:15:35] to your podcast

[00:15:36] for a few years now

[00:15:37] and I am just getting

[00:15:38] around to sending

[00:15:38] you a message.

[00:15:39] Like everybody else

[00:15:41] says,

[00:15:41] I want to thank you

[00:15:42] for this podcast

[00:15:43] and doing what you do.

[00:15:44] I really appreciate

[00:15:45] that you read

[00:15:46] people's stories

[00:15:47] without too much

[00:15:48] emphasis or sound effects

[00:15:49] or commentary.

[00:15:50] Your podcast

[00:15:51] feels like a good

[00:15:52] neutral space

[00:15:53] to share

[00:15:53] and I appreciate

[00:15:54] hearing other

[00:15:55] people's experiences.

[00:15:57] I've had several

[00:15:58] different experiences

[00:15:59] over my life,

[00:16:00] multiple imaginary

[00:16:01] friends in forms

[00:16:02] of cartoon characters,

[00:16:04] saying things

[00:16:04] that didn't make sense

[00:16:05] until later,

[00:16:07] predictive dreams,

[00:16:08] lucid dreaming,

[00:16:09] seeing and experiencing

[00:16:10] various unseen

[00:16:12] presences,

[00:16:12] and more.

[00:16:14] Here's one that

[00:16:15] isn't mind-blowing

[00:16:16] but was odd

[00:16:17] and it happened

[00:16:17] about two or three

[00:16:18] years ago.

[00:16:19] I used to clean

[00:16:20] vacation rentals.

[00:16:22] I am always alone

[00:16:23] in these houses

[00:16:23] unless one of the

[00:16:24] house managers

[00:16:25] visited.

[00:16:26] I am usually

[00:16:27] in a rush

[00:16:27] when I get there,

[00:16:28] checking out the space

[00:16:29] and checking my

[00:16:30] instructions on my phone.

[00:16:32] On one such occasion,

[00:16:33] I was standing

[00:16:34] in the living room

[00:16:35] and my bluetooth

[00:16:35] headphones,

[00:16:36] the kind where

[00:16:37] the buds are attached

[00:16:38] to each other

[00:16:38] with a wire,

[00:16:39] fell off my neck

[00:16:40] and onto the floor

[00:16:41] by the living room table,

[00:16:43] about a foot away

[00:16:43] from me.

[00:16:44] I know this

[00:16:45] because I made a visual

[00:16:46] and mental note

[00:16:47] to myself

[00:16:47] that my headphones

[00:16:48] fell right down there.

[00:16:50] I did this

[00:16:51] so that I would remember

[00:16:51] to pick them up later.

[00:16:53] I often get distracted

[00:16:54] by the amount of details

[00:16:55] that I'm absorbing

[00:16:56] when I first get

[00:16:57] into the homes

[00:16:58] and it helps me

[00:16:59] to pause

[00:16:59] and make a mental note

[00:17:00] when things like that happen.

[00:17:02] After making a note

[00:17:03] of where they were,

[00:17:05] I turned my attention

[00:17:05] back to my phone

[00:17:06] to check in

[00:17:07] on my cleaner's app.

[00:17:08] When I was doing that,

[00:17:10] I felt and heard

[00:17:11] something hit

[00:17:11] the top of my boot.

[00:17:13] Now,

[00:17:13] these boots

[00:17:14] have a stiff toe.

[00:17:15] I've had them

[00:17:15] for years

[00:17:16] and I am very familiar

[00:17:17] with the sound

[00:17:18] when they hit

[00:17:19] the top of them.

[00:17:20] When I looked down,

[00:17:22] my headphones

[00:17:22] were next to my right boot,

[00:17:24] so they had moved

[00:17:25] at least a foot,

[00:17:27] seemingly on their own

[00:17:28] while I wasn't looking.

[00:17:29] I remember feeling

[00:17:30] shocked for several moments

[00:17:32] and then I looked up

[00:17:33] and I said,

[00:17:34] thank you.

[00:17:35] I don't know

[00:17:36] if I somehow did this

[00:17:37] using telekinesis,

[00:17:39] something else did it,

[00:17:40] or what the heck happened,

[00:17:41] but I figured

[00:17:42] that the gesture

[00:17:42] was helpful in nature

[00:17:44] and it's good

[00:17:45] to be polite.

[00:17:46] It wasn't a life-changing story,

[00:17:48] but it happened

[00:17:49] and it was definitely weird.

[00:17:52] I have more experiences

[00:17:53] to share

[00:17:54] and thoughts

[00:17:55] on different episodes

[00:17:56] for future emails.

[00:17:57] Thanks again

[00:17:58] for making this podcast.

[00:18:04] Our next experience

[00:18:05] of the evening

[00:18:06] comes to us

[00:18:07] from Casey

[00:18:08] and Casey's story

[00:18:09] is called

[00:18:10] Childhood Apparitions

[00:18:12] and The Crawling Darkness.

[00:18:16] As I listen more

[00:18:17] to your podcast episodes,

[00:18:18] more of the experiences

[00:18:19] I have blocked out

[00:18:20] over the years

[00:18:21] have began coming back to me.

[00:18:23] These are a few short stories

[00:18:25] beginning with one

[00:18:26] my mother told me

[00:18:26] that shook her

[00:18:28] to her core.

[00:18:29] I was about four years old

[00:18:31] at the time

[00:18:31] and I was just chatting

[00:18:32] on my little toy phone,

[00:18:34] having a long,

[00:18:35] quiet conversation

[00:18:36] with someone.

[00:18:37] My mother tells me

[00:18:38] that she thought

[00:18:38] this was funny and cute,

[00:18:40] so she asked me

[00:18:41] who I was talking to.

[00:18:42] I then paused

[00:18:43] and I told her

[00:18:44] Grandma Mary

[00:18:45] and she says hi.

[00:18:48] Now,

[00:18:48] Mary was my mother's grandmother

[00:18:50] who had passed away

[00:18:51] very recently.

[00:18:52] My mother said

[00:18:53] that it creeped her out

[00:18:54] so bad

[00:18:54] because she had never

[00:18:56] told me about Mary.

[00:18:57] She said right after this,

[00:18:59] she made me get off

[00:19:00] my toy phone

[00:19:01] immediately.

[00:19:03] My next experiences

[00:19:04] started happening

[00:19:05] to my brother and I

[00:19:06] when we were about

[00:19:07] five and three,

[00:19:08] so right around 1995.

[00:19:11] I woke up one morning

[00:19:12] and as I opened my eyes,

[00:19:14] a bald man

[00:19:14] that looked similar

[00:19:15] to Fester Adams

[00:19:16] popped up beside my bed

[00:19:18] looking at me.

[00:19:19] I instantly covered my head

[00:19:21] and started crying

[00:19:21] for my mom to get me

[00:19:23] and she did,

[00:19:24] but I wouldn't talk

[00:19:25] about what had happened.

[00:19:26] She thought

[00:19:27] that I just had a nightmare.

[00:19:29] This scared me so bad

[00:19:30] that when I woke up

[00:19:31] for days,

[00:19:32] I wouldn't uncover my face

[00:19:33] and I would scream

[00:19:34] for my oldest brother

[00:19:35] or my mom

[00:19:36] to come and get me.

[00:19:38] Some days later,

[00:19:39] my little brother woke up

[00:19:40] and began screaming

[00:19:41] and crying.

[00:19:42] I asked him

[00:19:43] when we were alone

[00:19:44] what had happened

[00:19:44] that made him so scared

[00:19:45] and he told me

[00:19:47] that he too

[00:19:47] saw Fester Adams.

[00:19:49] I felt so scared

[00:19:50] that he had seen the man

[00:19:51] because I never told

[00:19:52] my brother

[00:19:53] about my experience

[00:19:54] prior to this

[00:19:55] happening to him,

[00:19:56] so there was no way

[00:19:57] that he could have known

[00:19:58] to say that.

[00:19:59] I told him then

[00:20:00] that I see him too

[00:20:01] and that he pops up

[00:20:03] next to my bed.

[00:20:04] We shared this fear

[00:20:05] for a long time

[00:20:06] until it stopped

[00:20:07] as the years went by.

[00:20:08] I still find it

[00:20:09] so creepy and weird

[00:20:10] that we saw

[00:20:11] the same apparition

[00:20:12] of a bald man

[00:20:13] looking like Fester Adams

[00:20:14] and we still talk

[00:20:15] about this story

[00:20:16] to this day.

[00:20:18] Another experience

[00:20:19] that we shared

[00:20:20] seemed to be

[00:20:21] a lot darker.

[00:20:22] In 1998

[00:20:23] or 1999,

[00:20:25] we shared a bedroom

[00:20:26] separated by drywall

[00:20:27] that hadn't had a door

[00:20:28] fixed onto it yet,

[00:20:30] so they were small rooms

[00:20:31] made from one big room

[00:20:33] with a wide open doorway

[00:20:34] between them

[00:20:35] on one end of the room.

[00:20:37] One night,

[00:20:38] my brother told me

[00:20:39] to quit crawling

[00:20:39] around the doorway

[00:20:40] and trying to scare him.

[00:20:42] I was laying in my bed

[00:20:43] and I told him

[00:20:44] that I wasn't.

[00:20:45] Right when I said this though,

[00:20:47] his TV turned on

[00:20:48] to that 90s

[00:20:49] snowy popcorn static

[00:20:50] without anyone touching it.

[00:20:52] This began happening

[00:20:54] frequently

[00:20:54] and when we told

[00:20:55] our parents about it,

[00:20:56] they said that it was

[00:20:57] just an old house

[00:20:58] and an old TV.

[00:21:00] I still can't shake

[00:21:01] the feeling

[00:21:02] that it was more than that.

[00:21:04] Shortly after this,

[00:21:05] I started seeing

[00:21:06] apparitions

[00:21:07] of black dogs

[00:21:08] with red eyes

[00:21:09] in his room.

[00:21:10] I was so scared

[00:21:11] seeing them

[00:21:11] that I would run

[00:21:12] with all my might

[00:21:13] to get anything

[00:21:14] out of our rooms.

[00:21:15] I would run up

[00:21:16] and down the stairs

[00:21:16] as fast as possible

[00:21:18] and hold my breath

[00:21:19] when walking

[00:21:19] into the room

[00:21:20] for fear the dogs

[00:21:21] would chase me

[00:21:22] or get me.

[00:21:24] I truly believed

[00:21:25] that something dark

[00:21:26] was happening

[00:21:27] in his half of the room.

[00:21:29] This leads into

[00:21:30] a few months later

[00:21:31] when my brother

[00:21:32] told my mom

[00:21:32] that something

[00:21:33] was sitting on his chest.

[00:21:35] And trying to choke

[00:21:36] him in bed.

[00:21:37] My mother must have

[00:21:38] felt something too

[00:21:39] because normally

[00:21:40] she would explain away

[00:21:41] our experiences

[00:21:42] and she would tell us

[00:21:43] that we were just

[00:21:44] having a nightmare.

[00:21:45] However,

[00:21:46] she did begin

[00:21:46] to act on this.

[00:21:48] When my brother

[00:21:49] asked my mother

[00:21:49] to hang a cross

[00:21:50] above his bed

[00:21:51] on the wall,

[00:21:52] she did.

[00:21:53] She had also given him

[00:21:54] rosaries to take to bed

[00:21:56] and she would pray

[00:21:57] with him.

[00:21:58] Overall,

[00:21:59] maybe a lot of this

[00:22:00] comes from childhood fears.

[00:22:02] I really don't know,

[00:22:03] but I do believe

[00:22:04] that children

[00:22:04] are more sensitive

[00:22:05] to paranormal experiences

[00:22:07] sometimes.

[00:22:08] I would love to know

[00:22:09] if anyone else

[00:22:10] has had similar experiences

[00:22:11] to these

[00:22:12] as children.

[00:22:13] As an adult now,

[00:22:15] they still scare

[00:22:15] the daylights out of me

[00:22:16] to relive them

[00:22:17] in my mind

[00:22:18] or even talking

[00:22:19] about them

[00:22:20] to my brother.

[00:22:22] Thank you for reading

[00:22:23] and thank you for having

[00:22:24] a platform for us

[00:22:25] to share our experiences.

[00:22:27] A lot of these

[00:22:28] I had blocked out

[00:22:28] of my mind

[00:22:29] as I grew older,

[00:22:30] so it feels good

[00:22:31] to share these stories

[00:22:33] with others.

[00:22:37] I hope you enjoyed

[00:22:38] tonight's episode

[00:22:39] and before I go,

[00:22:40] I'd like to thank

[00:22:41] Zinnia,

[00:22:42] Sissy,

[00:22:43] Low Gray,

[00:22:44] Nick,

[00:22:45] Indigo,

[00:22:46] and Casey

[00:22:47] for coming forward

[00:22:48] with their experiences.

[00:22:50] And if you'd like

[00:22:51] to share your paranormal

[00:22:52] encounter

[00:22:52] or learn more about

[00:22:53] supporting the show,

[00:22:54] you can find all my contact

[00:22:56] and support information
