[00:00:27] [!asting]

[00:00:30] From creepy ghosts to tales of enlightenment, January was a month filled with listener stories.

[00:00:43] I'm always reminded of how vastly unique each and every one of our experiences are when reading your emails.

[00:00:50] But even though our experiences are different in many ways, there's always something that I can relate to,

[00:00:55] and I'm sure that most of you feel the same way.

[00:00:58] And the seven stories in tonight's show are no exception.

[00:01:02] The first time it happened, I was sleeping and woke up because I felt a hand on my leg and I realized that I couldn't move.

[00:01:13] And he'd come across this object on the ground, which was the shape of a flying saucer.

[00:01:19] So, he jumped out of his pickup and went down there, and there was four beings laying on the ground.

[00:01:24] When I raised my head back up, I was turning my head and out of my peripheral vision, I seen something hop to a tree.

[00:01:32] And it was tall, about seven, eight-foot tall, it was black, real hairy, like a gorilla.

[00:01:52] Welcome to the show, I'm your host Nick Ryan.

[00:01:56] Tonight's first story comes from Shelby, and Shelby says,

[00:02:00] "Today was the first time that I heard and binged your podcasts, which was a pleasant experience,

[00:02:06] until I was listening to episode 35, when I heard Trinity's experience, and I could relate in chilling ways.

[00:02:14] December 2018, I moved out of my parents' house at 19, with a boyfriend into his apartment.

[00:02:21] On the weekends, I would get up at 3am for work at 4.30am.

[00:02:26] A few months afterwards, in about June or July, I woke up, shut my alarm off, and immediately went into the bathroom.

[00:02:34] I stood in the mirror, brushing my teeth in dead silence, other than the running water,

[00:02:39] when my boyfriend jumped in the doorway, which I could see from the mirror, and screamed, "Boo!"

[00:02:45] I screamed loudly, and turned around immediately to yell at him for scaring me that way.

[00:02:50] I apparently didn't scream loud enough, because he was all the way in the bedroom, fast asleep still.

[00:02:56] Nothing happened since then, until last week.

[00:02:59] We moved into a apartment, and I was once again in the bathroom, after showering.

[00:03:05] He asked me to hurry up, so he could use the bathroom.

[00:03:08] So I just took my clothes with me into the bedroom, and started to get dressed, facing the mirror, in the bedroom.

[00:03:14] I didn't tell him that I was out yet, and started to get dressed.

[00:03:18] In the dresser mirror, I could see him walk past me, toward the bathroom, shirtless in his gray shorts,

[00:03:25] with a quick glance at me, which isn't very like him, to not find something to say about everything,

[00:03:31] so I called out his name.

[00:03:33] With no answer, I went to the bathroom which was in the direction he was walking, to see him not there.

[00:03:40] I immediately ran to the other side of the apartment, to see him sitting on the couch, confused why I burst into the room.

[00:03:47] The worst part? He was wearing something completely different. He was in black sweatpants, and a gray T-shirt.

[00:03:54] I've told him about both experiences, and he just laughs them off, too easily.

[00:04:02] Our next story comes from Joetta. Joetta says,

[00:04:06] I have often had deja vu, and even if I had dreams that later come to life. I often dreamt that my niece, Hillary, that I grew up with, would pass away.

[00:04:17] I've dreamed this throughout my childhood. A few months after her 26th birthday, she suddenly passed away.

[00:04:24] On November 24th, 2019, my sister sent me a picture of a test confirming that she was pregnant.

[00:04:31] We were ecstatic. She had lost her only child to an accidental drowning a year earlier.

[00:04:37] Later that night I went to bed, and had a very lucid dream.

[00:04:41] I had dreamt that my sister's pregnancy would end in miscarriage. I woke up devastated.

[00:04:47] I could not shake the feeling, so I called my mom on the way to work.

[00:04:51] I told her about the dream, and she assured me that everything would be just fine, and that it would not happen.

[00:04:58] My sister began to have complications a couple of months later, and lost the pregnancy on January 4th, 2020.

[00:05:06] I've had many of these prophetic dreams throughout my life, but couldn't explain them, and knew many wouldn't believe.

[00:05:13] This last time I confided in my mother before it happened, so I could at least have a witness to it.

[00:05:19] It's good to be able to share my experience with your podcast. Thank you. Joetta.

[00:05:26] Our next story comes from Jesse. Jesse says, "Hello. When I was about six years old, I had my first encounter with him.

[00:05:35] I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. When I opened the bedroom door, he was standing in the middle of the hallway staring at me with red eyes.

[00:05:43] I was scared, so I decided to run through him, and that's when he pushed me down the stairs.

[00:05:49] When I tumbled down, I saw him coming closer, so I ran to my father's room to tell him, but he was recording music, and made me leave so I told my mom, and she didn't believe me.

[00:05:59] I knew I wasn't sleeping. I knew it wasn't a dream.

[00:06:04] A couple years later, the house burned down, but no one was hurt. I saw the hat man leaving the house, going towards the woods.

[00:06:11] I ended up seeing him from afar, in the woods that same year.

[00:06:16] Fast forward to when I was sixteen, I was watching the TV show "A Haunting".

[00:06:21] They were talking about shadow people, so I googled an image of a shadow person, and I freaked out, to see him as a first result.

[00:06:29] I have many questions about what this entity is, and if I did the right thing fighting him.

[00:06:34] I've always been sensitive and been haunted by some spirits that are positive. I hope my story helps.

[00:06:43] Our next story comes from Richard in Ontario. Richard calls his story "Enlightenment".

[00:06:49] Richard says, "This story may not fit with your usual stories read on your podcast, but I believe something mysterious happened.

[00:06:57] November 2nd, 1979, is a date that changed my life forever.

[00:07:02] Growing up the youngest of five, with three brothers and one sister, two of my brothers are twelve, ten years, and my sister is eight years older.

[00:07:10] My other brother Jeff was the closest to my age, with just over three years.

[00:07:15] Well exactly three years and twenty-four days.

[00:07:18] Being so close in age, Jeff was the only sibling I played and interacted with daily.

[00:07:24] We had a group of friends all within the same age group, on our street.

[00:07:28] We would do all the things boys do, along with a few we shouldn't.

[00:07:32] One thing we truly enjoyed was wrestling and play fighting.

[00:07:35] This was no different, on the night of November 2nd.

[00:07:38] Jeff, along with two friends and myself, were wrestling on the front lawn of my parents house.

[00:07:44] After about twenty minutes my brother Jeff sat up and said he needed to rest.

[00:07:48] He then slumped over and did not move or speak.

[00:07:51] We thought he was fooling around, so we tickled him and tried to get him to laugh or wake up.

[00:07:56] After a few seconds, I realized there was something wrong.

[00:08:00] Jeff was born with a heart defect, and had had surgery in early summer, a few years prior.

[00:08:05] By the end of that summer he was back to his old self.

[00:08:08] However, my parents did tell everyone about the possibility that he would continue to have some issues.

[00:08:15] Once I realized that something was seriously wrong with him,

[00:08:18] I asked my two friends to stay with Jeff and I would go get my brother and his friends,

[00:08:22] who were partying in the basement of my parents house.

[00:08:25] One of my brother's friends was in university to become a doctor.

[00:08:29] Entering the front door, I had to pass by the living room where my parents were watching TV.

[00:08:34] As I crossed the doorway my mother asked me what was wrong.

[00:08:37] I did not answer.

[00:08:39] I proceeded past the living room and down the stairs to the basement.

[00:08:42] Entering what my brother called the swamp, aka his very large bedroom,

[00:08:46] my brother Pete almost immediately looked up and said,

[00:08:49] "There's something wrong with Jeff."

[00:08:51] After that point things started to become a dream.

[00:08:54] I don't know how we got from the basement back outside,

[00:08:57] but the next memory was seeing my brother's friend trying to resuscitate Jeff.

[00:09:02] I walked past them and reentered the front door of the house.

[00:09:05] The living room was empty.

[00:09:07] Passing the kitchen, I saw another of Pete's friends yelling on the phone to hurry up.

[00:09:12] I continued down the hall and passed our spare bedroom.

[00:09:15] There I saw one of my friends staring at our fish tank with a glazed look on his face.

[00:09:20] My next memory was watching the ambulance start down the street.

[00:09:24] A few of Pete's friends stayed with me while my parents were at the hospital.

[00:09:28] At around 11.45pm, Pete and my parents returned home.

[00:09:33] I was cleaning up my room when my mother opened my door with a look on her face I could understand.

[00:09:39] Jeff was gone.

[00:09:40] That night my mother held me while she tried to sleep.

[00:09:44] The next morning all my friends from our street were in a fort that my brother Jeff had designed,

[00:09:49] built and wired for electricity.

[00:09:51] The fort had a small bar and bench seating along two walls.

[00:09:55] I was sitting behind the bar, no one was saying anything.

[00:09:58] We were all in shock.

[00:10:00] At one point I looked down and saw a light switch lying on the floor.

[00:10:04] Explore picking it up, I experienced something I had never felt before or since. A tingle started

[00:10:10] at the bottom of my spine and worked its way up to my head. Looking at the switch in my

[00:10:14] hand, I knew exactly how Jeff did the electrical work in the fort. I had never known anything

[00:10:20] about electrical. I had no clue how a switch worked, how lights turned on or off, but

[00:10:26] from that moment I knew how he did the electrical and designed the fort. I looked at my friends

[00:10:31] and said, "I know how he did it, I know how he did everything."

[00:10:36] A few days later, my mother approached me and gave me Jeff's bank book. Jeff and I had

[00:10:41] been saving our paper route money to buy a snowblower to start our own snow removal

[00:10:45] business that winter. I asked her why I was getting his money. She said, "The knowledge

[00:10:50] and money of a person who dies goes to the person they love the most." I had never told

[00:10:56] my mother about the light switch incident. This totally freaked me out. I truly believed

[00:11:02] that this knowledge was passed to me that day. I understand everything about electricity,

[00:11:08] electronics, design and how things are built. Over the past 40 years I have rewired, renovated

[00:11:14] and maintained my homes. Last year I started to build a 1000 square foot addition to my

[00:11:20] current home. Thanks for reading, Rich. Our next story comes from Nicole in Kentucky.

[00:11:30] She calls her experience, "Ghost." Nicole says, "Hello, my name is Nicole. My husband

[00:11:36] and I rent a small farmhouse in rural Kentucky. Though we've had multiple strange experiences

[00:11:41] in this house in the two years that we've rented it, such as many unexplained noises

[00:11:46] and feelings hands on our backs. We had one recently that stood out. We had just finished

[00:11:51] bringing in groceries into our kitchen, and my husband had to run to a neighbor's house

[00:11:55] to drop something off. As I was putting things away, I got this horrible feeling like a feeling

[00:12:01] of piercing panic taking over me. I tried to brush it off and continue. I then heard

[00:12:06] heavy footsteps coming toward me as if they were in the next room. I quickly turned, thinking

[00:12:12] my husband had returned, but he had not. When I did hear him unlocking the front door, he

[00:12:17] comes in and immediately hollers, "Are you okay?" I told him yes, and asked why, not

[00:12:23] yet telling him about my bad feeling. He responded, saying he had a really strange feeling and

[00:12:28] heard strange breathing when he was at the door. We immediately left everything where

[00:12:33] it was in the kitchen and went to our room, where moments later the feeling was completely

[00:12:38] gone, and has not yet returned. My husband brushed it off, but I'm convinced we are not

[00:12:44] alone in this house.

[00:12:48] Our next story comes from Marcia, and she calls it "Office Entity". Marcia says, "Good

[00:12:54] afternoon. I wrote to you a few months back about an experience I had, when I was a child,

[00:12:59] and I was surprised when you shared it, but grateful as well. I am still a huge fan of

[00:13:04] the podcast, and I wanted to share a new experience my co-workers and I have had with an office

[00:13:09] entity. For the last few months, there has been noises in our office. We are accustomed

[00:13:14] to noises in the office from our printers, or AC, or the computer hums, but these are

[00:13:20] completely different. On a few different occasions, my co-worker that sits in the desk directly

[00:13:25] behind mine and I have heard faint haze or something dropping, and we look and nothing

[00:13:31] has fallen. We have heard tapping on our windows, and when we look, no one is there.

[00:13:37] One of the other ladies has seen someone walk by and has asked a question and realizes

[00:13:42] no one is in the office with her. It's gotten progressively more active, but nothing harmful.

[00:13:48] It has made all of us in the office more aware and a bit on edge, but not frightened.

[00:13:54] We have all had experiences, and there is five of us in the office. I know it's strange

[00:13:59] as the building is fairly new, but even in the archive space in the back of the building,

[00:14:04] the aura, if we can call it that, changes. It makes us want to get out of there quicker

[00:14:10] than we normally would in any other office. Thank you so much for your time. Have a great

[00:14:14] day. Marcia.

[00:14:19] Our next story comes from Eduardo. Eduardo says, "Hello, Nick. My name is Eduardo, and

[00:14:24] I've been listening to your podcast on Spotify for about a month now. Ever since the first

[00:14:29] episode, I've been wanting to write in my experiences from when I was seven or eight

[00:14:32] years old. It's a little long since it kind of takes place over the span of almost eight

[00:14:37] years in the first house I lived in in the US and the apartment we lived in for a couple

[00:14:43] years. I also included a story that's about my grandfather who passed away late in 2018.

[00:14:49] It's not really scary, but I think you'd like to hear what happened to me and my mom.

[00:14:54] Thank you for your time, and I hope you read this, and it would be an honor if it made

[00:14:58] to the podcast. My story starts around when I was seven or eight. I had just gotten to

[00:15:03] the US from Central America, and I was starting elementary school. I remember I used to sleep

[00:15:08] with my door open and the hallway light on. My room was also right across from my parents'

[00:15:14] room. The way my room was set up, if I laid on my left side on my bed, I would be able

[00:15:19] to see my door that led to the hallway, and in my field of view, I could see my digital

[00:15:24] clock on the nightstand. I don't remember what date it was exactly. I know it must have been

[00:15:29] a weekday because I had to wake up for school in the morning. That night I was tossing and

[00:15:34] turning for most of the night. It was around midnight when I finally got comfortable laying

[00:15:39] on my left side, and I dozed off to sleep. Then I opened my eyes, and the first thing

[00:15:44] I saw was my digital clock on the nightstand. It had 5.45AM on it. I was relieved to see

[00:15:51] that I had another 30 minutes before I had to get up to get ready for school. So I was

[00:15:55] just about to close my eyes. When I looked toward the hallway, then I saw a tall shadow

[00:16:00] figure just standing in between me and my door. It didn't have a shape, so I couldn't

[00:16:05] really say it was a man or a woman or some shape that I would recognize. I jolted from

[00:16:10] the scare since I hadn't seen it because I was looking at my clock. I froze, but I

[00:16:16] didn't really feel threatened or having a feeling that this entity was going to hurt

[00:16:19] me. Nonetheless, I was terrified and I laid in my bed frozen from fear and I didn't blink.

[00:16:26] I could see my clock out of the corner of my eye. I could see the time passing, 5.55,

[00:16:32] then 6, then 6.30. It felt like an eternity, but I was unable to move, speak, or even blink.

[00:16:41] I just stared into where I assume that the shadow's eyes would be if it had a face. Then

[00:16:46] all of a sudden, I managed to blink, and it was gone. Just like that, this huge shadow

[00:16:52] lingering near my bed just vanished. I was so scared that my first instinct was to get

[00:16:58] up and tell my parents, since I only had to run across the hall to their room, but I was

[00:17:03] stopped dead in my tracks when I noticed my clock. To my knowledge, it was 6.30 am and

[00:17:09] I was late to get up and get ready, and so were my parents, who were usually up at least

[00:17:14] 10 minutes before I am. I looked at my clock with even more fear when I saw that it was

[00:17:20] only 5.46. I had sworn I had kept unblinking eye contact with this figure for almost an

[00:17:27] hour, but when I came to, only a minute had passed. I was the most frightened I had and

[00:17:33] ever will be at that moment in my life. I didn't sleep the rest of the time, and I

[00:17:38] just decided to lie awake until my parents got up. I decided not to tell my parents because

[00:17:43] I didn't think they would believe me and just say that it was a nightmare, but I know

[00:17:47] it wasn't a nightmare. I was awake the whole time. That was the first paranormal experience

[00:17:53] I had, and it was a rude awakening to the many more I was about to have. From that night

[00:17:58] on, I began to have sleep paralysis episodes almost every day for the next 8 years while

[00:18:04] we lived in that house. While in sleep paralysis, I would see all of my toys turn to look at

[00:18:10] me while I was struggling to move or even speak. When I tried to move, it felt like my legs

[00:18:16] and my arms were being held down and I had a feeling that something heavy was being on

[00:18:21] my chest. All I could move was my eyes and my head from side to side, even though it

[00:18:27] was very slow. When I tried to speak, all that would come out was air, kind of like

[00:18:32] when you'd been screaming and your vocal cords give out, and it's just air moving out of

[00:18:38] your lungs. After the first few weeks of this, I told my parents, but as expected they just

[00:18:44] said that they were nightmares. But I've had nightmares before, and this was on a whole

[00:18:49] different level. After a month or so of having these sleep paralysis episodes, my mom got

[00:18:54] me a statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which doubled as a night light from a light bulb

[00:19:00] that was at the base of her feet. My mom at this point is very religious, so it started

[00:19:05] to worry her that I kept having these dreams, so she got me a religious statue to look

[00:19:10] over me as I slept. It worked for about 2-3 days, then the sleep paralysis started up

[00:19:17] again. But this time, whatever was tormenting me started to warp and distort the faces

[00:19:23] of my toys to look almost demonic with bright red eyes, horns, and fangs. Even the statue

[00:19:31] of the Virgin of Guadalupe's face distorted this way, I again didn't feel safe sleeping

[00:19:37] at night. As this happened more and more, the months turned into years. I started getting

[00:19:43] used to this, I expected the same thing to happen every night, so there was a point to

[00:19:48] where I wouldn't fight it. I wouldn't struggle to move or speak, I'd just lay there and

[00:19:53] just try to go back to sleep. Sometimes when I'd wake up, paralyzed, nothing would be moving

[00:19:59] to look at me, or faces getting distorted, but I would see this black cloud in the corner

[00:20:04] of my room right above my closet.

[00:20:07] Given all of my theories now is that the entity would feed off my fear, and so when

[00:20:12] I stopped reacting to all the imagery that it would give me, this thing decided to step

[00:20:16] it up to Poltergeist.

[00:20:19] The first instance of this was when I was 12-13.

[00:20:23] For a little background, I was left alone in my house because my parents both worked

[00:20:27] in the afternoon through the night, and I was alone for most of the day after school

[00:20:32] until one of my family friends that lived in the same neighborhood would pick me up and

[00:20:36] take me to her house.

[00:20:38] My parents didn't want me walking to their house by myself, so I had to wait at home

[00:20:42] until she was available to pick me up.

[00:20:45] One day I was home waiting on our family friend to pick me up, and I was in my parents' room

[00:20:49] watching TV when suddenly I hear guitar strings being strummed.

[00:20:54] I originally thought that it was the TV, so I muted the TV, but it happened again, and

[00:20:59] it was coming from my room in the closet.

[00:21:02] I had a very cheap blue guitar that my parents had bought for me because I was obsessed with

[00:21:07] the guitars for like a week and I kept it in my closet.

[00:21:11] A little freaked out I went into my closet to see what was going on, but there was nothing

[00:21:15] in my closet, so I returned to my parents' room, and I unmuted the TV, but kept it at

[00:21:21] a very low volume.

[00:21:22] Again, I started hearing the guitar strings being pulled one by one, and my first thought

[00:21:28] was that there was an animal in my closet, so I went back with a broom, and started poking

[00:21:33] around, and even emptying my closet of shoes and dirty clothes in my laundry basket, but

[00:21:37] I found nothing, so I put everything back, and as I closed my closet and was walking back

[00:21:42] to my parents' room, the guitar started being strummed, very fast, and extremely loud.

[00:21:50] It scared me so much I got out of the house and started running to our family friend's

[00:21:54] house.

[00:21:56] After that first poltergeist, if you can even call it that, things around the house started

[00:22:00] moving.

[00:22:01] Things were not where we left them, and some things even seemed to look like they were

[00:22:06] thrown across the room while we were gone.

[00:22:09] Not long after, my parents divorced, my dad left the house, and me and my mom stayed.

[00:22:16] Then a year afterwards, my mom met my now stepdad, and he moved in and soon after my

[00:22:21] mom was pregnant with my little sister.

[00:22:24] For some reasons unknown to me at the time, my mom didn't want my sister to have to live

[00:22:29] in that house, so we found an apartment down the road.

[00:22:33] In the new apartment, I felt like I could finally breathe.

[00:22:36] I still had sleep paralysis episodes, but they were few and far between, but after my

[00:22:41] sister was born and we came back to the apartment from the hospital, the apartment felt dark.

[00:22:47] Where there should have been excitement and happiness because of the newest member of

[00:22:50] our family, there was a lingering feeling of sorrow.

[00:22:55] For the first year or so, everything was normal, then almost out of nowhere my sister was having

[00:23:00] these horrible nightmares, where she'd scream for something or someone to let go of her,

[00:23:06] and she would scream like she was in intense pain.

[00:23:09] This would happen two to three times a week, and I didn't know how to protect her from

[00:23:13] these nightmares, which deep inside of me I knew, weren't just bad dreams.

[00:23:19] My mom thought it had something to do with bad energy that people would leave on her

[00:23:23] from interactions when she would be outside of the apartment.

[00:23:27] My stepdad didn't think anything at all.

[00:23:30] He was never a believer in the supernatural or anything of the sort.

[00:23:33] I was falling into a depression because I knew that this was like what was happening

[00:23:37] to me in our old house, where I was tormented by an evil entity, and I couldn't do anything

[00:23:43] to stop it from terrorizing my sister.

[00:23:45] Until one day I figured if I could distract this evil presence to focus on me instead

[00:23:50] of my sister, then she could be left alone.

[00:23:53] So one day while I was home alone, I turned off all the lights, and I just went into each

[00:23:57] room of the apartment.

[00:23:59] It was only a two bedroom, and I sat and tried to communicate with whatever it was in our

[00:24:04] home.

[00:24:05] I was sitting on the floor of my parents' closet with my eyes closed, asking this thing

[00:24:09] to mess with me instead of my sister.

[00:24:12] When I felt a burning sensation on my back and a loud growl in my left ear, I knew I

[00:24:18] was in the presence of something evil, and so I asked it to leave my sister alone.

[00:24:23] If it wanted to torment someone, that it should be me, and if it didn't agree with

[00:24:27] that, then it should leave our home, where it was not invited.

[00:24:31] At this point I have had plenty of experience with these entities where I wasn't too afraid

[00:24:36] to confront them compared to when I was younger, and I just let them bully me.

[00:24:41] In the closet there was a heavy feeling, and I couldn't breathe properly, but I sat there

[00:24:45] hoping that I had convinced this evil presence to go for me instead of my sister, and after

[00:24:50] a while the atmosphere lightened, and I got up and went on with the rest of my day.

[00:24:56] After that my sister was able to sleep much better, and she only had those types of hardcore

[00:25:00] nightmares once or only twice a month.

[00:25:04] As for me I didn't have nightmares, but I started seeing more shadows moving out of

[00:25:08] the corner of my eyes, and more things moving around, and things dropping, even though I

[00:25:13] know I put them far from any place they could possibly drop.

[00:25:17] It wasn't bad, not like at our previous house at least.

[00:25:21] After three years of living in that apartment, we were finally able to buy a house, and we

[00:25:25] since moved.

[00:25:26] Neither my sister nor I have had any problems with paranormal activity.

[00:25:31] Whatever those entities were, I'm glad we left them behind.

[00:25:36] I also have another story, but it's on the brighter side of things.

[00:25:40] Back in late 2018, my grandfather fell ill, and my mother flew to take care of him until

[00:25:45] he passed.

[00:25:47] I remember how hard it hit all of us that he got sick, and passed away after having

[00:25:51] seen him in early 2018 super healthy, even going on bike rides for hours at a time.

[00:25:57] When he passed, we were all extremely sad.

[00:26:00] I didn't want to talk to my mother about it because I didn't want her to become sad

[00:26:04] and start crying, but a couple of days after his passing, we were talking about him and

[00:26:09] remembering all the good times we had together.

[00:26:12] During that talk, my mom brought up that sometimes our loved ones have a little time

[00:26:16] to come by and check on us one last time before they head to heaven.

[00:26:21] Of course, I agreed with my mom and comforted her, and we both sat on the couch with tears

[00:26:25] on our eyes.

[00:26:27] Now I don't claim to know what happens after death, but my idea was that we die and our

[00:26:32] soul goes to heaven, no in between time like my mom had told me.

[00:26:37] That's what I thought until the day after we had that conversation.

[00:26:41] I had to go to work that morning, but I hadn't set my alarm the night before, so I was definitely

[00:26:45] going to oversleep.

[00:26:47] I was lying in bed asleep when I felt a strong nudge and then a grab on my shoulder.

[00:26:53] I thought it was my stepdad trying to wake me up, as he is the only one that moves me

[00:26:58] to wake me up.

[00:26:59] But when I opened my eyes, I looked around and there was no one, and I didn't hear my

[00:27:04] door open or close, so no one could have been in my room.

[00:27:08] Then I saw my clock, and I saw that it was 730, which is when my alarm was supposed to

[00:27:13] wake me up, if I had set it.

[00:27:16] I was almost immediately sure my grandfather was the one who woke me up.

[00:27:20] After waking up, I just felt warm and happy, so I know even in afterlife, he is looking

[00:27:25] after me.

[00:27:26] But what really confirmed that it was my grandfather, was that that night after working, I told

[00:27:32] my mom about it, and she told me that she had seen him in a dream, telling her not to

[00:27:36] be sad, that he will always be with us looking after us.

[00:27:41] I believed that he wanted to be in one of my dreams as well after visiting my mom, but

[00:27:46] he knew I had to wake up, so he nudged me awake instead.

[00:27:50] If you use this story on the podcast, I would like to send a message to my grandfather in

[00:27:55] heaven, or wherever he may be.

[00:27:58] We miss you so much, and we love you.

[00:28:00] You will always be in our hearts.
