[00:00:06] We're listening to the archive, a glimpse into the past of paranormal mysteries.
[00:00:21] It's no mystery that every part of the world has its share of legends, and it's not uncommon to have multiple locations with the same folklore but different origin stories.
[00:00:32] I bring this up because a couple of tonight's tales involve encounters with beings that are not only well known within the originating states or countries, but throughout the surrounding region as well.
[00:00:43] From the weeping woman known as La Llorona to the Pigman of Indiana, tonight's episode is a mixture of strange occurrences, mysterious entities, and unidentified creatures.
[00:01:26] Welcome to the Paranormal Mysteries Podcast, and thank you for being here. I am your host, Nick Ryan.
[00:01:33] Our first story of the night comes from Ashley.
[00:01:36] Ashley shared three experiences in a past episode regarding a visitation from a great-grandfather,
[00:01:42] creepy phantom breathing, and a strange red light that loomed in the forest.
[00:01:47] After contacting Ashley and asking for any further information regarding these incidents or other additional encounters, this is what Ashley had to say.
[00:01:57] I've had strange dreams my whole life. My grandmother says my mother and I have the gift of seeing.
[00:02:03] But in correlation to that night, no. I just remember it like it was yesterday.
[00:02:09] However, since you asked, I just remembered this one incident that happened about a year ago.
[00:02:14] My wife and I don't really talk about it, because we don't know what to make of it.
[00:02:19] Then, several months ago, I heard stories on here about missing time, and I realized that's what the situation was.
[00:02:27] Here's what happened.
[00:02:29] One night, my wife and I were driving down Interstate 20, east from Dallas, when I saw a calm but piercing white light.
[00:02:36] It was too large and bright to be a star, so I asked my wife what she thought it was.
[00:02:42] She said she didn't know, and we continued to drive.
[00:02:45] As I continued, I kept looking up through the sunroof at it.
[00:02:49] It was strange and never seemed to move but remained in sight.
[00:02:53] Never going behind clouds or anything.
[00:02:55] When I first noticed it, we were just outside of a small town named Forney.
[00:03:00] We drove for about five minutes, and I told my wife to look up at it again to see if I was tripping.
[00:03:07] She then focuses even harder to see what it could be, but still nothing.
[00:03:11] At this time, I realized that we're passing by a sign that says Toll 49, and I know that there's no way we could have made it that far in just a few minutes.
[00:03:21] I asked my wife if she knew where we were, and she stated,
[00:03:24] Well, we just passed that under that bridge in Forney, so probably about Terrell.
[00:03:30] I pointed to the upcoming entrance ramp to Toll 49, and she looked as confused as I, and asked where we were.
[00:03:36] I told her about an hour from where we thought.
[00:03:40] We both started rambling off landmarks we normally pass, and asking if the other remembered passing them.
[00:03:46] Neither of us could.
[00:03:48] Weirded out and scared about how we could drive an hour and not remember anything,
[00:03:53] we just stopped talking about it, cranked up the music, and hightailed it the rest of the way to our destination.
[00:04:03] Our next story of the night comes from Zach. Zach's story is called,
[00:04:07] Whistle.
[00:04:08] Zach says,
[00:04:09] I started listening to your podcast about eight months ago, and since then, me and my friend have experienced something on our way to school that we can't explain.
[00:04:18] We were walking down my street to get to our bus when we heard a whistle, and there was no one else that we could see.
[00:04:25] We heard it a few times on the same street at the same time.
[00:04:30] One time I turned around and saw what I believe is a shadow person across the street and walk.
[00:04:35] Now, all this could be summed up to a person, but both me and my friend have heard the whistle at night, in our houses.
[00:04:43] She heard hers around 9pm.
[00:04:46] She has told me it sounded like the whistle she made when she tried to replicate the whistle we had heard.
[00:04:52] She was just about to go to bed and found herself too scared to sleep for a few hours, choosing to read instead.
[00:04:59] I have heard the whistle many other times at night, but much later.
[00:05:03] First time was around 12.45, and I had my left ear on my pillow, when all of a sudden I heard the whistle only in my left ear, even when I moved it.
[00:05:13] Most of the time I will hear it around 12.45, but one other time I heard it around 11.30.
[00:05:19] All the same story, usually only being able to hear it in one ear.
[00:05:24] My friend would like me to add that she has felt like she was being followed and was hearing the whistle before even getting to my house.
[00:05:32] In January of 2020, we continued to hear it, but only sparsely.
[00:05:37] This continued until the middle of February, when we stopped hearing it.
[00:05:41] I would just like to say thanks for the podcast and giving me a place to share my story, and I have many others that I would love to share at a later time.
[00:05:50] Zach
[00:05:54] Our next story of the night comes from Evangelina.
[00:05:58] Evangelina says,
[00:05:59] Hi Nick. I found your podcast while in self-quarantine.
[00:06:03] After listening to an absurd amount of listener stories in a day, I decided to try and send some more stories, coming from both my mother and myself.
[00:06:11] Sorry in advance for the lengthy writing.
[00:06:14] So, for a little background, my mother was born in a Guatemalan household that was extremely religious.
[00:06:20] Her family heavily believed in the paranormal, hell and heaven, and everything in between.
[00:06:25] The first story has to do with the folk tale of La Llorona, or the Weeping Woman.
[00:06:32] Growing up in Central America, this is a very well-known legend.
[00:06:36] For anyone unfamiliar, it's basically the story of a woman who ended up drowning her children after finding out about the infidelity of her husband.
[00:06:44] Legend tells, she goes around crying,
[00:06:47] Mininos, or My Children, and kidnaps young ones to trade for the souls of her dead children.
[00:06:54] On this particular evening, my mom and her aunt Veronica went out to visit some friends a few blocks away.
[00:07:01] They came back around 12am, and finally made their way to their rooms at about 3am.
[00:07:06] The way her grandma's house is set up, you can see up the street when you go to the makeshift second story.
[00:07:12] My mother recalls walking up the brick stairs and hearing a quiet whimper that continuously became louder until she was able to make out the words,
[00:07:22] Mininos, faintly.
[00:07:24] Take into account that everyone in the house at this time was asleep.
[00:07:29] Finally, getting a bad feeling, she says she saw a slim woman in a dirty white dress floating up the paved road.
[00:07:37] In shock, she ran back down and told her grandmother, to which she said that it was because the witching hour was upon them,
[00:07:46] a time of the day that the veil between life and death is the thinnest,
[00:07:50] and to this day she is persistent that she saw the weeping woman.
[00:07:55] The second story I have is one of my own.
[00:07:59] As a young child, I have never been scared of monsters under the bed or demons in the closet like most kids are.
[00:08:06] I have had no trouble going to sleep in dark rooms.
[00:08:09] We had just moved from California to Florida, and we finally got the furniture into all of the rooms,
[00:08:15] and my bed was facing directly towards the closet.
[00:08:19] Every night, I was sure to close my closet, a habit I picked up as soon as we moved into the new house.
[00:08:25] My mom questioned why I kept it closed, because before moving, I never truly cared whether it was open or closed.
[00:08:33] Along with wanting it closed, I had began to get sleep paralysis almost every night.
[00:08:39] I felt as though someone was pushing up on the mattress from underneath the bed,
[00:08:43] and as soon as that feeling went away, a dark figure manifested at the foot of my bed,
[00:08:48] and I would hear a sound like a thick liquid being splashed around until I snapped out of it.
[00:08:54] My dog, who very seldom barks or gets scared, would stare at my closet,
[00:09:00] then run under my bed every single night at around 2 or 3 in the morning.
[00:09:05] Around the time of my birthday, my grandmother came out to visit, and she stayed in my room.
[00:09:10] She told my mom that when she was staying with us, my dog at around 2 or 3 in the morning,
[00:09:16] started aggressively barking at my closet.
[00:09:19] Something out of the norm for her, because once again, she is very well behaved and overall quiet.
[00:09:25] I had not known this fact until a few months later.
[00:09:28] After telling my mom everything that was happening,
[00:09:31] she told me that we were going to bless the house.
[00:09:34] We went through the whole house, and did my room last.
[00:09:37] In order to bless a house, you have to open all the windows to allow any negative energies out.
[00:09:44] I recall sitting on my bed as my mother recited a verse from the Bible,
[00:09:48] and adding on the end,
[00:09:50] whatever is in this room, in this closet that is tormenting my daughter, needs to leave now.
[00:09:57] Waving her hand from the closet to the window, we both got immediate chills.
[00:10:02] Something that had not happened in any other room except mine.
[00:10:06] Since that day, I haven't had any more accounts of anything in my room,
[00:10:10] and everything has gone back to how it was before we moved.
[00:10:14] I would love to know what you and your listeners have to say about our experiences.
[00:10:19] They have chilled me to the core since day one.
[00:10:22] If you are reading this, thank you.
[00:10:24] And I hope all is well.
[00:10:26] Our next story of the night comes from Lauren.
[00:10:32] Lauren calls her story,
[00:10:34] Haunted by a friend.
[00:10:36] Lauren says,
[00:10:37] Hey Nick, I wanted to email you because I haven't heard too many positive encounters with spirits,
[00:10:42] and I think everyone will enjoy this.
[00:10:44] Keep up the great work.
[00:10:46] Anyway, on to my story.
[00:10:48] My family and I invited a stranger to live with us back in November.
[00:10:53] I know, sounds crazy, but my best friend and her children also lived in our house too.
[00:10:58] This was her boyfriend.
[00:10:59] We'll call him Sam for privacy.
[00:11:02] Sam was an amazing guy.
[00:11:04] Extremely sarcastic and always cracking a joke.
[00:11:07] He went from a stranger to a full-blown family member in a few short weeks.
[00:11:12] It was so odd for my husband and me because we are very wary of people.
[00:11:16] We were so drawn to him.
[00:11:18] Our children were drawn to him.
[00:11:20] He was our best friend.
[00:11:22] Sam had suicidal thoughts.
[00:11:24] My husband and I convinced him to get help because both of us have been there.
[00:11:28] But due to Christmas and the new year, all psychiatric offices were closed.
[00:11:34] He promised us he would hang in there and that he was fine.
[00:11:37] Three days later, Sam left for work because his Christmas break was over.
[00:11:42] We got the call later that day that he had committed suicide and wasn't coming home.
[00:11:48] Sam knew that I was a believer in all things paranormal.
[00:11:51] We actually had a discussion one night in my garage about it.
[00:11:55] He laughed and joked about how he'd definitely haunt me if anything ever happened to him.
[00:12:00] I told him that he better.
[00:12:02] Fast forward to a month after his death.
[00:12:04] I'm vacuuming my living room and I see something move out of the corner of my eye.
[00:12:10] I turned off the vacuum.
[00:12:11] I knew everyone was outside enjoying the weather, so I knew that I was alone.
[00:12:15] I shrugged it off because that type of thing happens to me often.
[00:12:20] I turned the corner to walk into my kitchen and there he was.
[00:12:24] Sam was a transparent mist, but I could see he had a gray short-sleeved shirt and khaki pants on.
[00:12:30] He also had a ball cap on.
[00:12:32] I could not see his feet.
[00:12:34] He was floating, but was still his normal height.
[00:12:38] Sam did not look at me.
[00:12:39] He reached for the doorknob to our garage door like he was heading out for a smoke,
[00:12:44] like it was just any old day.
[00:12:46] I was speechless.
[00:12:47] I was overcome with a warmth I can't even describe.
[00:12:51] It was a very loving feeling, but like a big hug.
[00:12:54] Before I could get any words out, he was gone.
[00:12:57] Once I got my thoughts together, I started screaming in joy and crying.
[00:13:02] I ran outside and told everyone.
[00:13:04] They believed me.
[00:13:06] All I could do was cry and shout.
[00:13:08] He said he'd haunt me.
[00:13:09] I saw him, guys.
[00:13:10] I finally saw him.
[00:13:12] Side note.
[00:13:13] The outfit he was wearing was the same exact outfit that he was wearing in a picture with a poem on it
[00:13:18] that was given out at his celebration of life.
[00:13:22] I will let you know if Sam makes more contact.
[00:13:25] Thanks for reading.
[00:13:26] Have a wonderful day.

[00:14:04] And I'll be right back after these brief messages.
[00:14:07] Our next story of the night comes from Luke.
[00:14:15] Luke calls their story, Pig Man or Dog Man?
[00:14:19] Luke says, I love the show and I have a story.
[00:14:22] However, this story contributes to some of your earlier shows, especially about the Michigan Dog Man.
[00:14:29] Then, before continuing with his story, Luke then includes the backstory and legend of the Pig Man, and it goes like this.
[00:14:37] There was once an elderly couple who lived happily in central Indiana.
[00:14:41] They were originally married in their early twenties, but for one reason or another, they were never able to have a child.
[00:14:48] After close to 40 years of marriage, the woman became pregnant for the first time.
[00:14:53] Nine months later, she gave birth to a boy.
[00:14:56] Needless to say, there were complications in the pregnancy.
[00:14:59] Most notably, the boy was born with a nasal deformity, which made his nose look piggish.
[00:15:05] The first few years of the boy's life passed in relative happiness.
[00:15:09] He had trouble in school with the other kids, but he was loved at home.
[00:15:14] The family was happy.
[00:15:16] Around the boy's 12th birthday, his mother became ill and passed away.
[00:15:20] She was in her early seventies, so she was more vulnerable to sickness than most.
[00:15:25] The boy was now left with just his father, who was also in his early seventies.
[00:15:30] After the passing of his wife of nearly 50 years, the boy's father became heart-sick and stopped eating.
[00:15:37] Within a month, the father had passed away too.
[00:15:40] The boy was now alone.
[00:15:43] With his father's corpse still in the house, the boy became aware of the decision he was faced with.
[00:15:49] He could either wait for the authorities to come and take him to a foster home or orphanage, or run away.
[00:15:55] The boy chose to run away.
[00:15:57] He chose to live in the wild.
[00:15:58] The boy chose to find water when he was thirsty, forage and kill when he was hungry, and start a fire when he needed warmth.
[00:16:06] The boy was known to break into barns and sleep on people's lands.
[00:16:10] He became known as the pig man, and most children growing up in central Indiana knew about him.
[00:16:16] We teased each other about him.
[00:16:18] When hanging out with a friend out in the country, if you would see a spot in the hay where a sheep or dog had made a bed for itself,
[00:16:25] you would say to your friend,
[00:16:27] pig man slept here last night.
[00:16:29] The pig man is going to get you.
[00:16:31] It was just part of the legend and the lore of the pig man.
[00:16:35] Now, this is Luke's story of his encounter.
[00:16:38] Luke says,
[00:16:39] I was 18.
[00:16:40] I had just graduated from high school, and it was the summer of 2003.
[00:16:45] It was August, and it was hot.
[00:16:47] Air conditioning never stops running, and you stick to the seat kind of hot.
[00:16:51] I was at my girlfriend's house late one night.
[00:16:54] She lived out in the country.
[00:16:56] Around 2am, I decided to make my way back home.
[00:16:59] I said my goodbyes and got into my Ford F-150.
[00:17:03] The truck was old and prone to dying.
[00:17:05] It had 195,000 miles on its odometer, manual windows, manual locks, and a rusted out hole in the passenger side floorboard.
[00:17:14] It was a ride fit for an 18 year old.
[00:17:17] I drove through the country heading home.
[00:17:20] The cornfields had not yet been harvested, so the stalks were at their peak.
[00:17:25] I came to a four-way stop in the middle of nowhere surrounded by cornfields, when all of a sudden my truck died.
[00:17:31] This is not unusual, and so I reacted as any 18 year old might react,
[00:17:36] upon being stranded with a dead truck in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night.
[00:17:40] The reaction involved banging on the dashboard and steering wheel, and using some choice words.
[00:17:46] I was committed to getting the truck restarted.
[00:17:48] I manipulated all three pedals and the stick again and again, confident that I would get the truck restarted.
[00:17:54] At some point, I had hit the brake pedal, which illuminated the road behind me, and accidentally at the same time,
[00:18:01] my peripheral vision had gotten a glimpse of something in the rearview mirror that struck me as alarming.
[00:18:07] I pushed the brake pedal again and looked in the rearview mirror to check my alarm.
[00:18:12] Sure enough, there was a dark, shadowy figure in the middle of the road.
[00:18:16] It was absolutely still.
[00:18:18] It was between 50 to 100 yards behind me.
[00:18:21] Distances are hard to gauge, given the situation, and it was on all fours.
[00:18:26] My initial thought was that there was a big dog in the road.
[00:18:30] I went back to trying to start my truck.
[00:18:33] Moments later, the truck starting situation had not improved.
[00:18:36] I decided to check on the big dog.
[00:18:39] I pushed the brake pedal and looked in the rearview mirror again.
[00:18:43] The big dog was closer.
[00:18:45] I didn't see it move.
[00:18:47] It was still motionless in the middle of the road, but it had cut the distance between me and it by about half.
[00:18:54] It was still dark and shadowy.
[00:18:56] It was still on all fours.
[00:18:58] And it still looked like a big dog, but big.
[00:19:01] Like bigger than I had ever encountered.
[00:19:03] At this point, I became afraid.
[00:19:06] I had a newspaper's headline flash through my mind's eye.
[00:19:10] 18-year-olds slaughtered in the countryside, blood everywhere.
[00:19:13] So I very calmly reached over and rolled up the passenger side window and locked the door.
[00:19:18] And then rolled up the driver's side window and locked the door.
[00:19:22] Very calmly, I set my attention back on starting the truck.
[00:19:26] Now, the next few moments become a blur.
[00:19:29] It might have been a few seconds.
[00:19:30] It might have been a minute.
[00:19:32] I don't know.
[00:19:33] But as I recall, my truck began to give signs that it was about to start.
[00:19:37] I noticed that the big dog was within five yards of the back of my truck.
[00:19:42] My truck then started.
[00:19:43] The big dog then stood up on two legs.
[00:19:47] It stood tall, like one of the biggest men I had ever seen in real life.
[00:19:52] Well over six feet.
[00:19:54] I put my truck in drive, and this thing started moving towards the bed of my truck.
[00:19:59] My tires squealed, and this thing shot off to the left side and ran into a cornfield, as I was now rolling down the road.
[00:20:07] Needless to say, I was freaked.
[00:20:09] Nothing like this had ever happened to me.
[00:20:11] I had never felt dread or mortal danger before.
[00:20:15] There was no way I was going home to sleep.
[00:20:18] There was only one thing I could do.
[00:20:20] I had to go see my friend, George.
[00:20:23] He and I loved ghost stories and tales of cryptids.
[00:20:26] He would regularly investigate abandoned houses or any other creepy stuff that we knew about.
[00:20:31] I had to see him.
[00:20:33] George lived in the country as well.
[00:20:35] I rolled up close to his house around 2.30am.
[00:20:38] I turned off the truck, popped it in neutral, and silently parked it at the end of the driveway.
[00:20:44] I walked up to George's garage and climbed up to the back of it.
[00:20:47] George lived separate from his parents' house in a room above the garage.
[00:20:51] I started banging on his window until he woke up.
[00:20:55] George opened the window and responded as any 18-year-old might respond when they were being woken up from a good sleep around 2.30 in the morning.
[00:21:03] He was cussing at me and insulting me when I said,
[00:21:06] I saw the pig man.
[00:21:07] George got quiet, evaluated my face, and a moment later he said,
[00:21:12] Meet me at the front door.
[00:21:14] So I climbed down and walked around to the base of the staircase from his room.
[00:21:18] A moment passed.
[00:21:19] Then the door opened.
[00:21:21] George appeared carrying two flashlights and two shotguns.
[00:21:25] He came down the staircase and said,
[00:21:27] Let's go.
[00:21:28] We got in his red jeep.
[00:21:30] It had oversized tires and big lights on the top.
[00:21:32] I navigated him to the spot where the strangeness had occurred.
[00:21:36] I had him pull off the road right where I saw the big dog shoot into the cornfield,
[00:21:41] and sure enough, cornstalks were bent.
[00:21:44] Something large had entered the cornfield at this spot, and very recently.
[00:21:49] The sight was reassuring for my sanity.
[00:21:51] A moment passed.
[00:21:52] I looked at George.
[00:21:54] George looked at me, and he said,
[00:21:56] Let's go.
[00:21:57] We got out of the jeep and analyzed the cornstalks.
[00:22:00] A trail of broken or bent cornstalks was easily visible.
[00:22:03] We entered the cornfield.
[00:22:05] We followed this trail for some time.
[00:22:07] I don't know the reality of the time.
[00:22:10] Maybe it was five minutes, maybe it was fifteen,
[00:22:12] but at some point, we came to a pause where it was eerily quiet.
[00:22:16] Then, all of a sudden, we heard something move.
[00:22:20] It's hard to see anything in there,
[00:22:22] but there was something southeast of us which hadn't been moving.
[00:22:26] Then, all of a sudden, it was moving quickly and breaking cornstalks
[00:22:29] and moving away from us rapidly, moving to the west.
[00:22:32] I looked at George, and he looked at me, and once again, he said, Let's go.
[00:22:37] We kept moving.
[00:22:39] Another five minutes or so had passed.
[00:22:41] We came to another spot that drew eerily quiet.
[00:22:44] Then we heard something.
[00:22:45] It was somewhere between a dog's growl and an elephant's trumpet.
[00:22:49] It was alarming and terrifying.
[00:22:51] I froze in an instant.
[00:22:54] Then, I heard something moving rapidly away from me.
[00:22:57] I looked at George.
[00:22:58] George was gone.
[00:22:59] George was running for the Jeep and had left me to die.
[00:23:03] After all, you don't have to outrun the thing.
[00:23:06] You just outrun your friend.
[00:23:08] I began running in the same direction.
[00:23:10] Nothing chased us.
[00:23:11] We got to the Jeep, and we drove to his house to sleep it off.
[00:23:15] We came back the next morning to investigate further under the light of day.
[00:23:19] We were able to follow the thing's trail through the entire cornfield, across a road, and into a soybean field.
[00:23:26] The trail went cold at an irrigation ditch in the middle of the soybean field.
[00:23:32] That's my story.
[00:23:34] However, I wanted to share a further thought.
[00:23:36] This story is called the Pig Man story, but only because of what we were exposed to growing up.
[00:23:42] Upon maturing and investigating the paranormal further, I now have a different interpretation of this story.
[00:23:48] I have now digested the legends of the Michigan Dog Man, the Beast of Bray Road, the story of a siege of a farm in Mississippi by dog men, and a story from a policeman somewhere around D.C.
[00:24:00] These locations surround Indiana.
[00:24:03] The thing stood on two legs, was over six feet tall, was dark and shadowy, and created a sense of dread in me.
[00:24:11] I now believe this was a dog man.
[00:24:15] I would love to hear your thoughts on this story.
[00:24:17] On dog men.
[00:24:19] On pig men.
[00:24:20] On whatever.
[00:24:21] Anyways, I hope you like it.
[00:24:23] Luke.
[00:24:27] Our last story of the night comes from Masiel.
[00:24:30] Masiel calls their story,
[00:24:32] Woman in Black.
[00:24:34] Masiel says,
[00:24:35] Hi Nick.
[00:24:36] I recently started listening to your podcast, and I want to say thank you for providing us with a place where we can feel comfortable telling our stories.
[00:24:44] I also want to apologize ahead of time, as my story is quite long, but I had to share.
[00:24:50] I was 11 or 12 years old when I first started seeing a woman, dressed all in black, with black long hair and a long face, staring at me in my room from the corner behind my door.
[00:25:03] She looked like she was floating.
[00:25:05] I would be so scared to the point where I couldn't move or scream because my throat would be so dry.
[00:25:12] I told my parents about what I was seeing, but they thought that I was having nightmares.
[00:25:17] At first, the woman in black would only stay for a couple of minutes, but then she started staying longer and longer.
[00:25:25] Finally, one night I couldn't help it anymore, and I fell asleep while she was staring at me.
[00:25:30] That's when she became aggressive.
[00:25:33] She started showing up in my dreams, calling me names and telling me that she wanted me to die, so she could take me with her.
[00:25:40] She also started scratching and hitting me and pulling my hair.
[00:25:45] When I would wake up, I would have marks on my body, but no matter how many times I told my parents what was happening, they always said that it was me doing it to myself.
[00:25:55] A few weeks after this started happening, I got really sick and ended up sleeping in my parents' room because of the fevers I would get.
[00:26:02] This was the only time that the woman in black couldn't get to me, but I could feel her standing in the hallway, waiting for me.
[00:26:10] That year we traveled to Mexico for Christmas, and due to my sister's medical condition, we traveled by car.
[00:26:17] I was still sick and would still get fevers at night, so no matter how much I tried to stay awake, the fever would knock me out, and I would see her again.
[00:26:27] This time she would tell me it was almost time for her to take me.
[00:26:32] During this trip, my parents finally realized something was wrong.
[00:26:36] When we got to my grandmother's house, they made me tell her what was happening to me.
[00:26:41] Surprisingly, my grandmother said she knew someone who could help, so the next morning we went to see this person.
[00:26:48] This person was like some sort of witch doctor.
[00:26:50] She gave me a long t-shirt and told me to take off all my clothes, and only wear the shirt.
[00:26:56] She made me stand in the middle of a white circle, and started bathing me with a home-cooked concocter.
[00:27:01] I had a long t-shirt with a black circle, and I had a long t-shirt with a black circle.
[00:27:04] When she was done, she told me to take off the shirt and throw it in a garbage bag.
[00:27:09] When I got back to my parents, I noticed that my mom was really upset, but she wouldn't say why.
[00:27:15] I never saw the woman in black, neither in my dreams nor in my room again after that.
[00:27:20] I recently learned why my mother was upset that day.
[00:27:24] Apparently, the witch doctor told my parents that there was a woman at my father's job who wanted to have an affair with him, but he refused and rejected her.
[00:27:33] According to my dad, the last time that he saw this woman, she told him that he would regret rejecting her.
[00:27:39] This was all around the time that I started seeing the woman in black.
[00:27:44] When we returned from our trip to Mexico, my dad was told that this woman just never returned to work one day, and no one ever saw her or heard from her again.
[00:27:53] My mom showed me a picture of my dad and his ex-coworkers at a Christmas party, and I nearly fell to the floor.
[00:28:00] The woman in black who terrorized me for weeks was in the picture, standing next to my dad, with long black hair and a black dress on.
[00:28:09] To this day, at 35 years old, I have not been able to sleep with the lights off, and after my mom showed me that picture, I haven't been able to get much sleep at all.
[00:28:19] The picture confirmed it wasn't my imagination. She was real.
[00:28:24] I feel like she's trying to come back to get me, and I'm scared, even though my husband sleeps right next to me.
[00:28:34] As we come to the end of yet another episode, I'd like to say a huge thank you to all of you for listening and supporting the podcast.
[00:28:41] And until next time, I hope all of you have a safe and healthy week.
