[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Hello Nic, thanks again for your podcast.

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: One of your listener stories in episode 395 helped me understand what I might have encountered

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_00]: three days prior.

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_00]: It all started in the wee hours of Sunday when I woke up being pushed across my bed.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_00]: As I turned around to get back to the left side of my full-sized bed, I discovered a

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_00]: hairy creature standing beside it.

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It was about six and a half feet tall, standing on two legs, and it had a muscular upper body.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't see its eyes or anything of its face though, but it did have long gray fur

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_00]: all over its face and body.

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_00]: It looked a bit like a mini Bigfoot, but with a smaller head.

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen anything like it.

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_00]: You must know that waking me up in the middle of the night is a bad idea, and keeping me

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_00]: awake is even worse.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So I threw an angry glance at the creature, turned my back to it, and tried to go back

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_00]: to sleep.

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_00]: It must be a dream, I thought.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_00]: But it wasn't.

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_00]: The creature then pushed me again, and after a short flash of fear, I angrily demanded

[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_00]: for it to stop.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I crawled back to my side of the bed once again, and I closed my eyes.

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_00]: When the creature dared to push me a third time, I freaked out, and I yelled,

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: F off!

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_00]: At that same time, I noticed that there was another entity next to the creature.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_00]: This entity was quite bright and transparent, and I immediately knew that it was there to

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_00]: protect me, and to help me get rid of this other creature.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: My last thought before falling back asleep was that the hairy creature was just too stupid

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_00]: to throw me out of bed.

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Now I must admit that the next morning I was a bit confused about my behavior.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I should have been scared to death, and why had I turned my back to the creature?

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_00]: However, I think that not showing fear was actually the right thing to do, since those

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_00]: creatures thrive on the fear that they cause.

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_00]: That same evening, one of my bunnies started to behave strangely.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_00]: He intently watched the hallway, got scared, thumped, and then fled into the enclosure

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_00]: in the living room.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_00]: A few hours later, when I was about to close the shutters in my living room, I noticed

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: a rabbit-like shadow figure hiding next to my couch.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I briefly looked away to make sure that my bunnies were still in their enclosure and

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_00]: that it was closed, but when I turned back around, the shadow figure was gone.

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_00]: At the time, I brushed it off as misperception, and I went to bed.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_00]: While trying to fall asleep, I wondered if it could have been one of my late bunnies,

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: as the rabbit ears had been clearly discernible.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_00]: However, any explanation that I tried to find felt wrong.

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_00]: The shadow figure was much too black and solid for a spirit of a deceased being.

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_00]: That much I knew.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_00]: The next morning, I decided to clear my apartment, copying the procedure a medium had used one

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_00]: and a half years ago.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I think I succeeded in getting rid of anything since my bunnies' behavior went back to normal

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_00]: afterwards.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: That is until I opened the bathroom window because something out there still seemed to

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_00]: be scaring them.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: That night, I went into my bathroom without turning on the lights.

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I opened the window, and I watched the night, wondering what could have scared my bunnies.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Then I saw it.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_00]: A little red eye in the ivy right opposite my window.

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Just when I was about to dismiss it as a reflection of the street light, the eye blinked and then

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_00]: moved.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I stared at it for several minutes, and it moved again, disappeared, and then came back.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_00]: At that moment in my mind, I created a fence of blue fire around my entire apartment to

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_00]: prevent anything from accessing my apartment.

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know that I might have witnessed a puka until episode 395 of your podcast aired

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_00]: on Wednesday, when you said that a puka could have the shape of a horse or a rabbit.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Last night, I saw the red eye once again outside my bathroom window, so I repeated my command

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_00]: to stay away and to not dare scare my bunnies ever again.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I also renewed the blue fire, just to be sure.

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if the hairy creature and the puka belong together, or if those two encounters

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_00]: were just a coincidence.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Did the red eye outside the window belong to a puka?

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure about that either, but my gut feeling says it does, and I'm glad that there

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_00]: was some sort of guardian angel there to help me with the hairy creature.

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I have many, many paranormal stories I could tell, but I want to start with this one.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm really hoping to maybe find answers through someone with similar experiences.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I think most people on the podcast feel the same way.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I do have video evidence of what I'm about to tell you and all your listeners, and I

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_00]: will add the link to my YouTube channel that has the video in question.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Back when I was in high school in Rhode Island, my friends and I were very much into doing

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_00]: ghost hunting and all things spooky and paranormal, and I will add more stories about our adventures

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_00]: in the future.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I have always been pretty sensitive when it comes to spiritual things, and I have always

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_00]: been very intrigued by the paranormal.

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_00]: On this night, I was home by myself and my only pet was a grey cat that was outside.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I was lying alone on the couch with just a lamp on, when I started to get this strange

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_00]: feeling and something told me that I should take a video.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_00]: So I took out my flip phone, and it wasn't the best quality mind you.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I started to take video and pan the room side to side very slowly, and I made no sounds.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I felt like I was going to catch something, but I wasn't sure what, I just knew that I

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_00]: had this really odd feeling.

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't necessarily a bad feeling, just a strange one that made me feel slightly uncomfortable.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_00]: So I finished taking the video and I watched it back, only to find nothing in the video.

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I was kind of bummed and confused about what I was feeling, but I decided not to delete

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_00]: it for some reason, and it stayed on my phone for months.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Then, about 5 months later I was going through my phone and deleting things to clear up more

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_00]: space when I came across the video.

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I felt like I should watch it one last time before deleting it, and I'm so glad that I

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_00]: did, because what I discovered next left me shaking and full of excitement and confusion.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_00]: As I watched the video, after a few seconds in, I noticed a white figure jumping across

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_00]: the floor away from the lamp that you can see on the right side of the video.

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Not only that, but as I start to pan to the left in the video, you can see the chair move

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: a little bit.

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Then, as I started to pan the video back to the right, you can see the chair move as if

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_00]: someone is rocking it.

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Then for a brief moment, you can see whatever jumped across the floor poke its head up for

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_00]: just a second, but it is very quick.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Somehow I didn't notice any of this on the day that I took the video.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I showed the video to my friend, and she was just as baffled as I was.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_00]: We were both so excited, and we just didn't have any idea what this thing was.

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_00]: What we did know was that it had crimson red eyes, and seemed to look like a white

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_00]: monkey jumping across the floor.

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Now remember, I said I had a cat, and that she was outside at this time, and that she

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_00]: was dark grey.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever this thing was, was a bright glowing white.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not feel like it was malevolent in any way, but I felt like it wanted me to see it.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_00]: My friend and I did some research and came across something called white monkey, which

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_00]: was some kind of spiritual thing.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Sadly though, I cannot pinpoint the same article again to describe the kind of spirit that

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I came across.

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's something similar to a spirit guide.

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really sure, but I will say that I saw it again in person not too long after

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_00]: discovering this video.

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_00]: My family and that same friend were hiking through the woods, and I trailed off a bit.

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I was surrounded by beautiful trees and foliage, when suddenly I heard some tree brush moving,

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_00]: and I looked up to see that same white monkey-like figure jumping through the trees.

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_00]: As it went from one tree to the next, I literally saw it fade away before getting to the next

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_00]: tree.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I then grabbed my friend to show her what had just happened, and we both got really

[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_00]: excited and felt this rush of energy.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_00]: To be honest, I felt like this being was watching over me if anything.

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't feel threatened by it at all.

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen the creature again since that time, but it crosses my mind every now and

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_00]: then, and it's one of my best paranormal experiences that has the best evidence to go along with

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_00]: it.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm wondering if anyone else has seen anything like it.

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I still don't know for sure what it was that I saw, but it has always remained a mystery

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_00]: to me, and I always wish to know more about that strange experience.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I would love for anyone to reach out to me with similar experiences, or if they know anything

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I enjoy your podcast a lot, so I thought why not share one interesting experience of mine

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_00]: with you and the other listeners.

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Back when I was 12 years old, a friend of mine invited me and three other friends to

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_00]: a sleepover at her parents' house.

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I would like to mention that already before this incident took place, I always felt a

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_00]: bit uneasy in the house whenever I came over to hang out with my friend, especially when

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_00]: we were in her room.

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_00]: So that night, all four of us were chatting deep into the night, as kids of that age do,

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_00]: when the conversation started to focus on a doll that my friend was gifted by her grandmother

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_00]: as a baby.

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_00]: The doll was made of porcelain and was meant to resemble the Austrian empress, Sissi.

[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_00]: The doll was sitting on the dresser, and two of the girls were sitting with their backs

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_00]: to said dresser, and me and my friend were sitting across from them and facing it.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_00]: After some time, I joked around that the doll would creep me out, and I suggested putting

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_00]: it in the cabinet drawer next to the dresser so that I wouldn't feel watched by it anymore.

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_00]: We did exactly that, and the topic of the conversation eventually changed to something

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_00]: else.

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_00]: After some more time passed, one of my friends jokingly said that we should check and see

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_00]: if the doll was still in the drawer.

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_00]: We then opened it, only to find that the doll was no longer in there.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_00]: We searched the entire cabinet plus the entire small room, and eventually we found the doll

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_00]: standing behind the TV, and it looked like it was peeking out at us.

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_00]: It's important to mention that during this whole time, no one left or entered the room,

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_00]: and no one would have been able to move it.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_00]: To this day, I can't explain to myself how this could have happened.

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_00]: We stayed up for the rest of the night in fear of sleeping with the doll present.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_00]: There have also been other times when I slept over there, and I always felt a strange vibe,

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_00]: and other friends even told me that they saw humanoid shadows while going to the restroom

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_00]: at night.

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_00]: The girl living there told me that apparently her mom had also experienced seeing those

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_00]: shadows, and one time even thought she heard her husband calling her from downstairs, while

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_00]: no one else was home.

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_00]: It's also important to mention that this was not an old house.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Hello Nick, I'm from South Africa.

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I have always been a fan of paranormal stuff.

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it is scary, but I can't seem to get enough of it.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_00]: It was around 10pm at night, and I had decided to sleep downstairs on the sofa because my

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_00]: room was temporarily being used as storage for laundry stuff.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_00]: The night was normal as usual, and nothing suspicious happened.

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I laid down on the couch thinking about random tasks I had to complete until I fell asleep.

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I then remember waking up, and immediately heading to the door that leads to the backyard.

[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_00]: But for some reason, I suddenly stopped in my tracks, and I stared dead at the door,

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_00]: which was 5 feet away.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_00]: After some seconds passed, the entire wall and door was turning transparent, going from

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_00]: left to right.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I remember refocusing my attention, and my eyes fell on this jet black shadow lady.

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how I knew that it was a lady, because the shadow had no distinctive features.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_00]: There was no face, hair, or even breasts.

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_00]: It was just a jet black shadow.

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_00]: The hair on my body stood up, and fear covered me from head to toe.

[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't move at all.

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_00]: While standing and staring, it seemed like I was disturbing something that she was doing,

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_00]: because she jerked and slowly took a couple steps back while maintaining eye contact.

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_00]: She then stopped, turned to her left, and continued walking.

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_00]: As soon as she reached my neighbor's door, I ran upstairs and barged in my parents' room,

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_00]: and telling them about the shadow lady, but they told me that I was just dreaming.

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_00]: However, I kept insisting and informing them that the lady was heading to the neighbor's

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_00]: house.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Now, my room is positioned on the right side of the house, which is closer to the backyard,

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_00]: and has a large window overlooking the backyard.

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_00]: My mom eventually gave in, and we went into my room, and we headed for the window.

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_00]: While looking out the window, I could still see the lady, and I even pointed at her, but

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_00]: my mom still couldn't see her.

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_00]: She then called my sister to come and witness what was going on, but she too said that there

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_00]: was no one out there.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_00]: For some odd reason, my mom and my sister could not see the shadow lady, except me.

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Then, however, I woke up on the downstairs couch.

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Apparently, it really had just been a dream, but it felt way too realistic.

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_00]: However, the position of my body had completely changed to a 180.

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_00]: My head was no longer facing the stairs, but instead I was facing the dining room, and

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00]: directly at the door that leads to the backyard.

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_00]: At the time, I thought that it was just another weird dream, but I still told my mom about

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_00]: it, and I have never seen her so scared in my entire life.

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_00]: This is when she told me that she and my dad had a similar dream, but instead of one woman,

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_00]: there were three shadow people, and they were trying to open the door and enter.

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_00]: She told me that they needed permission to enter the house.

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_00]: My dad and my mom had the exact same dream on the exact same nights, for three consecutive

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_00]: days, and they would wake up yelling,

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't open the door.

[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_00]: No.

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I think the shadow lady was trying to open the door, and I caught her, and she moved

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_00]: away.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Something I forgot to add as well was that while she was moving backwards, she was trying

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_00]: to hide her face, which is weird considering that she had no face.

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_00]: It's as if she knew that I would recognize her if we kept eye contact for a longer period

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_00]: of time.

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I do have more stories to tell, including a girl on the sidewalk with no face, a weird

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_00]: creature roar, me predicting how the day would look based on dreams, and also missing time

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_00]: where I apparently disappeared for three to five hours, and then reappeared in a completely

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_00]: different place.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_00]: This actually happened in 1980 or 81 in Twin Falls, Idaho on Blue Lakes Boulevard, which

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_00]: runs north and south through the whole town.

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_00]: My boyfriend and I were pulling out from getting gas, and when we looked up from the stoplight,

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_00]: we saw five different colored disc shapes bouncing back and forth like they were playing.

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I looked at him and he looked at me, and we then looked at the car next to us.

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_00]: They saw them as well, and when the light changed to green, we all followed them.

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_00]: They looked like they were playing with us as we were driving, and probably faster than

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_00]: we should have been going, and at this point we were heading south.

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_00]: We probably followed them for a good two miles, and then they just flew off very fast, and

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_00]: then disappeared.

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_00]: We didn't see any trail like a plane would leave or anything.

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_00]: They just flew south, very fast.

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_00]: It was very strange, and we talked about it for several days, and trying to decide

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_00]: what they were.

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Our next experience comes to us from Diamond, and Diamond's experience is called

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Greys and Sleep Paralysis.

[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Diamond says,

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Hi Nick, I'm a fellow Michigander that loves the podcast and the forum that you've created

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_00]: for people to tell their stories.

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I have a two-part story about seeing the classic grey aliens.

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I have very rarely shared these stories with only very close friends, but I was inspired

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_00]: by you candidly sharing your own sleep paralysis story.

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_00]: In 1994, while I was in my first year of community college, I lived with my aunt and uncle.

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Their children were grown and they had a large empty house with a partial walkout basement

[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_00]: in which I had a bedroom and my own bathroom.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_00]: The rest of the basement was a large rec room with a very open floor plan.

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_00]: It was decked out with 60s and 70s furniture that I thought was very funky and retro.

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I had always loved this space as a kid, and was very happy to have it as my pad as an

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_00]: 18 year old.

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I had been living there for about three months when I woke up one morning, and I couldn't

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_00]: really remember going to bed.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_00]: It felt odd, but I shrugged it off, and I went about my day.

[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It was three days later when I had come home from classes and I made my way down the steps,

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_00]: and this is when I felt a dread fear to be in the basement alone.

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I turned on all the overhead fluorescent lights, which I never did in such a large basement,

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_00]: and an instant later, I had a mental flash of a classic grey alien standing in the middle

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_00]: of the basement.

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_00]: It was like a memory raced to the surface of my mind like a bubble, and then burst.

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_00]: The memory seemed to be so real and vivid, but after a time, I dismissed it as being

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_00]: an overactive imagination.

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_00]: But I never felt comfortable in that basement ever again, and I haven't been down there ever

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_00]: since I moved out, a couple months later.

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I always wondered if I had some sort of missing time that night that I couldn't remember going

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_00]: to bed, and if this had something to do with the odd memory flash of the grey.

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Days later.

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_00]: The second experience was many years later.

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I own a house about five blocks from where my aunt and uncle still live, as I have always

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_00]: loved this neighborhood in Grand Rapids.

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_00]: It was 2022 and I was now 46 years old.

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I had begun having heart troubles, and I had been diagnosed with serious aortic blockage.

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I was having regular chest pains, and I was awaiting open-heart bypass surgery, which

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_00]: was a scary prospect, if not paranormal.

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I awoke around 4am, and I was having chest pains and numbness in my arm, so I took an

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_00]: aspirin and extra blood pressure medicine, and I returned to bed.

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I sat up in bed and read a little to wait for the chest pain to ease, and to make sure

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_00]: that it didn't get worse.

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I live alone, so it would be on me if an emergency call needed to be placed.

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I soon began to feel a little better, but I then found myself in full-blown paralysis.

[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I fought to move and felt completely frozen.

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I was absolutely terrified as I tried to cry out, but then something unthinkable made it

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_00]: even worse.

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_00]: At the corner of my bed in the small hall between the door and the bedroom stood a classic

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_00]: gray alien form, and it was watching me.

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I screamed out with every fiber of my being, but no sounds emerged, and I was completely

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_00]: frozen.

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I could almost feel that this being knew that I was like a pinned bug, and it just continued

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_00]: to stare.

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I pleaded with it inside my head to be left alone.

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_00]: At that moment, I had the oddest thought, as what felt like minutes, dragged on.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Where is Miss Biscuit Zeta Jones when I need her?

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Biscuit is my ill-tempered calico cat who only likes me, and hisses and swats at everyone

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_00]: else.

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_00]: It seemed so strange that I, a full-grown man, was hoping that an 18-pound house cat

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_00]: would come and chase away the being that was standing in my room.

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I continued to rage for a little longer against my imaginary binds, and I was finally able

[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_00]: to move, and when I looked back to where the gray had been standing, it had vanished.

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Now I have only had sleep paralysis that one instance, and even with my heart condition,

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_00]: it never manifested like that before or after.

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I did have my surgery, and I'm feeling fine now, but I don't know if these experiences

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_00]: were real or just manifestations of other stressors.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I do know though that both experiences scared me beyond any terror that I have felt before

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_00]: or after.
