CONTACTSUPPORTMy Wife’s Sleep and Relaxation Podcast

[00:00:15] Welcome once again, and thank you for being here. I'm your host, Nick Ryan.

[00:00:22] Happy New Year everyone, and welcome back to Paranormal Mysteries. I truly appreciate you listening.

[00:00:28] Before I start, I just want to let you know that I'm kind of in the beginning stages of a head cold or possibly even the flu, so if I sound a little different, please bear with me, and hopefully I'll be able to make it through this episode.

[00:00:41] But with that said, let's get on with tonight's show.

[00:00:45] Tonight's first encounter comes to us from David, and David's experience is called

[00:00:51] Don't Go Upstairs.

[00:00:54] David says,

[00:00:55] During college in the early 2000s, I lived with my parents in southeastern Virginia, and I commuted to the university that I attended.

[00:01:03] It was during those years that my parents sold the home my sister and I grew up in and moved us into a sprawling two-story brick house built in the late 1960s.

[00:01:12] The neighborhood was unassuming, a sleepy little subdivision where nothing much seemed to happen.

[00:01:18] For a college kid living at home, it seemed like the perfect setup.

[00:01:21] My bedroom was in what used to be the two-car garage, now converted into a private space with an exterior door that gave me the freedom to come and go unnoticed.

[00:01:31] The rest of my family stayed upstairs, a space that felt, from the very first day, oppressively wrong.

[00:01:39] The house itself had peculiarities that set it apart, the sort of details that stick in your mind and refuse to let go.

[00:01:47] In the den, just beyond the door connecting to my bedroom, a small closet had been repurposed into a liquor cabinet.

[00:01:53] It had been converted to storage by later owners, but the original intent was unmistakable.

[00:02:00] My bedroom had a drop ceiling with halogen lights that flickered at odd intervals, their unceasing hum a constant companion.

[00:02:08] Above the ceiling was a colony of camel crickets, their spindly legs creating an eerie clicking noise in the quiet of the night, until the infestation was finally resolved.

[00:02:18] But the most unsettling feature was upstairs, a panic room hidden behind an ordinary closet door in the hallway.

[00:02:27] A steel-rolling door like something out of a dystopian movie could be pulled down and locked from the inside.

[00:02:34] The room stretched back ten feet before turning sharply, disappearing into a claustrophobic void between one of the bedrooms and the outer wall.

[00:02:42] Empty shelves lined its interior.

[00:02:45] Their purpose?

[00:02:46] Unknown.

[00:02:47] Unknown.

[00:02:48] Our elderly neighbor told my father she had lived next door for decades and had known the previous owner, a man who had passed away in the house just a year and a half before.

[00:02:57] A new family had moved in shortly afterward, only to leave abruptly less than a year later.

[00:03:03] When we arrived, the neighbor asked if we had experienced anything odd yet.

[00:03:07] At the time, we hadn't.

[00:03:09] Her question, however, felt less like small talk, and more like a warning.

[00:03:14] From the start, I couldn't shake the oppressive feeling upstairs, especially in the hallway.

[00:03:20] The air felt heavy, almost tangible, like something unseen was watching.

[00:03:25] Waiting.

[00:03:26] There were days when the energy became so intense, so suffocating, that I avoided going upstairs altogether.

[00:03:33] Other times, the presence seemed to grudgingly allow my existence.

[00:03:38] But I was never alone.

[00:03:40] Whispers floated in the air, unintelligible, but persistent.

[00:03:44] Footsteps echoed in the hallway, heavy and deliberate.

[00:03:48] Yet no one was ever there.

[00:03:49] My family, who slept upstairs, endured worse.

[00:03:54] My father often spoke of strange occurrences in his room.

[00:03:57] Someone, or something, would sit on his bed at night.

[00:04:01] He could feel the mattress sink and hear the creak of the springs.

[00:04:05] Lights, glowing orbs of various colors, would appear out of nowhere.

[00:04:09] On more than one occasion, he woke to his bed violently shaking, as though the house itself was angry.

[00:04:17] My sister's experience in the bathroom still freaks her out.

[00:04:20] One day, while she was showering, one of my mom's knick-knacks flew off the wall and crashed onto the floor.

[00:04:26] As she screamed in reaction, the light switch flicked off on its own.

[00:04:31] For weeks afterward, she refused to shower unless someone else was upstairs with her.

[00:04:36] My mom, a homemaker who spent most of her time alone in the house, was haunted in her own way.

[00:04:41] She would hear phantom conversations, voices murmuring just out of reach.

[00:04:46] Years later, she confided that the house had taken a toll on her,

[00:04:50] draining her joy and leaving her with a sense of despair that clung to her like a shadow.

[00:04:56] She believed without a doubt that whatever lingered in the house had marked her.

[00:05:02] One morning, I experienced something that stays with me to this day.

[00:05:06] I had slept in late, stretched out on my bed, which had a sturdy wooden frame from my childhood.

[00:05:12] The headboard, which was a small bookshelf, rattled with the remnants of soda cans I hadn't cleaned up,

[00:05:17] as well as other decor that I had collected.

[00:05:20] As I sat up, groggy and disoriented, I noticed my cat wasn't in her usual spot.

[00:05:25] Then, I felt it.

[00:05:27] A deep, rhythmic shaking.

[00:05:30] My bed trembled beneath me, the vibrations traveling through the wooden frame.

[00:05:34] The cans on my headboard clattered, but the rest of the room was perfectly still.

[00:05:39] It hit me like a punch to the chest.

[00:05:42] This is what my dad described.

[00:05:44] My bed is shaking.

[00:05:46] For what felt like half a minute, the bed quaked, as if some unseen force was testing its strength.

[00:05:52] Then, just as abruptly as it began, it stopped.

[00:05:56] Silence returned, but I couldn't bring myself to move.

[00:06:00] I sat waiting for something, anything to happen next.

[00:06:03] But nothing.

[00:06:04] Normality had returned, and the absurd faded from my grasp.

[00:06:09] Even my fiancée, now my wife, had her own encounter.

[00:06:14] One evening, while helping my mom pack as my parents prepared to leave the house,

[00:06:18] she stayed upstairs alone to finish boxing up a few things.

[00:06:22] While she worked, a voice came from the hallway, clear and deliberate.

[00:06:26] She turned to answer, but there was no one there.

[00:06:30] Everyone else was downstairs.

[00:06:32] We only lived in that house for two and a half years,

[00:06:35] yet those years left an indelible mark on all of us.

[00:06:39] Strangely, the family who purchased it after us has remained there ever since.

[00:06:43] I hope that if the restless spirit of the house's past owner truly lingers,

[00:06:48] that he has found some measure of peace.

[00:06:51] Thank you, Nick, for sharing my story and all of our stories from the community.

[00:06:56] Your podcast is a wonderful way to fill the long hours of driving back and forth to work.

[00:07:05] Our next experience of the night comes to us from James.

[00:07:09] And James' experience is called

[00:07:12] Flatwoods Monster, Mothman, and Haunted Houses, Oh My.

[00:07:18] James says,

[00:07:19] Hello.

[00:07:20] I recently discovered your podcast and love the short-form style of many of the episodes.

[00:07:25] I also wanted to share some of my experiences with you and the other fans of the podcast.

[00:07:30] I grew up with an uncle who had a degree in journalism and metallurgy.

[00:07:34] He would routinely scare us with stories of a giant beaver named Bucky.

[00:07:38] He was at least as tall as the biggest trees in the woods behind my grandmother's house.

[00:07:43] As I got older, I became less afraid of that story.

[00:07:46] But he gave me a copy of Mothman Prophecies by John Keel in my early teens.

[00:07:51] I probably wore that book out, and I'm on my third copy.

[00:07:55] Plus, I have the audiobook on Audible.

[00:07:58] In March 2008, I took a poorly planned motorcycle trip to Tale of the Dragon

[00:08:03] on the Georgia-Tennessee border with some friends.

[00:08:06] It snowed, sleeted, and rained the entire way from Columbus, Ohio to Cleveland, Tennessee,

[00:08:11] where we finally got the opportunity to dry off.

[00:08:14] We did the group rides on the wonderful roads in and around DeLonga, Georgia before heading home.

[00:08:20] I then broke off from my group to stop by Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

[00:08:24] I found a coffee shop and directions to the T&T area where I parked my bike.

[00:08:29] And I took a walk.

[00:08:31] As long ago as the Mothman incidents happened, the T&T area was foreboding.

[00:08:36] The fact that there were multiple animal skeletons in the area probably didn't help much.

[00:08:40] The T&T area Quonset huts were pretty intimidating as well,

[00:08:44] but I managed to summon the nerves to go inside and take some pictures.

[00:08:48] I have posted them online on some forums,

[00:08:51] and some people have sworn that they could see spirits inside the buildings.

[00:08:54] I have attached them for your viewing.

[00:08:57] I also found out during a trip to visit my dad's grave in West Virginia,

[00:09:02] though he was only four when it happened,

[00:09:04] that he lived down the road from Flatwoods, West Virginia, in Sutton, West Virginia.

[00:09:09] My dad and I were good friends,

[00:09:11] so it pains me that he passed away in 2013,

[00:09:14] at the age of 63,

[00:09:16] before he got to meet his grandsons.

[00:09:18] I'm sure that he and the youngest would have been inseparable best pals.

[00:09:22] My dad and I both loved paranormal TV shows,

[00:09:25] and we got really into supernatural before he passed.

[00:09:28] I still rewatch it at times to feel some connection to him.

[00:09:33] I have had a few incidents or stories that have made me think that he's still around,

[00:09:37] watching over his grandsons.

[00:09:39] My dad did not pass away in the family home,

[00:09:42] which I later bought from my mom,

[00:09:44] but he was definitely there at times.

[00:09:46] Dad was a good-natured practical joker,

[00:09:49] and a great storyteller.

[00:09:51] Shortly after he passed,

[00:09:52] my mom had lost an earring.

[00:09:54] She tore her jewelry box apart looking for it,

[00:09:57] looking underneath it,

[00:09:58] moving everything off the dresser, etc.

[00:10:01] Finally, after a lot of frustration,

[00:10:03] she said,

[00:10:04] Knock it off, Bob.

[00:10:05] It was then that the earring was immediately found

[00:10:08] underneath the jewelry box

[00:10:09] that had already been checked under.

[00:10:12] At one point,

[00:10:13] one of our neighbors had a house fire,

[00:10:15] so she ended up sleeping on our couch for a few nights

[00:10:17] before she opted to find another place to stay,

[00:10:20] because of something that happened.

[00:10:23] Dad was a flannel collar guy.

[00:10:25] He had always worked construction,

[00:10:27] and was an accomplished woodworker making custom cabinets.

[00:10:30] He worked early in the morning,

[00:10:32] and was usually up around 4 a.m.

[00:10:34] Well, our guest was awakened at around 4.15 in the morning,

[00:10:38] as she heard footsteps coming down the stairs,

[00:10:40] and the front door opening,

[00:10:41] and then closing.

[00:10:43] The following morning,

[00:10:44] she asked us who was up that early.

[00:10:46] We were all confused,

[00:10:47] as no one was up,

[00:10:49] and that was around the time

[00:10:50] that he would have normally gone to work.

[00:10:52] I don't recall anything like that happening.

[00:10:55] Before or since.

[00:10:57] My only biological son was born in May of 2018,

[00:11:02] and during the fall,

[00:11:03] I was watching TV in bed,

[00:11:04] and my wife was asleep next to me,

[00:11:07] when Logan, who was 5 months old,

[00:11:09] started fussing in his crib.

[00:11:11] It was then that his mobile turned on by itself,

[00:11:13] and he calmed down,

[00:11:15] and quickly went back to sleep.

[00:11:17] It never acted up again,

[00:11:19] though we did decide to throw it away later,

[00:11:21] just to be sure there wasn't an electrical

[00:11:23] or safety issue with it.

[00:11:26] Around the same time,

[00:11:27] I was watching Supernatural

[00:11:28] and bouncing him on his feet

[00:11:30] while he was facing me,

[00:11:31] but he kept looking to his right,

[00:11:33] my left,

[00:11:34] at the curious cabinet in the corner

[00:11:36] where we kept family heirlooms

[00:11:38] like ashes,

[00:11:39] pictures,

[00:11:40] knickknacks,

[00:11:40] etc.

[00:11:41] and he was laughing hysterically.

[00:11:43] I asked my wife to take a picture of us

[00:11:46] and the cabinet,

[00:11:47] as I was curious if he was actually seeing something,

[00:11:50] had gas,

[00:11:51] or whatever.

[00:11:52] In the picture she took,

[00:11:53] there was a face in the image.

[00:11:55] I have attached a picture of the cabinet,

[00:11:57] the same picture with the face outlined,

[00:11:59] as well as a picture of my dad.

[00:12:01] I'm certain that he was keeping my baby entertained

[00:12:04] on that night.

[00:12:06] The last incident was after the baby started talking.

[00:12:09] He saw a picture of my dad

[00:12:11] and he said that he had seen him before.

[00:12:13] He said something along the lines of,

[00:12:15] I saw him before I was born,

[00:12:18] in my body.

[00:12:21] Thanks for listening,

[00:12:22] and keep up the great podcast.

[00:12:26] James.

[00:13:11] and I'll be right back,

[00:13:12] after these brief messages.

[00:13:18] Our next experience comes to us from Obiswan,

[00:13:21] and their experience is called

[00:13:24] Cold State.

[00:13:26] Obiswan says,

[00:13:28] So I just wanted to share another creepy experience I had about a year ago.

[00:13:32] I was in a rather good mood,

[00:13:34] and wanted to try and meditate.

[00:13:35] Practice some mindfulness,

[00:13:37] and maybe attempt astral projection

[00:13:39] to see if I was able to once again.

[00:13:41] This is something that I try on occasion,

[00:13:43] because I have had lots of luck prior to my run-in with a violent entity,

[00:13:47] when I was 17.

[00:13:48] I am 41 years old now.

[00:13:51] I have been having a lot of really weird visions when I wake up lately.

[00:13:55] Last night,

[00:13:56] it was two small right arms of a child.

[00:13:59] Yes,

[00:13:59] two right arms.

[00:14:00] And they were reaching to me from my bedroom doorknob,

[00:14:03] and this was just before my son knocked on my door at 3 a.m. to ask me a random question.

[00:14:10] These arms hung out for a while before they dissipated,

[00:14:12] and I finally opened the door to speak with my son.

[00:14:15] The night before,

[00:14:17] there was a confused individual in white hospital robes pacing quickly at the foot of my bed.

[00:14:22] Before that evening was a ball of playful black tendrils writhing in and around the objects on my dresser.

[00:14:28] As you can see,

[00:14:30] there are always fun things going on with my head,

[00:14:32] but as I stated above,

[00:14:34] I have a new thing that happened that day,

[00:14:36] that I wanted to share.

[00:14:39] I began my meditation,

[00:14:40] and everything was going well.

[00:14:42] Breathing exercises helped me to relax.

[00:14:44] I began to feel my mind expand,

[00:14:46] and I felt myself begin to float.

[00:14:49] I figured it would be a good time to do some self-diagnostics,

[00:14:52] and try to find out why my memories were more foggy than normal,

[00:14:56] and why I'd been having more issues trying to focus lately.

[00:14:59] My mind began to open more,

[00:15:01] and I felt like I was finally able to access an area of my being that was shot off to me for some time.

[00:15:07] It's hard to explain,

[00:15:08] but my mind felt whole for a moment,

[00:15:10] and I had a level of clarity that I have not felt in a very long time.

[00:15:15] In my mind's eye,

[00:15:17] I was in a forest grove surrounded by dark forest and some ancient-looking trees.

[00:15:21] The sky was a beautiful violet-purple.

[00:15:24] It was a place of peace,

[00:15:26] an area that I had often gone to in my mind to meditate in the past.

[00:15:30] But, as the old adage goes,

[00:15:32] all good things must come to an end.

[00:15:36] Suddenly, the temperature in the room,

[00:15:38] the physical side,

[00:15:39] felt like it dropped.

[00:15:40] My lips felt like I was breathing in a blizzard,

[00:15:43] and my teeth felt sensitive to the cold.

[00:15:45] The air felt frigid as it entered my lungs,

[00:15:48] and I felt like I had ice forming on my mustache.

[00:15:51] Then,

[00:15:52] looming above the trees,

[00:15:53] I noticed a large dark figure in my mindscape moving closer to me.

[00:15:58] I instantly bubbled up in my mind,

[00:16:00] and I noped the hell out of there,

[00:16:02] and I then got up from my meditation.

[00:16:05] Everything was room temperature,

[00:16:07] no frost,

[00:16:08] etc.

[00:16:09] I have never had that happen during a meditation before.

[00:16:13] I have so many weird experiences

[00:16:15] that I normally would not have brought this one up,

[00:16:17] but I've never had that sudden cold

[00:16:19] that many people talk about.

[00:16:21] It was actually rather neat.

[00:16:23] I'm still not sure how far I believe in the supernatural,

[00:16:26] as I cling hard to science for my explanations.

[00:16:29] But if I am wrong,

[00:16:30] I am pretty sure

[00:16:32] that I am haunted.

[00:16:34] Have any of my fellow oddlings

[00:16:36] ever had

[00:16:37] similar experiences?

[00:16:42] Our final story of the night

[00:16:44] comes to us from Brittany,

[00:16:46] and Brittany's experience is called

[00:16:48] A Ghost,

[00:16:50] A Hag,

[00:16:51] and an Angel.

[00:16:53] Brittany says,

[00:16:54] I have had many experiences

[00:16:56] with the unexplained throughout my life.

[00:16:58] This story, however,

[00:17:00] takes a few twists and turns.

[00:17:02] My cousin, Sarah,

[00:17:04] passed away the day after my birthday in 2016.

[00:17:07] She was only 21.

[00:17:10] Obviously, this devastated my family,

[00:17:12] but probably none more than my grandma,

[00:17:14] whom she was very close with.

[00:17:16] My grandma,

[00:17:17] for as long as I can remember,

[00:17:19] has always been sweet,

[00:17:20] innocent,

[00:17:21] but also a little bit nutty.

[00:17:23] Ever since my cousin's death,

[00:17:25] she has talked about how Sarah is an angel,

[00:17:27] and visits her often.

[00:17:29] Fast forward to 2023,

[00:17:31] and I gave birth to my son.

[00:17:33] I had never had any kind of strange experiences

[00:17:36] in my house

[00:17:36] in the five years leading up to that.

[00:17:39] I started noticing

[00:17:40] that things would have fallen off my countertop

[00:17:42] in the middle of the night,

[00:17:43] some in very odd ways

[00:17:45] that I couldn't recreate.

[00:17:46] Then, one morning at around 5.30,

[00:17:49] right after my husband had left for work,

[00:17:51] I was laying in bed,

[00:17:52] and I heard a very faint song.

[00:17:54] It was so quiet

[00:17:56] that I wondered if the silence

[00:17:57] was just playing tricks on me.

[00:18:00] As I lay there focusing,

[00:18:01] trying to identify it,

[00:18:03] I finally recognized the melody.

[00:18:05] It was a music box

[00:18:06] that my grandma had given me many years ago

[00:18:08] that was sat on a bookshelf

[00:18:10] just outside my bedroom.

[00:18:12] Just a few days before that,

[00:18:13] I had been using it

[00:18:14] to put my baby to sleep.

[00:18:16] I would have thought

[00:18:17] that maybe it had gotten stuck

[00:18:19] and then broke loose

[00:18:20] for a few notes

[00:18:21] like a music box sometimes does,

[00:18:23] except it played the whole song

[00:18:24] through multiple times

[00:18:26] as if it had been wound all the way up.

[00:18:28] This finally made me wonder

[00:18:29] if perhaps my cousin

[00:18:31] was indeed coming around

[00:18:32] to see the baby.

[00:18:34] I told my grandma about this,

[00:18:36] and she was so happy to hear

[00:18:38] that Sarah was watching over us

[00:18:40] as well.

[00:18:41] As much as I am intrigued

[00:18:43] by the paranormal,

[00:18:44] it does freak me out quite a bit,

[00:18:46] so I decided that I wanted

[00:18:47] to try and find an answer.

[00:18:49] If it was her,

[00:18:50] I could take comfort in it,

[00:18:51] but if it wasn't,

[00:18:53] I needed to get it gone.

[00:18:55] I believe that mediums exist,

[00:18:57] however,

[00:18:57] I am highly skeptical

[00:18:58] of how many who claim to be

[00:19:00] actually are.

[00:19:02] I found one local to me

[00:19:03] who calls herself

[00:19:04] an angel medium,

[00:19:06] meaning that she can communicate

[00:19:07] with angels.

[00:19:08] I'll be honest,

[00:19:09] I was very skeptical

[00:19:10] of this claim,

[00:19:11] but I went in with

[00:19:12] as open a mind as I could,

[00:19:14] hoping that she might say something

[00:19:15] that would resonate.

[00:19:17] I didn't tell her specifically

[00:19:18] what answers

[00:19:19] I was looking for.

[00:19:21] I'll be honest,

[00:19:22] she said a lot of things

[00:19:23] that seemed odd

[00:19:24] and didn't make sense to me.

[00:19:25] The strangest of all

[00:19:27] was when she asked me

[00:19:28] if I lived near water.

[00:19:29] I live up on a hill

[00:19:31] in the woods.

[00:19:31] We do, however,

[00:19:32] have a pond,

[00:19:33] and I asked her

[00:19:34] if that was what she meant.

[00:19:35] However,

[00:19:36] she told me no.

[00:19:37] She saw running water.

[00:19:39] I then told her

[00:19:40] that it has a waterfall,

[00:19:41] and maybe that was it.

[00:19:43] Once again, though,

[00:19:43] she told me no.

[00:19:45] She was seeing something

[00:19:46] more like a creek

[00:19:47] or even a river.

[00:19:48] That's when I realized

[00:19:49] that, oh yeah,

[00:19:51] there was a large creek

[00:19:52] that runs right at the bottom

[00:19:53] of my hill.

[00:19:54] It's just hard to see it

[00:19:55] from the road.

[00:19:56] She then proceeded to say

[00:19:58] that she was seeing

[00:19:59] a very dark entity

[00:20:00] that dwelled by the creek.

[00:20:02] She said that it presented itself

[00:20:04] to her as looking

[00:20:05] like a haggard old woman

[00:20:06] wearing black,

[00:20:07] but that she knew

[00:20:08] it wasn't in true form.

[00:20:10] She said this entity

[00:20:11] liked to create chaos

[00:20:12] and didn't belong here.

[00:20:14] It needed to go.

[00:20:16] So,

[00:20:17] she called upon

[00:20:17] the archangel Michael

[00:20:18] to banish this entity.

[00:20:21] Over the next few minutes,

[00:20:22] with her eyes closed,

[00:20:23] she proceeded to describe to me

[00:20:25] a battle between Michael

[00:20:26] and this entity,

[00:20:27] until, finally,

[00:20:29] she said Michael

[00:20:30] had torn her to pieces

[00:20:31] and had rid the earth

[00:20:32] of her presence.

[00:20:33] I took all of this

[00:20:35] with a huge grain of salt.

[00:20:37] As we were getting close

[00:20:38] to the end of our time,

[00:20:39] I decided to just tell her

[00:20:41] why I was there

[00:20:42] and what I was looking for.

[00:20:44] She then said

[00:20:45] that she had located

[00:20:46] my cousin

[00:20:46] and said that she was wet

[00:20:48] and scared.

[00:20:49] She told me that my cousin

[00:20:50] had come to me

[00:20:51] looking for help.

[00:20:52] Perhaps the new baby

[00:20:53] had presented a beacon

[00:20:54] to draw her here.

[00:20:56] She then told me

[00:20:57] that she saw

[00:20:57] a grandmotherly figure

[00:20:59] come forward

[00:20:59] through the veil

[00:21:00] to lead her

[00:21:01] to the other side,

[00:21:02] but that as she was going,

[00:21:03] a little dog

[00:21:04] ran up to her.

[00:21:06] She said that Sarah

[00:21:07] looked overjoyed

[00:21:08] to see this dog

[00:21:08] and bent down

[00:21:09] to pick it up.

[00:21:10] One thing my cousin

[00:21:11] was very much known for

[00:21:13] was her love of animals,

[00:21:14] and she did have

[00:21:15] a small dog

[00:21:15] that survived her,

[00:21:17] but had finally

[00:21:17] been put down

[00:21:18] about a year prior to this.

[00:21:20] I left this appointment

[00:21:22] wanting to believe

[00:21:23] what she said

[00:21:24] about my cousin,

[00:21:25] but not feeling

[00:21:25] very confident

[00:21:26] about the whole experience.

[00:21:28] On my way home,

[00:21:29] I was just a short way

[00:21:30] up the dirt road

[00:21:31] that goes up the hill

[00:21:32] to my house

[00:21:33] when I came across

[00:21:34] a large tree

[00:21:35] that had fallen

[00:21:35] across the road.

[00:21:38] It was not windy

[00:21:38] on that day.

[00:21:39] It was also

[00:21:40] at the only point

[00:21:40] where you can look down

[00:21:42] and see the creek

[00:21:42] from the road.

[00:21:43] There is also a house

[00:21:45] just past this point.

[00:21:47] I got out of my car

[00:21:48] and I saw the woman

[00:21:49] in her yard.

[00:21:50] She walked over to me

[00:21:51] and said that another neighbor

[00:21:52] was on his way down

[00:21:53] with a chainsaw

[00:21:54] and a tractor.

[00:21:55] She told me

[00:21:56] that the tree

[00:21:57] had just randomly

[00:21:57] come down

[00:21:58] about an hour ago.

[00:22:00] This would have been

[00:22:01] about the same time

[00:22:02] this medium

[00:22:02] was telling me

[00:22:03] about the battle

[00:22:04] taking place.

[00:22:05] I began

[00:22:06] to believe.

[00:22:08] A few days later,

[00:22:09] there was a birthday

[00:22:10] in my family

[00:22:11] and we all went out

[00:22:12] to dinner.

[00:22:12] I opted not to tell

[00:22:14] my grandma

[00:22:14] about my experience

[00:22:15] because I didn't want

[00:22:16] to give her a reason

[00:22:17] to think that she might

[00:22:18] stop getting her nightly visits

[00:22:20] that brought her

[00:22:20] so much comfort.

[00:22:22] But,

[00:22:22] as we were getting ready

[00:22:23] to leave,

[00:22:24] my grandma pulled me

[00:22:25] to the side.

[00:22:26] She asked me

[00:22:27] if I had seen Sarah lately

[00:22:28] because she hadn't been

[00:22:30] coming the last few nights

[00:22:31] and she was becoming worried.

[00:22:33] So it was then

[00:22:34] that I told her

[00:22:35] about the medium

[00:22:36] and that Sarah

[00:22:37] was reunited

[00:22:38] with her dog

[00:22:39] and finally got to go home.

[00:22:41] She seemed both happy

[00:22:42] and a little sad

[00:22:43] and she then asked me

[00:22:45] if that meant

[00:22:45] that she wouldn't

[00:22:46] see Sarah anymore.

[00:22:48] I told her

[00:22:49] that I didn't know

[00:22:50] but that I do know

[00:22:51] that they'll be together

[00:22:53] again one day.

[00:22:58] I hope you all
