[00:00:01] [SPEAKER_02]: The first time it happened I was sleeping and woke up because I felt a

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Hand on my leg, and I realized that I couldn't move

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And he come across this object on the ground which was the shape of a flying saucer

[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_01]: So he jumped out of his pickup and went down there, and there was four beings laying on the ground

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_00]: When I raised my head back up. I was turning my head and out of my peripheral vision

[00:00:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I seen something hop to a tree and it was tall about seven eight foot tall. It was black real hairy like a gorilla

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to the paranormal mysteries podcast. I am your host Nick Ryan

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Our first story of the day comes from Danny in Australia

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Danny says hi Nick. I recently begun listening to your podcast

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_03]: So many awesome stories. I have been an empath since I was younger and have seen spirits since I was 11

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I would like to tell you one of my stories I

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Was 11 years old at my nanny's house

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I was sitting at the kitchen table playing cards

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_03]: My grandfather was at the pub and my nanny was outside hanging out the wash

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_03]: The kitchen door was shut all of a sudden the door opened and I saw an older woman walk in

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_03]: She walked to the breakfast bench and put her elbows on it. I said hello. She didn't say anything

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_03]: She just looked at me and smiled I called out to my nanny, but she couldn't see me

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_03]: So I got up and walked past the woman and opened the door to call my nanny

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_03]: When I turned back in the kitchen, the woman was gone

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I asked my nanny if she had a friend over and she said no

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I told her of the woman I saw and she said it's okay spirits won't hurt you

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Later that evening. We were watching TV

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I was looking through one of my nanny's albums because I didn't like the show that was on

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_03]: All of a sudden I turned the page and there was a photograph of the woman that I saw. I said nanny

[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the woman she smiled and said that's your great-grandma

[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_03]: So I met my great-grandmother after death. No wonder she looked so proud

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you. Our next story comes from Devin Devin says I have several stories that have happened to me

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Some I remember well others not too well, so some will be longer than others

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Story one when I was little I was playing in the living room while my mother was on the phone

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_03]: After a while she got off the phone

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Just a few seconds later a door slammed upstairs

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And we both decided to go up and check it out

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_03]: When we got upstairs my bedroom door was shut when I knew I had left it open

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Because I was just up there to grab a toy

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_03]: We didn't witness anything else that day

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Story two I

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Had gone into the kitchen one night to grab something I had turned and for some strange reason

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I found myself looking into the laundry room. I saw a black shadow of a man with a top hat

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I knew it wasn't my shadow because it was taller than I was and I wasn't wearing a top hat a

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Few years later. I was at my grandmother's house, and I saw the same dark figure

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I was so confused because I knew what I was seeing but I couldn't understand why I was seeing it there

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Then there was one night

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I was talking to my grandma and told her about the times I saw the shadow and she knew exactly what I was talking about

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_03]: She had told me that it was Fred and that she had seen him, too

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I asked how and she explained that they used to have a mirror that faced the front door to see who was entering the house

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_03]: There would be times they would look up and catch a shadow in the mirror exactly like I had described

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Story three I was living in Hastings, Nebraska

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And I had a room in the attic up there a door was on the far end

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Blocking off the furnace the rest of the upstairs could be another room when one night

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I was fast asleep

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was awakened out of a dead sleep by something grabbing my foot and pulling me I shot up and wasn't sure of what

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Happened I then saw the lights turn on under the door on the far side of the room

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: About that time I heard scratching down in the kitchen which was right at the bottom of my stairs

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I worked up the nerve to run through the kitchen and then ran into my parents room and told them about what had happened

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I was told to just go back to sleep in my siblings room

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Because they were sleeping in my parents room because they were very young and didn't like sleeping in the dark

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I finally fell asleep in my sister's bed, and I remember having a dream of being with a friend

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't sure why I was having this dream

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Then the friend in the dream hit me in the chest and that's when I woke up because I was hit in the chest

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And it felt like someone was above me and hit me right when I was hit in my dream

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_03]: story 4

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_03]: There was one night when there was a bad thunderstorm rolling in I was living in the country at the time

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And I had a friend over at the time

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I was in the kitchen with my mother and friend and I decided I needed to grab something from upstairs

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Which involves me walking through the living room and up the stairs in the living room

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_03]: There was a big window looking out to the driveway and the fields when I walked in the room

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I happened to look out the window and in the driveway there were two little kids holding hands just standing there

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember any detail on their faces or anything

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I just remember seeing them and then I froze and tears started to run down my face due to the fear catching me

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_03]: My friend and mom asked what was going on, but I couldn't seem to talk

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I was just frozen in place pointing out the window

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I was finally able to get myself to move and get upstairs, but I couldn't sleep that night at all

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_03]: story 5

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I was fast asleep one night and I wasn't sure why but I woke up out of a dead sleep

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_03]: And I remember not being able to move or talk. I was frozen

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_03]: That's when a shadow figure across my bedroom caught my eye

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I continued to watch it trying to get myself to be able to move so I could get out of the room

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_03]: But I couldn't move not even my fingers

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I kept watching this shadow and it started to walk toward me and that's when I started to cry

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Because I couldn't scream for help or move. I was frozen and couldn't defend myself

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I was finally able to snap out of it and the shadow just vanished

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Story 6. I was in the car with my mother when I was being weird and my mother and I were joking around

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I was watching the road for a few seconds and saw a figure on the side of the road that looked human-like

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_03]: As we drove past I felt a sharp pain on my arm

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And when I looked down I had a fresh scratch on my arm

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I told my mother and she asked what I did and I said nothing

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I hadn't even touched that area of my arm

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I told her what I saw and how when we drove past it, it happened

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_03]: She wasn't sure what to make of it and still today. I'm not sure what I saw or what happened

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Story 7. I was in an old bedroom of mine when I was home alone

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I was listening to music when I had a weird feeling that I wasn't home alone anymore

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I looked out the window to see if someone was home, but there were no cars

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I then looked out of the room down the hall and that's when I saw a little girl at the end of the hall

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I then rushed back into my bedroom and shut the door. I called my mother to hurry up and get home as soon as possible

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_03]: She got home, but the little girl was gone.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I know I've had other encounters, but I can't remember them at this time

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Our next story of the day comes from Lorraine

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Lorraine says hi Nick. I started listening to the podcast sometime last month

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_03]: My story is what turned me from a skeptic to a believer overnight. It's a bit long, so please bear with me

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_03]: My job at the time of the event that I'm telling you about was at a factory and a popular one

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I had an understanding of the paranormal, but to believe it wasn't in me

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_03]: My schedule was for overnight and I started developing insomnia because of it

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_03]: So most days after I would clock out I'd walk my dog just to clear my head so I could sleep

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_03]: This particular early morning wasn't supposed to be any different, but it ended up changing my opinion really fast

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I had gotten home and I felt tired, but my mind was racing too fast to relax

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_03]: So I went and got my dog his harness and leash

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It made me smile when he looked up at me from his blanket and had gotten up so I could walk him

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_03]: We walked out of the building and on our way to our usual route to walk

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't find anything wrong with my day except for my insomnia that would kick in. I shook it off and just continued to walk

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_03]: We had gotten to the lower side of our route and almost to the corner where I turned to go up and back to my

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_03]: House when I heard it

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It sounded like dogs running from the upper side of the route that made a hill

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_03]: When I turned to see how many there were four dogs of the same breed running toward me and my dog

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_03]: What pissed me off was that these dogs weren't just off leash. They didn't have any harnesses on either

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_03]: My dog being seven at the time still acted like a puppy and tried to hide between my legs

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Which made me even angrier

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I put my dog behind me and I gave a sidewind kick to the dog that was up front of the group and it

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Spun into the other three

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_03]: The owner came down and started getting mad at me and I started screaming at him

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_03]: He finally stopped and told me that my dog was a wuss

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_03]: That's when I felt a small power snap in my body

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And I told him that he should keep his dogs on a freaking leash and that he's not the only one walking his dogs

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And what would he do if something was to happen to one of his dogs?

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Nothing, I thought because it would be his fault for not having a leash or harness on any of them

[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he did that morning a week or so later in the daytime

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I saw the man that owned the four dogs in the park that was in the middle of the highway

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought he was stupid to play with his dogs at that hour as it was rush hour for goodness sake

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Shaking my head. I just kept walking my dog

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Not five minutes later

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I heard a crash and looked one of the man's dogs had gotten hit by an SUV and the SUV kept going

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I was shocked because of what I had warned him about and it ended up happening

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Stunned I began praying for the dog that lost its life because of its owners carelessness

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_03]: When I had gotten back home

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I dug out my phone and googled what it means when what you say ends up coming true and to my surprise

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It's called fork tongue

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_03]: It's believed that those that have events happen after they've spoken about them

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Especially in anger are descended from witches or to be a witch themselves

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I almost dropped my phone after reading it. My mind was blown away, even though it made sense

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I bit my tongue in disbelief

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I told my mom and she told me that she wasn't sure if we were because grandma was vague with family details

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Then again, it could be from my dad's father's family

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Moral of this story is check your family's history because there might be something witchy about them in you

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Thanks for reading this if you do and continue your success on your podcast

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Lorraine I really appreciate you writing in your experience is interesting and it left me with a couple of questions

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I've personally never heard of the term forked tongue being used when describing someone that is a witch or has had family members that were

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_03]: witches

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_03]: The only definition I was familiar with

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Was when describing forked tongue as someone who lies or someone who means one thing but says another in most cases

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I would refer to your phenomenon as being prophetic

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm fascinated by what you found and I'd be interested to know where you found this information

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_03]: As I am always trying to learn more about the paranormal

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you again for writing in our next story of the day comes from champ in Texas

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Champ says hello, Nick. I discovered your show and I enjoy tuning in

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I have often kept the situation to myself due to the fact of how badly this affected me mentally and physically

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Your show has given me the courage to finally tell this story

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_03]: When I was 17 the summer before my senior year of high school

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_03]: My sister and my two young nephews moved into our home in Texas from Florida making it a bit of a crowded adjustment

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_03]: However, I did enjoy having other people live upstairs with me as a child

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I had been a skeptic until I often had many paranormal experiences not just at my home

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_03]: But at my friends as well as if this energy was drawn to me

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I often just ignored it as I had never experienced anything negative before until that summer

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_03]: My mom was into the whole binge of going to antique shops all the time and I was often dragged along as well

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_03]: We went to this antique shop in Waxahachie, Texas

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Where I noticed a particular booth selling old photos for $1 and the booth was also closing

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I bought a photo of a sailor that caught my eye and I was just so attracted to it and to this day

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why. I also bought a box from the booth to keep jewelry in

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I remember getting home and setting it on my dresser and putting the photo of the sailor inside. I called him Eddie

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_03]: He just looked like an Eddie to me

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_03]: The experiences started that very night

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I would usually watch TV with my sister and nephews until I got tired enough to go to sleep

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I stumbled into my room and climbed into bed like usual

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I drifted off to sleep, but I awoke to the sailor to the right of my bedside

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I laid there unable to talk or move

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_03]: He rested a hand over my hands and nodded as if telling me go back to sleep

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was immediately able to. The next day I told my sister of my experience

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Lucky that she believed me

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_03]: She also stated she thought Eddie was a positive entity. As I too thought he was positive

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I began talking to him out loud when I would go into my room

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_03]: To make it known I knew and accepted his presence over the next few weeks. His presence became more prominent

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_03]: One night as I played a video game in the upstairs TV room out of the corner of my eye

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I swore I saw him walk into my bedroom

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Another night he paced in front of my bed as I went to sleep

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_03]: The reason I was certain that he did is because my parents room was directly under mine

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_03]: They often complained of hearing the walking in the late hours of the night above them and they swore it was me

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But it was not. On a particular July night the peaceful presence

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I was used to turned into a sinister one. The night after watching movies in my sister's room

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I came to bed expecting to maybe see Eddie and drift off to sleep, but he never came

[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I fell asleep and awoke to the sound of someone sitting on my bed

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_03]: My bed frame was wooden and old and squeaked when you sat on it

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_03]: When I sat up nothing was there. I looked to the front of my bed frame and there stood this creature

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_03]: It had what looked like wet jet-black hair that covered its face and the face was white

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_03]: With no distinct features. It stood at least six feet tall with extra long limbs, but the body was pitch black

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It stared at me and I was overcome with fear and I couldn't scream or hide underneath my covers. It moved swiftly

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Shaking the front of my bed moving quickly from one side to the other

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It went to the right side of my bed and that's when I could see that it had no eyes just empty black pits

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_03]: It moved to the left side of my bed in a split second and got so close to my face

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I could feel its cold breath and it made a loud sucking like noise and

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Disappeared. I was able to move once it left and I was terrified

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I went and slept on my sister's bedroom floor

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I told her what happened and she was very concerned, but we both had no idea how to handle this nor did we want to tell my mother

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_03]: For weeks, I didn't sleep in my own room. And I also had nightmares every time I did sleep

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I had a nightmare so terrifying that I was dragged down my stairs by an invisible force and thrown off and I woke up with bruises

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_03]: My nephews began to complain of hearing knocking on the walls in their own room

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I began to be terrified of even sleeping

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_03]: My mother soon caught on and was upset that I wasn't sleeping in my room and forced me to sleep there

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Where the entity appeared again just as I knew it would but this time Eddie did too

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It seemed as though they were fighting right in front of my bed, but everything moved so quickly

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't decide if it was real or just sleep deprivation

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_03]: The next day I told my sister who finally told my mother everything

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_03]: My mother who's a skeptic said we had to put salt on my windowsill and recite the Lord's Prayer and reclaim my room

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_03]: my mother my sister and I

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Did just that and my mother took Eddie's photo and the jewelry box and I never saw them again

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I was never told how my mother disposed of those items

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_03]: But I just know that she did and I never saw Eddie or the entity again, and that was six years ago

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I never told anyone this until now to this day

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know exactly what the entity was and I never bothered to look it up just because I didn't want to open up old wounds

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for giving me the outlet to do so before I continue

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Tiffany calls their story the old house and clock

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Tiffany says hi Nick. I just discovered your paranormal mysteries podcast today on Spotify

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And I've been listening to it all day

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Hearing other people share their stories made me feel compelled to share mine as well

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not one. I often talk about because I get goosebumps and I still feel fear every time I think back on it

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Even though i'm 23 now

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_03]: When I was five years old, I moved into my grandparents house along with my mother and two half brothers

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I lived there until I was about 13

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Their house was incredibly old horrifically old

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It looked more like a large abandoned shack than it did an actual home

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know much about the history of the house

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_03]: But I do know that a relative of mine. I believe it was a great-great-grandmother

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Definitely someone I never met died in the corner of one of the rooms that I ended up sleeping in for a while

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I noticed strange occurrences soon after moving in even though I was only five

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_03]: The first experience I ever had took place while I was lying next to my mom in bed at a very late hour

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Perhaps midnight or about 1 a.m. I believe but it could have been even later

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I was having trouble getting to sleep that night for some reason and then out of the blue

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I heard a man's voice from across the room. I soon heard other voices as well

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It sounded like the voices of children

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I remember being unable to understand what they were saying, but it sounded as if a father and his children were playing together

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_03]: This went on for what felt like hours, though. I'm not sure how long it actually was

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_03]: The most frightening part happened when the voices stopped

[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Moments after I could no longer hear the playful interactions. My mom woke up suddenly gasped and grabbed her chest

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_03]: She looked at me frantically and told me that someone had just grabbed her arm

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Whenever I was in a room alone at the house, I felt incredibly uncomfortable

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_03]: The house always felt so eerie as if someone was always with you

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Watching you it felt like that even in broad daylight. I have plenty of instances

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I could relay to you, but i'm choosing to relay a few more instances that felt the most menacing

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_03]: One night my mother had fallen asleep in a chair in the living room and at that time I slept on our living room couch

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_03]: My mother had her own room that I used to share with her the one I mentioned in my last story

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But she didn't like to sleep in there

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_03]: One of my brothers came out of his room late one night to use the restroom which was in the hall past where I slept

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_03]: The door to his bedroom lined up perfectly with the door to the hall

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And my mother's eerie bedroom was on the other side of the hall. It did not have a door

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_03]: When my brother started to come out of his room, he stopped in the doorway and said my name

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Sitting up I asked what he wanted and he asked me where's mom

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I told him that she was asleep in the chair across the room

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_03]: He then went silent and kept staring down the hallway

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I asked him what was wrong and he told me that he just watched someone walk around our mother's bed

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Struck with fear. We both stayed in the living room for a few more moments not wanting to go check the bedroom

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Eventually, we mustered up the courage but when we entered the room and turned on the lights, no one was there

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_03]: The room my mom was so afraid to sleep in understandably

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Eventually became my oldest brother's room

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_03]: We had another family member move in with us and because of this we decided to build onto our house

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: We added an extra room beside my brother's room

[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_03]: My uncle moved in there but was often away due to his job as a truck driver

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_03]: While hanging out in my brother's new room one afternoon. I suddenly heard noises coming from my uncle's room

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I knew he was away on a work trip and I also knew his door was locked when he was away

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I approached his door and heard what sounded like the tv

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I suppose it had suddenly turned on

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I went to get one of my brothers to investigate it with me

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_03]: When we both returned to my uncle's door, we listened to the sounds for a few moments

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And then suddenly we saw a shadow pacing my uncle's room

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: It walked back and forth in front of his bed until it eventually sat down on his bed

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_03]: We saw the shadow rise and we heard the bed creak down with pressure

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Terrified and confused we ran to my grandfather's room to tell him what we'd seen

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_03]: He unlocked the door to my uncle's room with a spare key he had and when we went inside no one was there

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_03]: We checked for signs of a break-in but did not see any and the window was locked from the inside

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_03]: The tv was still playing though

[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_03]: The night that haunts me the most however took place in the living room

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_03]: One night at bedtime when I was about 12, I was lying on the couch preparing for sleep

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I never slept well in that house

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I never felt like I was alone and I was always too scared to close my eyes

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_03]: This night in particular I felt even more afraid than usual

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Although nothing in particular was happening around me. I felt a sense of dread and fear

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_03]: I spent that entire night fighting sleep afraid of what might happen once I closed my eyes

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Unknowingly my eyes eventually closed and I began falling asleep when suddenly I felt something pushing my head into my pillow

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I was lying on my back, but I felt a force over my face almost as if someone was trying to suffocate me

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: When I opened my eyes, I saw a quickly fading figure standing right beside me close to my head

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't incredibly pronounced. It was somewhat misty not like a shadow person

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I watched it fade and spent the rest of the night fighting sleep even harder

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Interestingly enough my family owned this old clock

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_03]: The clock hung up on the wall in our living room and on it was a picture of Jesus from the waist up

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You'd think that such an image would be a calming presence, but I blame a lot of the activity in the house on this clock

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_03]: It was one of those pictures that looks like its eyes are watching you when you walk in front of it

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone in the house acknowledged how much it seemed that way

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I blame the clock for some things because the clock in particular always made me feel incredibly paranoid and uncomfortable

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_03]: At night since I had started sleeping in the living room. I would often stare at it making sure it didn't move

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I always feared that when I wasn't looking at it, it was turned watching me

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_03]: One night I got so sick of the clock that I asked my grandfather if we could take it down

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_03]: He agreed and moved it into his bedroom

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_03]: After that, it seemed like the house went quiet at least on my end

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_03]: A month or more later though. It's hard to remember some exact timelines, but I know at least a month had passed

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I came home from school to see the clock hung back up on the living room wall

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't ask my grandfather why he'd hung it back up or if he even had but I felt so dismayed

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Immediately after the clock was rehung the living room felt off again

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Things continued happening once more such as disembodied voices

[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Sounds of someone rummaging through drawers across the room and eerie feelings of being watched

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I hated that clock and I hated that house

[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to say thanks for taking the time to read my stories. I have so many more but this was already long enough as is
